As I've got know the inside of my Zed, it's become apparent that the dash cup holder in my 2004 is rubbish. Not sure what kind of cup/bottle it is supposed to hold well, but I've yet to find one. This has got me wondering if anyone has done anything more useful with theirs?

You work this stuff in with a microfibre, or just splash it all over like a bit of Brut?

I'm getting a bit excited about this one from across the pond, http://www.crowderscustomizing.com/ISOTTA-482-CX-p/isotta_482-cx.htm Having read the guides on here and other sites it seems most handles require some modification with a dremel to get a good fit, however, all of those have round bottom holes. The description on the one above states it is triangular with dimension 31mm high, the bottom third 23mm wide and top 29mm wide (sound more like a trapezoid than a triangle to me). I can't tell from the below nude photo (borrowed from other thread) if that will squeeze on. Anyone who's actually down this have any idea if I could mod this to fit?

On my first drive in the zed I was playing with this, to figure out what it did. When it cycled down to the minimum value the red light flashed like crazy on the dash and I fully bricked it! Thought I'd bust the zed after 5 minutes!

It s near standard, but I'm working on that! Just having some of the niggles resolved to bring her up to a decent standard before doing anything too interesting. I've gone right off the blue, but warmed up to the anthracite. I'll keep on looking, there's no rush.

Ola gringo. I bought (what now appears to be the Megs Noob kit!) almost identical to yours as my first ever selection of "proper" cleaning products, just last month. I had a brief crack a couple of weeks ago for my first wash up and got a fine result. I'm doing my first clay this weekend hopefully, as I have had some panels resprayed and she's now ready for a proper go. I'm in no position to give advice, very much a learner, but for what it's worth I wouldn't panic over what you've got, it was all easy to use and I didn't have any problems and it looked good. If these guys are saying have a bash, when it runs out, try a new one, repeat as needed - I'd run with it. Everyone likes something different, and I imagine its a little subjective (within limits). Not sure if there is any Waxybox action left (try searching it) but I'm hoping it will introduce me to a load of new and weird products I never would have considered, all at a bargain price! Whatever we use at first, we must surely be WAY ahead of going down the disused petrol station and getting the £5 hand job special from a surly chap with a limp and double denim! Anyone dis-agree?

Thanks. I just lucked out, couldn't get a recommendation off anyone but once I emailed bodytech and got an helpful and prompt response, it seemed like a good place to go. When I save up the pennies for the pock marked bumper I'll probably be back again. Almost seems pointless to do the bumper cos it'll be stone chipped again in days, and I refuse to wear a bra!

Had such a good service from Bodytech Blackpool repairing some corrosion on panels see here: http://www.350z-uk.c...espray-debadge/ that when they cooly mentioned the unsightly bulges on my Rays, I decided to get them refurbed. I had planned to do this anyway and I was on verge of trekking to Manchester for the job, but I'd quite like to send repeat business to Bodytech as they treated me very well. So that was the easy bit. Now the hard bit. As mentioned my Zed is GM and I need to decide on a colour, the rude boy inside me is loving these cobalts. but the James Bond in me is loving these anthracites Opinions appreciated on either/both, and doubly so if you suggest a colour I hadn't considered which comes with a photo! As always, thanks for any comments. Oh and they finish in paint, not powdercoat, if anyone was wondering or indeed wants to comment on that choice or suggest a finish. PS - do they do any old skool whitewall tyres that fit the zed? That'd be well Untouchables.

Just wanted to say I had quality service from Bodytech, Blackpool this week. http://www.bodytechb...co.uk/index.php Not pleased with these dirty swine on the roof and one similar on the passenger door (not pictured). In the shop for a few days to have them removed and the two panels resprayed, which left me with this roof. All gone. Very pleased. Whilst she was in, they also kindly removed these offending items. Nothing against Nismo, but my Zed has no Nismo, so it hasn't earned the badge. However, it has earned black burgers (100% horse free), which they kindly lacquered first for free. "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" The eagle eyed amongst you will notice I now have a stubby on did this job totally myself - pretty pleased with the result. Guide to follow. Now I can clean the filthy beggar properly at the weekend. PS - I now have some left over bits. 1x OEM aerial (slight scuff on shaft) 2x OEM Nissan burgers (one in great condition, one with a couple of flecks of black paint missing off the lettering). The other badges mysteriously disappeared, probably somewhere on e-bay tonight. Free to a good home. PPS - Whilst in Bodytech I casually mentioned the job of removing the handbrake to fit my nice red leather gaiter and a new handle was a bit intimidating. Steve at Bodytech said he'd find a scrappy handbrake and we could do some experiments on that first to get it right, before having a go at the real thing. I love little bits of super service like that, it doesn't make me feel bad when I hand over the cash.

I'll have forgotten by then and it'll be an amazeballz mysterious treat when it comes!

I know this an old thread, but I'm a noob so I hope you don't mind me chucking in my two cents to give a slightly different spin on things. Although I'm a partial IT geek and work in IT, I never joined a web forum before. I used them to find IT fixes via google, got the fix I needed, left, never went back, never joined. I'd read so many comments and replies of "shut up noob you idiot", "why don't you know this already?", etc etc. So when I decided to join I expected the same here (I suspect IT geek forums are a little less tolerant of people asking daft/repeat questions than the Zed community here, IMHO). I couldn't have been more wrong in my preconceptions, the patience (as well as nudges toward the search) by members made me feel more confident about using the site, which is how I got familiar with the nuances of the Search and the Site Map. I've learnt so much because people were nice to me on Day 1 when I signed up and asked about buying a Zed. If I had been required to post 5 times to ask my first question I would have either posted 5 spams (no use to anyone) or simply gone elsewhere. I personally was a bit intimidated making my first posts particularly on threads which have been started by way more experienced and knowledgable people than me. I truly believe the great response I got on here directly impacted my decision to buy a Zed, I was so close to getting a RX-8 instead, and now so glad I didn't! I have learnt by reading this site, it's whetted my appetite for more and more info. I now have a shed full of detailing products I had never head of on New Year's Day. I found out a non-mechanic could go in and change a gear knob or gaiter and give my car a little bit of personal touch over the OEM stuff. I've learnt to tell my insurance company about non-standard add ons. That you can use something called plastidip to repair scratched trim. This weekend I am getting a dremel and attacking the front speaker grills to open up their sound. This place allowed me to ask questions I would have felt stupid doing in a car dealership or garage, and get responses from someone I know doesn't have an agenda and from people who might have posted 2000 times (so you know they have real experience). Anyway, banged on enough now, sorry to go on - just wanted to give the forum and members some love and show that giving a noob an easy(ish) ride to begin with is a bit special on the internet nowadays and makes all the difference. PS - the search is better than the one on my work intranet, and we have over 100,000 PCs and a mutlibillion budget.
