  1. Only seen it with Barclays, but worth an ask. I found it really tricky to find one of my photos I liked enough and would fit on somehow. The colour looked weird with the massive blue Barclays bit that you can't change, if they'd just let you make it plain white text, it'd be better. That's why I went black and white, otherwise all my photos looked weird!
  2. Aren't you curious to ask where they think you should be parking? I'd NEED to know which space they consider is appropriate for parking, and their selection criteria.
  3. Anyone got anything exotic in the boot interior light? A funky colour or something?
  4. Surely we all have? Comparison sites get quotes from 100's of underwriters, surely some say no. My mate's an insurance broker, he said exactly the same as this. Also, when I worked in finance we kept records up to 7 years, nothing like 20.
  5. Whatever you do, when you call sky, tell them virgin have offered you a ridiculous deal to stay and see if they'll do anything more for you. Even if they say no, nothing lost. I'm paying £80 a month for a couple of HD boxes and the full package. It's only really worth it for a decent sky premiere every now and then, the footie and sky Atlantic - but I'd never leave!
  6. My old card was starting to fall to bits, so I went to re-order and gave the new personalised card a go. You'll never guess what I got put on it..... It's a bit blurry where I've quickly hidden the good stuff! So much better than boring old blue! Shame about the the chip getting in the way.
  7. I had a huge battery drain day 1, no problem today, but it is beta after all. I've narrowed it down to either Music being on all day, The Guardian, or playing candycrush on the head. If you want out, just put it into Recovery mode, plug into iTunes, restore to factory, restore to the backup you took before you upgraded to 7. Recovery mode instructions here: http://osxdaily.com/2011/01/08/iphone-recovery-mode/ I've done this as I forgot to register my phone as a developer device, before install! It works
  8. Do it! Get some of those wicked chrome badges... ... for your walking stick
  9. Gimme a chance! Nothing compares to The Mavis.
  10. Slightly off topic but.... Kirk v Kirk got me thinking about how I always wanted to be able to do a great Kirk impression, which got me thinking who does a good kirk? Obviously Kevin Pollack. But then that got me thinking, I've not seen Pollack's Walken for a while.... Probably my all time favourite impression.
  11. It's cool. The new guy's pretty good, but proper Spock steals the show. I couldn't help but feel a little Shatner cameo at the end wouldn't have hurt! Good find.
  12. I wasn't a big fan of two tone before, but... I think this has turned me round. Very nice job. Looks mint mate, you must be well pleased.
  13. Welcome. Very nice motor too. Second fastest colour I believe ;-)
  14. Had to rely on 3G for a couple of weeks when away, certainly put it in perspective My internet used to be great. With BE/o2. But now at peak times it slows down and you can't do everything you want to do. Terrible when porn buffers and it sticks on the fellas face I hear you, I remember as a youth trying to pause VHS on Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, then you end up with shaky image of Dirty Doug or the fat guy from Jurassic Park licking his lips and sweating.
  15. After a restart I'm back to normal. Must be a specific app, I'll find it.
  16. With all apps closed via task manager, in airplane mode, (effectively idle) my activity monitor reports 50-60% CPU usage!
  17. Installed that just now, good tip, ta. Except install churned about 8%. Fortunately I have a V6 generator on standby to charge her up! I've been playing tunes all day and that seems to really cane it, now 24%. Switched to iPad for musical support.
  18. 43%, but it's been heavy usage, everyone wants a demo! I've shut down a few things now. Battery life always takes a pounding in beta!
  19. Sorry. Beta testing (or simply beta) is a lateish test phase of a new software release, before it goes out to the wider wold. Companies like apple release software in a version beta so that people like developers can get their applications (apps) ready for when the new software properly goes live. Also so people can find and report bugs before commercial release. Generally a beta version is a little bit unstable compared to a full release, so you often find it misbehaves, crashes, or is a bit grumpy - but so far I've found it quite stable personally.
  20. No, it's in beta, which you can pick up if you have a developer account and also via some other ways...
  21. Good effort, he'll still have a belter in 8.5 days. He'll probably be on the phone for cash in 4 days (I would!) you've saved yourself a few quid long term. ;-)
  22. Quite like it, bit freaky but sure I'll come round. Anyone else a heavy user of reminders? It seems to flip out frequently. (I know it's beta!) Enjoying the back and forward swipes for safari, it's like being back on my mac.
