  1. Cracking looking trip and some glorious scenes, that TVR in purple Great vid too, very nicely put toghether and just the right length to be fun but not drag on.
  2. I love these, great subtle mod.
  3. Except I've got grip on the rear and none up front Can't change the rubber until I decide on the wheels, so the Apollos are here to stay for a while.
  4. They're better than I expected, I might chuck the Michelins on the rear away, go Apollo all round..
  5. Thanks mate Not that different to the Zed in terms of daily livability. I get 30mpg instead of 20. Having, even frankly tiny, rear seats has its benefits every now and again. With the seats down there's a ton of boot space, I'm hoping to find out this afternoon if I can get a bike in there. The controls are all lighter than the Z, especially the clutch. The seats are perfect, even with my commodious rear. I miss the Zed's low down torque, there's a distinct flat spot between 2-4k but I wasn't expecting anything else. I'm getting quite bored of the piped in induction noise, so I may plug that and see if it improves things in the cabin. The jap plastics aren't brilliant but most of them are covered in leather except the dash.
  6. Having removed all the glaze hiding the myriad swirls all over my mica blue paint, I bit the bullet and took her to local a professional - http://www.autoshineblackpool.co.uk - I'm very pleased with the results and obviously can't resist some glamour shots to show her off. And a few reflection shots as well. One last glamour one.
  7. I'm thinking of some Enkeis or Rays but there's not much choice in 17x8J and 5x100 PCD
  8. Thanks G, I'd not really considered going as far as Austria. Cracking photos.
  9. The guy has been sticking things to cars for 20 years, I toook his advice, miraculously they stayed stuck for over 20,000 miles and were as secure they day I sold it as they were the day they went on, 2 years prior. How many google search results do you have for correctly applied sheet of vinyl blows off vehicle?
  10. My bodyshop guy got a colleague to vinyl wrap the window then sikaflex them on to the vinyl, in theory, protecting the quarter window.
  11. I'm gonna float the idea of a summer/autumn road trip with my mates, the basics being 2 weeks travelling, probably going to stick the cars on the train and go to Lyon. From there, drive into Switzerland to do the passes, then Stelvio, then it's on to Italy. Now I know my way around Switzerland and to Stelvio, what I don't know is anything about the lakes of Italy, but I'm betting you guys do. Please suggests specific places or even full routes, towns activities, culture, anything of note. I'm already thinking about trying to also work in Modena, for the super car factories, so no need to cover that. GO!
  12. I spoke to Georgeb the other day He bought Joshes old car the superchargerd hr He said he was keen but I know he's not on here much I'll get him to chime in Any word?
  13. Got mine genuine from Clark Motorsport http://clarkmotorsport.co.uk/website/webshop/productsSearch.asp or PM Ewen on here.
  14. I changed mine because of warm start issues, are you sure the two new fitted ones are free from error?
  15. Don't need to see it, you'll be able to sleep soundly knowing it's there!
  16. Thanks for the excellent feedback, I'm even more sold than I was. Any more before I go back to CAT? Just one drift king out there? Even more keyboard drifters than I thought
  17. I thought it might do a bit better in the TG lap times compared to the reasonable, but not huge differences in times, except Sir Chris https://www.topgear.com/show/lap-times Reckon the rear wheel drive makes it harder or easier if you're unfamiliar with it?
  18. The "more power" Clarkson thing goes hand in hand with it, the MX5 and MR2 also. Sure in a straight line I'd prefer not to have to shift down on the motorway, but hey ho, that's me being lazy. I could have bought an auto barge to save shifting and feel like you're doing 50 when you're doing 100 (see recent XKR thread!). I'm enjoying feeling like 100 when it's 50, like my first car, drove the wheels off it and never made progress. When I don't notice the power is corner to corner, carrying the speed and being in that top 2k rev band. Brrrrrrrrmmmm!!! Just in case though, I've been researching the FI options. Cheaper than I expected. In answer to your question Ashenfox about target audience, I can only say who's buying them from the owners I've met on the web, there's a few track day people who want a comfortable daily too and low consumable bills. Some younger ricers. Toyota anoraks. I bought it for the colour and the superb seats PS I don't think it's a Toyota, I believe Subaru manufacture, developed and tested them all, Toyota lead on design and planning. This is somewhat confused by Toyota owing a 16% share of Subaru
  19. Still available. It's dropped to £70, I just updated the first post.
  20. Agreed JP, I've no time for blue Labour under Blair either.
