  1. If you don't sort with Daryl, I think I've got some lying around. Didn't really inspect them when they came off. I'll have a look later and send pics if they're decent and you are still in need.
  2. Have a gander at ccleaner if you haven't already got it. It's free. Do a quick registry check and fix any errors. Also use it to check what loads at startup and kill any unnecessary items. Whilst you're at it you may as well run the cleaner too. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner Depending on your confidence levels, just leave it on default settings or if you know what you're up to have a tinker with them.
  3. The avatar is my other Zed, from Gran Turismo. I'd be less keen on getting that kind of air in my GM!
  4. Nice job. Looks mint. I'm getting too old (32) for applying stages by hand; how accessible is DA rotary for a beginner? I don't want to go making a mess of my reasonable paint.
  5. Stay cool, by the end she won't want to come home! I went away to school as a kid when my parents were getting divorced, and had many similar calls at first. It was tough to begin with on both ends (I only found out about parental guilt many years later, probably shouldn't have played on it so much looking back) I was only young and in a foreign country with a strange language (Scotland) but once you get over it, it's just hanging out with your mates all the time. Everyone loves that. Stay strong and she'll be all good at the end of it, if she's not begging to come home then it can't be all bad there. I'm not a parent (I've seen kids on TV though) but I appreciate it must be tough for you.
  6. Right. The appradio allegedly works. When I bought mine it supported iPhone 4, I had iPhone 5. It streamed music and calls via Bluetooth and via a USB cable no problem from iPhone 5, but app radio (including playing media like videos) had none of it - not even from my 32-pin iPad. I believe a new version of firmware now supports iPhone 5 and a lightning cable, however, make sure you read up and get the kit if you have iPhone 5. It needs not only a cable from Pioneer but also the av cable from apple to make it all happen. For me, I can't be arsed to buy kit, take it out and upgrade firmware - all for the novelty of streaming video and a few apps. The HU touchscreen is ok, but not even close to iPhone, so if I want to use apps in the car (very rarely) I just grab my phone and save 10 minutes messing about! In short, make sure your phone works with your firmware and cables, if you upgrade firmware, do it before you install. The USB is round the back, which looks nice but isn't easy to reach. For some rubbish reason you can't upgrade firmware from a cd or dvd. Have a look here http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/support/software/tax/946/page.html and here http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/38/301/CD-IV202AV/page.html Good luck with it!
  7. you got a pic of yours fitted? i should be getting this HU this month Here you go bud
  8. I have this HU, I popped a DVD in to test it after the install, not used it for moving images since. If the video aspect is what you're after I'd recommend watching something on it before spending your cash, the quality is fine for a display, but I'm not tempted to start taking popcorn with me in the car in case there's traffic.
  9. I know what you mean but I think the headlamps are something ridiculous in price so you'll need yet another set of nuts to go baking with! Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
  10. Don't do what I did and go for a silver reverse bulb, it looks beeter by day but discharges a weak, pinkish light. Not good when you want a fog to shine a bright red light!
  11. Glad you like them. I bought mine off ebay in america, not this particular link, but I think they may well be the same. These look less expensive than I think I paid, but same product I reckon. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item58a3989ea3 Alternatively, you can crank up the oven (if you've got the minerals to cook your clusters). I didn't. http://www.350z-uk.c...-oem-fog-light/
  12. Well you've certainly given me some reading to do gang, thanks for the suggestions. The MR2 & MX5 are extremely intriguing, as are Starlet & Pulsar. The Mini is an interesting shout H5, especially with Keyser's blueprint being just a few clicks away, classic got me thinking - I've occasionally thought there might be a bargain dry state Mustang out there somewhere with my name on it...
  13. Think the problem is i never zoomed in enough... You can fix that with some strategic cropping. Assuming the original image resolution will stand up to it.
  14. I'd sooner spend a grand and have a "development" budget, 3k would have to be something a bit spesh. What if was to throw in a curve ball here? 4 seats just in case two isn't enough one day...
  15. Well you wouldn't want to be seen with either of them, but if it was in the dark, I bet they'd both feel decent, once you got inside.
  16. Can't believe how little you can pick them up for, especially MR2s. I used to love them as a kid. Anyone owned a Celica GT4, another car I had thing for a while back.
  17. They're much sportier than I was thinking, thanks fellas, I'll go looking....
  18. To think they believe us men are swayed by such primitive instincts into spending our money. We're better than that, we're not animals. Er, anyone need a Yamaha XT350 white plastic mud guard flap? I have one on order I don't need...
  19. When I got the Zed and saw all the cool mods members do, I had big ideas for getting a bit greasy. A combination of her being my daily driver and me being too scared to break the car I've come to love, I've only done little bits 'n' pieces. The stuff I'd like to learn is going to require a sandbox car, something that can sit around when I have no budget, with zero pressure to finish it. I'm hoping for some suggestions for something cheap to buy, but most importantly, relatively easy to get to grips with for a learner. I think an old beetle might be a good starting point but I'd really appreciate suggestions from people who actually know their shizzle, over my guesswork... Thanks anyone who has any ideas along the lines of; upto 3k to buy (cheaper is better), easy to work on, cheapish parts, not massive in size, I'm not a brand snob, could be anything at all with 4 wheels and an owner community as good as this one
  20. Came from a not so hot stock 1.2 Clio (with a few years break in between), the Zed test drive was probably the most scared I'd ever been behind the wheel. I'm still learning the limits after 6 months and an early fright on a wet roundabout, but I do have form with RWD, used to go karting a lot as a kid
  21. I'd love to be stalked by a cougar. I'm thinking Sharon Stone or Jennifer Aniston...
  22. Next time my contract runs out...
  23. Awesome first car, I had "access" to a Renault 5 at that age, didn't even own it. Built in straight lines, it was like an isometric projection.
  24. Cool as. What kind of job? Test driver Nismo? How did you find it?
