  1. When I win the lottery ill be bringing my limitless budget to you! I'm still reading your Zed build thread, after your suggestion, fantastic. It's basically a guide on building a Zed.
  2. Finally got the crystal rear lower clusters done.
  3. This photo is absolutely sensational, kudos.
  4. I suspect the culprits are gulls, so they've got some kind of tree hugging hippy crap protection granted by the man. It's not like the fat f*****s are endangered around here, gorging on 2 metric tonnes of Blackpool's finest kebabs and gutters full of chunder on the streets each weekend. If it was a tiger s**t I'd probably just say fair enough, they're endangered like, but gulls make a right racket and dirty protest on my Zed. I saw one sitting on her recently, good only knows what it's stupid feet do to the paint. Maybe some dry rice or a can of smash "accidentally" spilt on the floor might work. There was a story in the local rag about a bloke who chased after some gulls for pulling apart his bin bags. A few days later one went for him when he was out and about in town. It happened again a while after and he reckons it's the same one, a sort of ASBO avian, he's started wearing a hat when he goes out now, not sure if it's protection or a disguise.
  5. I did a full day interview at B&D as a youth. DeWalt was just a brand they dreamed up for their professional gear to disassociate from the DIY stuff they also did - least that what they told us. I saw Makita but never heard of them, assumed it was the Sanyo of the tools world, thanks for the tip.
  6. Marzman posted this on a thread where I'd asked similar question. Not got one myself yet. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=151020836809
  7. Yeah, my bad, I didn't see it. However, TBF, I was mainly after a tip on a decent cordless drill to start with but I thought I'd tag on the tools bit too. Think I'm going DeWalt on the drill but open to suggestions.
  8. Socket extension thing (I'm not technical if you can't tell), needed one to get the passenger door card out. I haven't got one but a few guides I read mention torque wrenches.
  9. Never given that much thought TBH, thanks for the tip.. Only had time for a quick pressure wash at garage near work. I might build a motion activated scarecrow for the drive.
  10. The thing is, there's no choice about parking at work, but it never happens there, only at night when there are no trees for about a mile!
  11. So I got up for work this morning to be confronted by this lot? How much @*!# can a bird physically do? Or is it one of those anti-social gangs the Daily Mail drones on about? Any more and I'll have to reach for old painless. All good now after a lunch break quickie.
  12. Is the plate holder removal a simple screws out, remove, screw back or am I being too optimistic?

One of these little guys? Or have I got it wrong?
  15. With Zeditis taking it's toll I am after a mew bits and pieces for various jobs. I have a basic socket set, screwdrivers, jeweller's 'drivers, trim removal tools, a ryobi (dremel knock off) and I need a decent (hopefully cordless drill), any suggestions before I get ordering and also any other bits you've found indispensable when working in the Zed? I mainly used them to break electronic goodies so far, so might need to macho up my tools for car work. Hopefully fill up my Burberry wash bag when I need to modify (see below for explanation). Ta

  17. Nice work, love the blue. I may have to wrap mine some sort of exotics blue, they just look so fit, What did you use on the headlamps? They look great, mine are a bit dull in comparison?
  18. Did this work? Please say yes! Probably a dumbass question but I'll ask anyway. Door open or closed for the procedure?
  19. Those 5 spokes (sorry, no idea what manufacturer/model) look well stealth.
  20. a bit deeper and wider too, defo above sills.
  21. As a noob I'm a late comer to this thread, been reading for about 40 minutes now to catch up, absolutely blown away by the skills and dedication on show. I'm fully hooked on this build. I'd love to one day be able to do even a quarter of this work. Very impressive.
  22. Weird, mine did this once in the test drive, never seen it since. I put it down to my heavily jacketed elbow tapping the hazard light switch, as I leave my arm round there sometimes.
  23. Excellent. Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks fellas. Looks like I'll be doing this (finding a mechanic) job anyway!
  24. So, after I found out the previous owner already had installed a cosworth panel filter, just as I was decided it was a good idea, my attention turned to plenum spacers. Read some bits and bobs on here, sounded good, opened up the bonnet to have butchers (only the second time since I bought her ) and what's this winking at me? I'm sure it wasn't there when I looked before. I think there's a Modman going around at night doing bits and pieces on my car... Any one tell me what actual spacer it is? (for all I know about engine mods, this could be a turbo charger) I have stock strut bar above it if that helps in identification at all. Please tell me it's the best one money can buy and gives you 100bhp+. I really don't want to hear anything with "cheap" "catastrophic failure" or "fire", unless you really must. Thanks!
