  1. We already have the lowest Corporation tax rates in the G20. If we need to lower them further to attract big business then it shows how much of a shambles Brexit really is. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk It's just a myth, it helps a certain demographic believe that business is doing us a favour by allowing our huge number of consumers to have access to it. It's from the same stable as saying taking benefits off the disabled encourages them to do more or food banks are actually a good thing delivering food for "a variety of complex reasons".
  2. It definitely improves boot shutting, the rest of my evidence is from the butt dyno.
  3. I think is bang on, the dream of healthcare and social care for everyone vs the reality of it being for shareholders.
  4. This afternoon I assembled the bulk of my tooling, ready for a major mod. I then proceed to put on my Captain Brave pants. Drilled into the inner skin of the boot lid. Fitted a dirty great rivet. Did some screwing. After a few minutes hard work, the job was complete. Can you tell what it is yet? That's right!!!! It's a boot lid handle, in red! God only knows why there wasn't one from the factory, probably weight saving But as it's aftermarket goodness, it's good for AT LEAST 15bhp, so you know, that covers off the extra weight. Also, it's over the driven wheels, so extra grip and all that. I also found a random boot magnet, silver, on the right. Why would there be a random boot magnet? Other than to catch the metal shavings from my drilling? Answers on a postcard.

Cool as and much less compensatory than some of the larger offerings Also some sauce.
  7. I've tidied this up, please try and play nice. Or at the very least, ignore one another.
  8. It's a shame that original spirit of competition driving investment in new technology, to be the best, has been lost and replaced exclusively with "maximising shareholder value".
  9. What's caused you to rotate your turret toward Autobrite?
  10. No need to worry about that lads, after Brexit and The Purge, we'll be making money hand over fist and there'll be tax breaks for all!
  11. I dont know how the contracts for these things work but surely with the massive and constant investment in infrastructure needed for all of the utilities you cant just grab it back from them, hence my comment regarding future profits, the costs of compensating the current owners/shareholders/staff would be enormous. Id also chuck out the example of the railways, we havent properly finished nationalising them and are £44Bn in debt despite a £4Bn subsidy a year. The fact we are even considering tipping £50Bn into HS2 that wont show a return for decades says a lot .......... Wars make money as well, at least they do if you have Rolls Royce, GKN and BAe/Airbus somewhere on your shores ....... I wouldn't pretend to know all the sums around the cost of nationalisation, only someone with intimate knowledge of the commercials could tell you that. The franchises are a commercial shambles, little onus on private industry to invest in infrastructure, due to Network rail being the custodian, yet as soon as there's a delay NR are paying compensation to private companies. Yet despite them not being able to make any money, they can still pay dividends? We're also led to believe that due to a few % increase on corporation tax by Komrade Corbyn all businesses will immediately shut up shop and flee the U.K. to trade in other countries instead. This being the case (apparently!) then it should be easy to hoover up all of the businesses that corporations don't want. Obviously it can't be both unattractive to business and also impossible to pry from their fingers! And let's not pretend there's not countries in both Europe and the Americas that don't have high rates of CT yet are still attractive enough for big business to do them the huge favour of trading there!
  12. I think the some of the nationalistion sums add up more than we're meant to believe, not renewing franchises doesn't cost anything and if we can go 10 years or so without doing a war, who knows what money might be saved? That said, if we're not doing a war somewhere, who are we going to be terrified of? I'm more scared of not having to be scared, isn't that the scariest thing?
  13. He's my favourite bit! If only he was more stable. And stronger. I hate a leader who can't lift big objects and falls over going round corners! Also you need one who's at ease with the people, never hidden away. Comfortable during big time debates, like on the One Show. I got a pre-copy of the Tory manifesto (don't tell the press!) - Forgiengers did it and then ran away. - The other stuff was done by the scroungers, leaving the bankers to pick up the pieces. - Taking from the pockets of nearly everyone, but don't worry, not a privileged few. - Let's not go back to the 1970s, when people could afford to buy homes and the NHS worked. - Red, white and blue Brexit. - Also, do you remember when there were no foreigners?
  14. Looks nice that Wouldn't hurt to lose the icence plate plinth too.
  15. Cracking race today, if the two second drivers at Ferrari and Mercedes can get it together there should be some proper scraps up front this season. Agree about that little lad, though it sends the wrong message getting rewarded for girly tears
  16. Is it ok if I post a pic too? Cracking Z, good luck with the sale mate.
  17. This is an interesting read, not quite the impression I got from our Supreme People's Democratic High Priestess May's words. https://thesecretbarrister.com/2017/05/10/myth-busting-the-tory-election-fraud-a-10-point-guide/amp/
  18. Timing belt went on my Clio 10 years ago, the emergency-join-right-now fisting fee was £75 IIRC, on top of the annual fee.
  19. I rarely do them directly to here, good shout.Tried to view yours and it says there isnt any. Using this tool, do you see the exif data on your original file?http://www.verexif.com/en/ver.php It seems if I upload from the Photos app (either on iOS or macOS) to the forum then it strips the geo info. The only way I could find to actually retain geo data was to send the photo from my phone to my Desktop via iCloud drive, then take that photo and upload it. Eliminating Photos app from the upload process. Then if I upload it, via Safari from my Desktop, the image posted on the forum contains geo data in the EXIF. I can specifically set Photos app on macOS to include location data on export, but I have that turned off by default.
  20. Never thought about this before, except for Facebook tagging. I just checked a sample of mine on photobucket and imgur, nothing there. I did upload a new image to them both from my iPhone, with location services enabled. When I re-downloaded them and checked there was no location data in the EXIF, which was a relief and not to say people should be complacent! Top safety tip
