  1. The permissions have changed over time. Certain posts may have been influencing factors on removing that ability.
  2. Thanks for the comments Kyle, a good deal of your reasoning is how we had the previous format. Where we’ve got a natural barrier, like the Irish Sea, it makes a lot of sense. It’s not easy to nip over the pond on a whim for a meet. Where you’ve mentioned Facebook, is that with regard to Regional Facebook clubs or the National Single Marque ones? The reason I ask is that I tend to follow club pages on FB, but I don’t go looking for local ones.
  3. No worries mate. There were a couple of permissions issues that I believe are fixed. Historically only The Team could post and reply in there, it’s now possible for everyone to reply, we’ll trial this for a while and see how it goes.
  4. There are only two Admins and sadly our non-digital lives often prevent total coverage, every day, on top of that, we’re both extremely lazy. On a serious note. Should any Member ever be in URGENT need of attention, PM one of the Mods or Admins (ideally one who is online) and they’ll do their best to get it sorted or get an Admin online as soon as possible.
  5. Have a go now please @KyleR and let me know how you get on.
  6. It’s all moan moan moan from you guys! I’ll all have a look.
  7. After all the engineering you’ve done, to be derailed by a bonnet seems incredible. Surely a man with your skills to make seemingly anything can engineer a nice big bonnet bulge? Bonnet scoops are super cool, everyone loves them!
  8. I can't take credit, we got a sensible suggestion from The People, had a think and decided to give it a try. Most of the Facebook type activity is not regionally split so it's a nod towards being down with the kids. Fam.
  9. A small shake-up has gone on within the Meets, Shows & Events section. The regional approach has been suspended for a while due to a very large amount of old and untouched threads across many regions. By bringing the disparate regions together in one place we hope that it will be busier and easier to follow EVERYTHING that's going on. Perhaps you might even see something that is happening a little further afield than you normally look, but fancy the drive over to get involved. Don't panic. Nothing has been deleted, some inactive threads are no longer visible, we can go back to the old Regional approach if we need to. You can find the unified sub-forum here: https://www.350z-uk.com/forum/254-local-meets-across-the-uk/ As a nod to the major benefit of the previous Regional approach, please put somewhere meaningful in the thread title of anything you post up - a town or attraction or local event - so that Members can identify at first glance meets of interest. Feedback is always welcome, I would please ask that we keep the 'change is not good' replies to a bare minimum and give the new layout a fair crack. If you think one of your current posts has been hidden in error, please get in touch by PM with the details and we can bring it back. Likewise if you would want something pinned.
  10. I have browsed the Valentis, the ones pictured above are the only ones I like, other than Toms, but they’re too rich IMHO for just rear lights. I may do these in future, but they don’t bother me enough to do anything in the short term. I don’t suffer from the horrible carbon effect, thankfully, but I would like to Alcantara the dash. I might just pick up the kouki interior trim panels though, rather than get them clad.
  11. The idea that there are “uncomfortable answers” doesn’t apply to scientific disciplines. Only a follower of proscribed dogma, by its very nature of being devoid of evidence based decision making, can find answers uncomfortable.
  12. Stinks that they are using this to crackdown on the very diesels they couldn't advocate strongly enough only a few years ago. I'd be pretty TO'd if I'd snapped one up due to the breaks, only to find the goals being moved retrospectively.
  13. I’ve been 3 times now, only ever driven past the pave. Done the high speed ring, alpine route, handling circuit, mile straight.
  14. Hell of shame, always seemed like a true gent when you saw him interviewed or doing punditry. One of the first voices I heard as a young footy fan, when he did co-commentary on Gazetta.
  15. Being in between house moves has really put the brakes on the mods, I've got a replacement high level brake light (which replaces the monstrosity that blocks most of the view out the back) but it requires access to tools to get it fitted, which is impossible right now. Likewise for some cam solenoid covers. This means I'm restricted to browsing goodies, rather than fitting them. Unless, of course, they are a doddle to fit! Yes it's ricetastic but it's better than the yellow. Next up is probably wheels, Enkei RPF01s or Volk TE37s, obviously in gold/bronze. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
  16. Can’t help on 70 oil but along.
  17. Speaking of their attempts to engage a wider audience, I heard Toto Wolf mention the idea of a breakaway series. This is mainly because Ferrari are having a strop about changing the distribution of prize money, so that non-works teams can at least have a stab at winning. I heard him repeat the oft floated (usually by someone Italian) "Formula 1 needs Ferrari much more than Ferrari needs F1" statement. For me this is rubbish, I watch to see the technical pinnacle of motor racing and don't give two hoots if Ferrari play or not. I'd much rather see Williams or Haas be more competitive than bask in the perceived glory of Ferrari allowing everyone else to play with them. What do you reckon?
  18. That’s gorgeous, great choice, I want one soooooooo much.
  19. I love a clean engine bay. Niiiiiiice!
  20. Looks gorgeous with that diffuser on there.
