  1. I think light smattering of GT might be a happy medium, but I'm going to try some wafters and just see if if prefer the full on comfort experience. The only thing I noticed when browsing the Lexi was they all seem a bit underpowered except for the GS 450H. I'm not trying to go fast, but I wouldn't mind a little shove in a straight line.
  2. The street shootout in Heat, perfect for testing home cinema!
  3. I did find myself perusing the Bentley’s but potential bills had me a bit scared. I didn’t consider the Ghibli, but the same fear still applies. Reckon I’m too scaredy-cat?
  4. I'm doing many more miles than I used to and, much as I love the BRZ on spirited runs, I'm finding that it's a bit noisy (not the exhaust bit), a bit creaky and a bit bouncy on our fabulous roads, when just getting from A to B. I did have my heart set on a Mustang, but I can't really think of a way I'm going to enjoy all that power and keep my licence, obviously the non-V8 isn't an option. 370, 911, Cayman were also considered but the same thing applies and practicality is limited. I had set aside a 30k ish budget for the Mustang, but am increasingly minded that a two car solution is the way forward. A circa £20k waft mobile for daily life and a circa £10k track toy for getting my need for speed lust, without endangering my licence. On my radar for wafting are the: 640d M235i (I know this isn't technically waft, but it's a half way house) Infiniti Q50 3.5H (save the planet!) Jag XF 3.0D V6 S Merc E350 CDI AMG Sport I know diesels kill polar bears and make a crap noise etc. but I hate polar bears and a good noise isn't a particular consideration when looking for something quiet to crunch miles. I like the idea of the Infiniti, mainly because you don't see many and it's got loads of toys as standard. The Mercs are on there as a token gesture. The Jag is on to stop me getting beaten up by angry Brexiteers (this is a joke before anyone wets themselves). Naturally I intend to drive all of them before spending any money, but I've not driven any yet. Anyone driven any? Anyone got any other contenders? Have I gone bonkers?
  5. 14N has already taken care of it, good shout though
  6. When did a fish tank become an inverted pond? The world’s gone mad!!!

  8. I haven’t seen one yet that doesn’t simply trick the ECU into believing the loud pedal is in a different position to where your foot is.
  9. You’re old enough to know better!!! FWIW, so long as it stays on topic and off the B word, be my guest.
  10. Right, after a number of people on both sides of the argument (before the #fakenews #censorship conspiracy theorists get upset) raising issues with the Team about posts in here, we’ll all have a short break and perhaps reconvene in a day or two.
  11. Now Maggz has got to get out? Even though you’ve already got out a few pages ago? But then undemocratically got back in? Make up your mind if you want to be part of this discussion thread. If you do, that’s great, but this thinly veiled followed up with a stops right here.
  12. Have you lot seen the news today? Undemocracy wasn’t a thing until quite recently and now you can’t move for undemocracy! They’re only going to have a second vote on who’s going to be leader of the Conservative party, under the flimsiest of pretences. Turns out they just don’t like the vote they did a couple of years ago, simply because things haven’t transpired as promised. #itsadisgrace
  13. I spoke ages ago, way back on page 8 of this thread, about my main stream media views and enquired about your “reliable source for truth” (your words, not mine) that you claim to be tapped into, all you did was ignore it. Don’t forget to collect your toys on the way out.
  14. Isn't that what we do every time there's a general election, or is that undemocratic too? Not one post in this whole thread is advocating how good this deal actually is, in any quantifiable way! Doesn't that say something? And let's face it, if your argument against a vote is not based on the deal being so good, but on an incorrect technicality that "it's just not democracy", it illustrates beautifully how pitifully weak the deal is. And still no one knows why voting once is democracy, but more than once isn't.
  15. We're way short on entries, get in touch please gang.
  16. Not one line of that explains why voting twice is undemocracy.
  17. Why is voting once is democratic and more than once undemocratic?
  18. George, there’s absolutely no coherent economic argument that can possibly convince anyone who has even the most fundamental grasp of trading, that there are genuine trade benefits to leaving one of the world’s biggest free trade areas and surrendering the group negotiating power we have as a member. There just isn’t any, you may as well stop looking. This leave us with the only vaguely coherent argument for this Brexit deal. I don’t want foreigners. Despite them making demonstrably positive economic impacts, such as funding more school places than they take, or contributing more to NHS budgets than they cost, or being of the perfect working age to pay for the increasing costs of an aging population. The global financial crisis and the resultant years of austerity have been shamelessly blamed on migration and refugees, when anyone with a functioning memory knows bankers did it. We know this because we gave them billions and billions to bail them out, unlike the migrants, who pay in millions and millions. We even saw them on the telly taking the money. People can rightly say that there were lots of other reasons for voting leave, which is definitely true, some of them are very reasonable, but if the referendum had asked; - Remain? - Leave? - Ban Migration? There'd still be 48% next to Remain, but there wouldn’t be 52% beside Leave.
  19. I’ve never understood why farmers don’t have an OPEC for milk, like the milk marketing board, forcing sensible prices for farmers Opaque banking systems protected by strong privacy, you want to hide/launder money, do it through Switzerland and they live off the banking fees. I think this is likely to end up being the only way of the U.K. making anything “positive” out of Brexit. We can be a giant Cayman Islands. The only down side is the sort of people you're supporting by doing business via numbered accounts, but I think we’ve long since stopped giving a monkeys about ethics.
  20. Bit of time yet, early Jan hard stop, if I was more organised I’d have an actual date. But I’m not.
  21. Approved, but @Beb please add an asking price. Unless I’ve missed it. Also I’ve removed your phone number as it’s a public forum. You can reinstate it if you wish.
