  1. Looks rubbish, rather be in Yorkshire 😜
  2. Nothing at all, it's a spam account, some slip through - if you see similar in future, please just report the post so we get a notification to have a look - ta.
  3. phwoooarr, that's a beaut - welcome along.
  4. Is this ready yet??? I'm sooooo excited!!!
  5. Wow, what an amazing meet. Huge shout out to you @davey_83 for making this happen. Even getting a small event going is hard work, but something this big is amazing. Well done and thank you for all the effort that goes into it. So pleased you got the weather and turnout this deserved, awesome job organising and thanks also for the YouTube of it all. Top work.
  6. Went to visit the fam up in the Lakes on Saturday, weather was not heat wave standard but it made for a couple of moody shots.
  7. Not at all, the day was great and whilst contact would have really upset the apple cart, all’s well that ends well. Most of the straights are passing by consent, but that section is strictly no passing in the briefing. Like most things in life, it would work perfectly if there no bellends to contend with.
  8. Another fun day out in the Miata, this time at Blyton with opentrack, who put on a good day without too many cars and with some tuition opportunities thrown in for free too. Always good to get some feedback, especially after you’ve been around a track a fair bit and not making any headway. A couple of new lines, a new turn in point and a new brake marker and I’d took 1.5 seconds off - all for free and with no shipping time from Japan! Since the last run out at Caldwell, she’s now got powerflex bushes all over the front and rear suspension bits and speaking of suspension, Ohlins all around too. This is my first foray into coilovers, so I’m excited to tinker. Big shout out to the guys at BBR GTI who fitted the lot and set me up with their stock alignment to work from. First impressions are that the slightly scary floaty feel is gone, with much reduced pitch and roll, which is what I’d hoped for from the coilovers. I always felt a bit like I was bouncing around a bit with the car, instead of it going for a drive with me. It’s still sensible on the road, but obviously I now feel every change in road surface via the bushes. Little highlight reel of some red flags, couple of my laps and a non-consensual overtake - now I know how it feels to be violated #metoo Plus a few snaps. On the downside, the brakes have gone weird. I changed the pads for my first track day and all was perfect. Then on the last one at Cadwell I had a bit of a scary moment when I got to one of the bigger braking zones and had MUCH less stopping power. I put this down to pad fade, but similar happened at Blyton and before I’d got them particularly hot. I noticed that if I double tapped the brakes, I got a nice firm pedal and the pads were still working fine I don’t think it’s just air in the pedal, it doesn’t feel like the traditional sponge. Maybe pad knock back, possibly from less than perfect disks that have been on there forever??? Open to suggestions on this one gang.
  9. Easiest way is to upload to YouTube and post here.
  10. Little one from this year's trip to the frozen north.
  11. Yay, another MX5 friend. The FI thing is interesting, I’d love it for track but don’t really need it for road (occasional overtakes). On track I spent so much time hustling in the corners up to people only for them to nail it on the straight and then park on the next apex. One thing I’m defo doing is Ohlins coils and replacement bushes. It’s mainly for track and I’m hoping this will only improve things.
  12. I tired to read it but got defeated by the all the garbage. Is there a rate per mile quoted anywhere amongst the clickbait and comparison with non-assisted?
  13. Top down is terrible for aero and I can’t afford to give any speed away on the long straights! Drove home with it down 😎
  14. Little bit of in car. My Mx5 and my mate's Mini posting very similar times. Me finding out the brakes were a bit warm - about half way into the big braking zone
  15. Went to Cadwell yesterday with the MX5. What a track that is! Properly challenging elevation changes, double apex corners everywhere, jumps, the whole lot. Absolutely loved it. Hospitality tent for the babes to hang out in. All kinds of saucy metal out. I want tyre warmers! Plus some pro shots from the day too Fantastic day out, great facilities and such an amazing circuit - if you've not been, get it on your list.
  16. Sack the photographer and have you refurbished those wheels yet? I’ve been curious about the Hydropel, good to see used as god intended. I’d forgotten what it was for and been happily using it to wipe down door jambs after a wash. Seems to do that just fine.
  17. A mate was driving his incredible V6 Jag engined Peugeot ute... ...at Blyton today (this was a fallback vehicle as his track toy suffered a last minute hitch). I wasn't driving, just snapping, some cool stuff out. And a rather saucy MX5 in the parking area
  18. Paid 201p on the motorway the other day, up near Newcastle
  19. I hear ze German paint is hard AF.
  20. The long, but careful way, is to go into each one and hit options in the top right and delete conversation. The easier way to do it en masse, is to use the check box on the left and then at the bottom of the screen you should a little pop up with a bin in it, click that.
  21. Oh wow, that’s a swish setup, very jealous. Enjoy!
