  1. I had a hybrid in my windows 7 laptop and once it "learns" your common taks it does provide a nice boost on big jobs like boot a launching iTunes for instance. Think it was a seagate momentus, performed well. When I sold my laptop, I popped it in my PS3, but with less noticeable gains there where the Blu-Ray drive seems to be the bottle neck. I'm tempted to go full SSD in PS3 for GT6, as the load screens should fly by (providing you've done a full game install). On my iMac I went for a Vertex 3 512GB and it is ridiculously fast, boots in seconds, all applications (even the big ones) pop up in the blink of an eye. Even with the512GB I still have 2TB for media storage and time machine. Can't ever imagine going back to spindle now, it makes even old hardware feel like new!
  2. She's a beauty, I'm sure someone will snap up. GLWTS.
  3. Driver side kicks in with AC on. Passenger when coolant reaches certain temp. 91 IIRC.
  4. GTA V and Pro Evo on PS3. FM2013 on iMac. All I ever play.
  5. Nice Zed and love those glamour shots
  6. Not finished yet, waiting for a centre piece, got to sort out the LED lighting, oh and remake the hood because I stuffed up the first one Sent from the golf club... I told you not to nail it to the tank! Not finished but getting there That's well Hefner, cool as
  7. All these track mx-5s popping. What kinda money we talking fellas? As per liking the standard multipla. I don't even know what to say to that Car looks cool. Any particular reason for preferring that over your MX-5? Or just fancy a change?
  8. Fiat Multipla? Tastefully modded naturally.
  9. Yeah, I'm addicted to the surprises inside and trying new stuff
  10. Try a decent wax instead. I love the finish that both White Diamond and Black Hole give, but being a glaze if there's not a wax or sealant over it, it'll just wash off instantly. The WB waxes aren't great but they do a job protecting what's underneath, which I found out of late with longer times between cleans due to weather. I've tried a couple of others, without getting wood. When the dry returns I'll keep trying to find 'the one'. The liquid Nattys Blue is decent.
  11. There a boot load of stuff here that I found invaluable, lots of different points of view. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/2663-a-simple-guide-to-car-detailing/
  12. Waxes haven't really got me excited so far either, been using the Waxybox ones as they're sitting about in the shed. I find a quality quick detailer gives the best bang for effort. Always picks it up nicely after a polish, goes on fast and helps with the aforementioned bead. As above, interested to know what you used. I know it's not a wax but in terms of eye popping difference, I'm in love with a bottle of Poorboys White Diamond at the minute, that stuff really livens up my paint.
  13. Yeah, she just popped me on hold and went to ask, can't say fairer than that for "mainstream", I can live with their hold music. Just.
  14. The Zed is the first car I have personally owned for a few years, so in Feb when I bought her I expected a fair whack. No NCB and no experience of powerful RWDs. They smashed everyone else's price and stuck me on their 10 month accelerator plan (1 year NCB after 10 months, but ties you in as no one else counts this as a full year NCB obvs). Over the year I've kept them up-to-date on mods and they charged me, but not ripped me off. Renewal time just arrived and they gave me a decent, but unspectacular reduction. I rang around a few insurers from here, though extremely helpful, only one could beat my renewal. I called elephant up to discuss and they not only matched my new quote (loyalty discount they call it), but also didn't take a penny for my Berk's or when I explained to them the previous owner had done UpRev, which I'd recently discovered. I'm a bit para about insurance, so always keep on the straight and narrow with them. I know this is how businesses should treat "valued" customers, but this is in stark contrast to some other "big name" insurers from my past who haven't given a monkeys when I've said I'm off to a new provider. Decent customer service on the blower as well, even if words like UpRev and High Flow Cats do cause some confusion
  15. Another Hong Kong special for me, with no duty to pay.
  16. A fine service from Ewen on a few bits since Zman took up golf and moved to Marbella I'll no doubt be back for more in future.
  17. Classic. The working man's sports car. Love the Capri, it reeks of Mustang.
  18. Have a quick scan of the manual for a video in feed and cam signal too.
  19. I've been doing a few 250 mile runs from the frozen north down to Birmingham and sadly working weekends too, so dirty road filth all over her and no weekend to do usual clean, she was so filthy I started feeling guilty :shame: But I had Saturday off last weekend so gave her a TBW, was very pleased to see that the two monthly mega detail I'd done previously had remained in tact underneath all the filthy build up It was the first time I'd used the Poorboys White Diamond and finished it off with one of the Waxybox waxes I had lying around and the usual Angelwax QED. Really impressed that it had stood up so well underneath, so much so after the TBW I just topped up with more QED. Can't see me changing from these products now, except flirting with Waxybox samples.
  20. Is anyone else more worried about some tit (probably in one of those 4x4s where breaking distance is not impacted by wintertime conditions ) slamming in to them, rather than they're own driving style/winter tyre performance?
  21. Could only make it for a few hours last summer, but looking forward to doing a proper job of attending next year
  22. Wish I did, I keep looking a my cubby and thinking a Nexus job SHOULD be easy enough, but I'm not skilled either. Might still give it a go though. Do a quick search, I'm sure there are a few around on here. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77413-ads-tablet-install/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/63781-nissan-350z-custom-ipad-install/
