  1. Unions are important, as anyone who's ever been through any HR steamrollering will know. Without the representation and support of unions an individual worker has no ability to stand up to the weight of any large organisation. As someone who's been through failed stitch ups by management, the ability to rely on experienced people who actually know the law - not the law according to Company's HR department - and can accompany and advise you in meetings, they are invaluable. I've also used them to get huge discounts on expert accounting advice. I probably could have done the research and learned some of the things a union rep told me, but I can't say the same for everyone who I've ever worked with. People are easily intimidated by lectures on "company policy" dressed up as legalese, they should be able to call on expert support when they need it and feel out of their depth. It's not all national strike action, there's thousands of individuals who get support, but it doesn't suit to cover that in the Mail.
  2. 3. Sorry mate, can't remember the deets. I just followed an online guide pretty much to the letter. Thinking back, the bracket was for upgrading PS3 HDD
  4. I did it, just bought a laptop HDD with the right size (physical dimensions, not storage size) and decent speed, swapped it over. IIRC it needed a bracket (straight off amazon) because the original disk was a different size, but it was ages ago. I followed a YouTube guide, but it was super simple. I'd probably buy an SSD now, as you can get cheap ones and it may save a few seconds on big loads and boot, but it's a luxury, not a requirement.
  5. Something to liven up the stream of adjectives coming out the blue corner, verbs are forbidden, too risky.
  6. I think you've been outed As if Dan didn't already know he was a Tory I think he's Vader at the end of Jedi, he's been so used to evil for so long, but deep down he knows he's always wanted to be Obi Wan Corbynobi
  7. I'm in the back of beyond until Monday PM, no phone signal, just dial up internet - I'll be in touch when I get back to civilisation.
  8. You can always get rid of any release agent quite quickly on a private road, lay down some 11s. Obviously with landowners permission, obey the laws etc.
  9. We'd have one party and I'd be Supreme Allied Commander of The People's Republic of Stutopia. It would be a green and pleasant land, with a 3 day week and leisure pursuits for one and all.
  10. The scorpion I had on the Zed when I bought it was quiet at normal drive, then louder on the gas. Ultimately I found it a little too quiet, so I went Cobra Resonated. The Cobra was a nice step in volume and at bit bassier in normal driving and then beautiful when opening her up. Really a great sound IMO.

  13. I came went from a 1.2 Clio to the Zed. You will not be disappointed by the step up!
  14. Here you go, photo is slightly darker than the naked eye, but still in good shape.
  15. I'll nip out and get a photo shortly.
  16. Couldn't be a more sensible option, the positive impact it'd have on tax revenues and the negative impact it'd have on organised crime would be huge wins. In fact the tax payer recently paid for an independent report into this, which the government chose to completely disregard because drugs are bad a decriminalisation it didn't chime with the "core voter". Lunacy.
  17. Back to costing of policies. I don't really care about this for a few reasons, the first one is they ALL lie about funding their policies, so I'd rather be lied to about NHS worker front line salaries than the return of grammar schools. Secondly, we've got loads of money, this myth that the country is a business and we need to "balance the books" is rubbish, it's not a person's current account. Lastly, whilever there's money slushing around for Trident (£167bn) HS2 (£56bn) and Crossrail (£15bn) then I'm not going to get in a twist about a few billion here and a few there. Personally, I'm not against these investments, improving Victorian infrastructure is a good idea. But when you add those sums together, it is still dwarfed by the fact we found a trillion pounds down the back of the sofa for the banks, so I just don't buy into the position that we don't have money to pay for policies. Especially when you consider how rich we're all going to be after Brexit and FREEDOM
  18. You've gone mad, tax things which smell
  19. I had to chuckle this aft reading about who's prepared to launch a nuclear strike, not just retaliation for another nuclear strike but as a first strike option They may as well be arguing about who's prepared to invade Mars or what preparations we need to make for Dragon invasion. Anything but talk about things that have an outside chance of impacting a genuine human.
