  1. But yellow and gold don't contrast?
  2. Looks mint mate, even hampered with the Toyota badge , cracking wheels.
  3. How easy were they to remove to work on? Also, if you know of a guide, a link would be ace
  4. Agreed, an STI would be perfect but they obsess about the carbon/mpg, the whole bloody engine was built to an eco target, not a performance one.
  5. Why stop at V8, throw a charger in too! http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/1680-smudges-gt86-supercharged-v8-build/#comment-23698 Sadly photobucket has bummed this thread to death.
  6. Yes!!!! I found some cheap film, so it'll be easily reversible. That's just my crap photoshop and Matt's already signed off the work. The purple bits are work in progress, it's the only cosmetic/rice mods I'm doing on the BRZ so I don't want to splurge! You know it makes sense. I absolutely love mine. And for the "there's not enough power" discussion, you can do a drive in/drive out turbo for £4.5k all in for an extra 90bhp. Gving you 30 bhp/tonne more than a stock HR.
  7. It all sits lower than I expected, testament to your meticulous work no doubt. I thought it might interfere with the bonnet.
  8. If it turns out I'm wrong, I'd like to think that only a particularly petty deity would hang me out to dry for not actively worshipping. Surely the whole point is your daily deeds? Try not to be a jerk and do your best to be helpful
  9. Just make sure you pick the right one !
  10. I've had the noise hole bunged up for a month or so now, I knew it was only a matter of time before it went. It also makes room for FI things, perhaps, one day. Next up gang. I quite fancy either painting or wrapping my fogs in yellow, to add a splash of colour to the front. As I was trying it out electronically first and I thought what f I did the DRLs too. Answers below, there are no wrong answers expect leave them as they are.
  11. There's been a couple of bits in the engine bay that have been getting in my way when I'm cleaning, taking up room and generally adding weight. So today I added some lightness, and I strated by removing this thing. Everything still runs fine, so I guess it doesn't do anything. It used to live here. Apparently, it pipes induction noise into the cabin to make me feel more sporty. Well, I'm already sporty enough thank you very much, so that lot went. As you can see it got its intake noise from the errr, intake. I was just going to leave a hole in the intake pipe and just run the car like a boss, but in the end I decided to add even more lightness and some purple Samco silicon too. This is what she looks like with belt cover back in place, you can just see the purple end poking out. This was one of those classic 10 minute jobs which took an hour of sweating and knuckle skinning because it's a aftermarket part that is just a few millimetres not the right size in several different directions. Happy enough in the end and another step towards purple goodness.
  12. The usual catch alls for that type of thing are: (1) it's a test from [insert diety] of your faith (2) the [insert diety] moves in mysterious ways (3) it is the will of [diety]
  13. That's an extremely tidy looking Zed, prettiest colour too. GLWTS
  14. That's probably how some people felt after they decreed that Earth, Wind, Fire and Water were the elements, now there's the periodic table. They probably felt the same when Newton's Laws became established, then Einstein came along. Granted there's higher and lower degrees of certainty, but once you believe in an absolute truth, you've forgone the capacity to take on new evidence. That's dogma. Take the CERN / OPERA experiment where they thought a particle had travelled faster than light. We suspect this yo be impossible thanks to Einstein, but they didnt just say, "we all know that's impossible", they reexamined the evidence and found out someone dropped a nut. If there hadn't been a mistake, that "rule" would have been smashed and a new one formulated.
  15. Exactly. Thats the whole point. Once you say you know something for sure, you stop progressing.
  16. You don't. Once you think you have the "truth" you stop learning.
  17. I wouldn't have said science is truth, it's the current working theory based on repeatedly observed evidence. It always tickles me that people get the hump when science changes its mind, "oh, last week they said smoking was ok, but they've changed their mind" like revising and considering new evidence and reformulating a position is a bad thing. A sign of weakness. Just keep saying things over and over, without any consideration of the evidence - now THAT'S a proper position
  18. Any reason you don't use a shampoo? I mean there's loads of things that do the job, like fairy liquid, but it's not like car shampoo is expensive.
  19. I've always said, if I was going to join one of these cults, Paganism is the way to go.
  20. In the top right corner of any sig you don't fancy is a little X. You can use this to hide that member's sig or just all sigs everywhere.
  21. Not so long ago I would have agreed with you, but a special 4th Of July ICBM test by Kim and Big Don taking that as Kim spilling his pint and laughing at his tiny hands, the odds on September 23rd are getting shorter. The good news is that by having Nuclear weapons in the hands of lunatic despots, that actually makes everyone safer
