Good selection to go at there. Cheers!

The single seater tickles my fancy from my karting days, but I think my mates will be more supercar. Might have to do that one if I can't talk them into it
-
A bunch of mates and I are considering a supercar double or similar driving experience, wondered if anyone had any recommendations, preferably Northern but open to suggestion? I've also noticed single seater and Rally style ones too which could be interesting... Also, do you reckon we could rustle a group discount for a few of us booking at once? PS - This one caught my eye, not so much car action but includes axe throwing skills. What's not to like? http://www.trackdays.co.uk/military_experience/combat_training/spy_games_experience/2731/ Ta.

Check the item before you order caddy, my ocz came with a bracket for 3.5"

I rate my vertex ocz 3, there's probably a version 4 release by now. Go for brands IMHO or have a quick look on a website like PC Pro at their listings/reviews http://www.pcpro.co.uk/features/380449/best-ssds-of-2013 http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/ssds http://www.pcpro.co.uk/alist/solid-state-disk Always check the dates on any review, 6 months is a long time in IT!

Where does it lead to Sent from the golf club... Deeper into Zeditis. Thanks for the +ve comments gang Anyone doing a GB on ARB kits? I think that might be my last stop on the Zeditis road to recovery, before I'm cured. Well that and my other idea

recommendations for dashkit and bose harness?
Stutopia replied to Garyt350z's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
When you pick your headunit check out http://incartec.co.uk/Manufacturer/Model/Brand/Device/Radio/Browser.aspx It should let you know fascia and harness details. -
I found out my ECU had been worked on recently, from before I bought it second hand, I advised the insurer and they've not changed my premium as they don't know the previous owner's motivation or results.
-
When you do the change, when my coolant was changed it took a few miles drive to work the air locks out. I just had to keep an eye on the overflow tank for a few days and top it up once.

That's a beautiful Zed - how could resist posting these pics for so long!
-
As per above when I enquired with Elephant they use 10% as the first stage of BHP gains, IIRC they quoted something like £80 increase in premium. That will no doubt include an admin fee so best to get all your mods declared in a batch if you can. Obviously I'm not advocating you wait to tell them until you've done everything

Curious to what people do as a job in relation to having a zed

No in yours Nightmares... I'm a change manager / consultant trying to help companies develop & progress without breaking their IT environments. Sometimes feel a bit like that chap in Tiananmen Square. Like I'm stood in front of a column of projects and programmes saying "But have you tested this, where's the evidence, what about the risk, how much is it going to cost, what if it goes wrong, why is it so urgent ......it's not your infrastructure, it belongs to the company, stop trying to break it..." etc. Nothing of any real value though, like a nurse, teacher etc Jesus, sounds just like one of my days. Trying to hold back the tide of brilliant ideas from people "who know about IT" but can't use excel. I love excel! I organise my work so that I can have whole days only on excel A lot of what I do involves Excel, DBA & code.... currently working on a 700 store multi product, multi drop delivery schedule for 1.8m items a week, 250 motive units and over 300 drivers..... The spreadsheet is around 1,400,000 cells and counting I just got an excel chubby. Excel is the @*!#, I love it. I refuse to use all other office suite products. Best thing Microsoft have ever touched, by miles . -
You need to think bigger, if you avoid millions (see http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2010/nov/14/vodafone-tax-evasion-revenue-customs), they leave you alone. Getting 200 quid here off a plumber and 500 quid there off a sparky, means they're really clamping down on the real problem and saving John Q Taxpayer literally hundreds a year, nearly as much as they cost to us to do the clamping down. It's totally nothing to do with the sparky and plumber having gone to normal school and heads of big international brands having gone for lunch with the power men. If you haven't the bottle to go after the big kids, what do you do? Pick on the kids who's legal team doesn't cost the GDP of a Latin American country. You can't blame MegaCorp International for following the laws of the country they operate in, if only the law makers could get some advice on how to tighten up the rules.... http://www.theguardian.com/business/2013/apr/26/accountancy-firms-knowledge-treasury-avoid-tax

I have hertz hsk 165 components in the front and hertz hcx 165 coaxials in the back, with a modest 10" clarion sub in the box behind the driver seat. It's all driven by a Hertz HDP5 amp. It's a five channel amp so negates the need for a dedicated sub amp, the upshot is it fits over the rear amp mount nicely and is hidden, consuming very little space, however, my fillings don't rattle when I turn it up but I get nice precise bass which I can use to make the rear plastics resonate if I want! If you want big bass (which it appears you don't) it's probably not the best, a dedicated sub amp would definitely help, as would a bigger sub with a proper ported enclosure. All in all I am very happy, I go more for precision than volume but it goes loud when I want. Things to bear in mind; you may need to throw the fader forward to stop the rears (inches from your head) drowning out the front, also with the low/mid end comps in the front (down by your feet) but tweeters under your nose it can make it feel a bit brash up front if you don't get the equalizer balanced up. It took me a few weeks of gentle tweaking the high and low pass filters, fade, sub level and equalizer to get there, but I did eventually. I still move the fade around daily, depending on what music I listen to and have a couple of preset equalizer settings I can toggle. A decent headunit is a must if you don't have one already as it will take tinkering. Also think about dynamat to try and kill pesky, unwanted vibrations in anything remotely close to the speakers. The Zed, IMHO, is a poorly designed space for audio and cabin noise does try and invade - but it does make it's own music for you when you press the loud pedal! Good luck finding the right mix, it's out there, just be patient.
