If you're impatient, like me, and can't wait that long, you can bypass the whole process by handing over some of your hard earned money. The club logos are as per below images. If you qualify for a free one, or would like to purchase, please drop me a PM with the following details: 350z or 370z white or black logo interior or exterior of the intended surface Stickers are £4 each, shipped. If you are buying, please PM me after you have made payment https://www.paypal.me/350zuk and let know which options you would like and your delivery address. If you get it all correct in one PM, your sticker gets to you faster
  2. I love little touches like this. Nice.
  3. Mark, you've mentioned twice now that you're not happy that you have no right of reply on closed Facebook groups. Much as I personally would love to be the person who decides what is and isn't appropriate for Facebook, the Team here has no say over their P&Ps. From what I can see above, you're not happy with name calling from Torqen and a sponsorship deal. I can understand why you would not be happy about the former and that would not be tolerated on the club forum or social media. The latter is a matter for the car owner and whomever is buying advertising space on the car. None of this appear to be related to the club's Facebook page nor the forum. If I am mistaken, please let us know and we will treat it accordingly. In order to move this forward, I suggest a couple of things which may be of use. Address your concerns with Facebook's private groups and privacy settings with them, and raise a dispute. You have your own Abbey webspace, this may be a more appropriate place to air grievances about social media, without involving a third party. This is not intended to diminish your concerns but it is intended to illustrate that we are here to assist with disputes related to the content and/or trading that goes on here. We've been used as space for long running feuds in the past and we have no desire to go back there, it has no benefit for Members and only creates cliques and ill-feeling, which are of no use to anyone here.
  4. I must admit I thought the same thing, but I bet you can get strong money for those near perfect parts that came out!
  5. along mate, born in Whitehaven but not lived in the Lakes for 20 odd years.
  6. How are you still alive? Very pleased you are though
  7. I get my BRZ touch up from a main stealer, not usually too expensive.
  8. Nice to see a positive post about car insurance!
  9. Ooooh subtle but really effective.
  10. I believe, wheels, exhausts, air filters, stereo equipment, swapping bulbs for LEDs or small painting projects (like wing mirrors) don’t count as mods.
  11. Hi Everybody Recently we have had a glut of occurrences of people replying by email, to forum email notifications. In the expectation that it will go directly to the sender of the PM. If you get an email from the Forum it is intended to let you know that something occurred on the forum, of which you've asked to be notified. You need to login and engage with the PM or thread, on the forum - you can't reply to the email notification and expect it to do anything. If you do reply to the email, it sits in the admin inbox and the intended recipient does not see your message, nor get an alert that you have replied. This is a particular problem when buying items from traders and letting the other party know you have paid, or asking questions. It causes frustration and delays for both sides of the transaction. I hope this message is clear, but if you do have any questions about how notifications work, please do post up below.
  12. Sorry you have felt the need to post this Mark, Scott and the Abbey Team. It's unusual to see a post like this on here, as feedback for all of our Traders is generally positive. That said, we do understand why you would want to address concerns of this nature. I would suggest to everyone sat at their keyboard reading this, before you post up or PM, that hearsay is unhelpful in discussions of this type. Please consider if something "you've heard" is credible and demonstrable, before repeating it to others. As ever, should anyone come across anything that goes beyond a simple expression of opinion, please feel free to use the report button, post up on the thread and tag us, or PM The Team directly.
  13. No mods for a while, but I was driving over Snake Pass recently and the chaps from bikerpics were up there, needless to say they recognised sexy (even with 4 wheels) so I treated myself to a snap. Which is now a canvass in the kitchen.
  14. I have used the same superb mechanics at Grinspeed in Leyland for years but find myself working in Sheffield for the foreseeable. I’ll be going back there for big mods, but I need a local for other things. Does anyone have any recommendations in the area for either a decent indie? Happy to drive a bit for one. Thanks for your help.
  15. Up to you, but might want to drop your address off.
  16. along, love the back end on a Mk1 - thicc
  17. The usual simplistic, short term penny pinching BS. The majority of car owners do so as a necessity, rather than the pleasure of driving or ownership. If they had real, viable, cheaper, convenient alternatives they would take them up in a second, but we’ve not invested properly in public transport since we invented the train. People swallow the rubbish about their being no money for investment in solutions but it’s an ideological choice not to invest, rather than a constraint. We were apparently potless before Covid, but then magicked money up to pay everyone’s wages at 80%. It needs to at least be some carrot, not all stick.
  18. Love these shots. Sig needs update now
  19. Yay another Larry fan! If you want to double up on an order some time and cut the shipping to the UK, drop me a PM. Absolute world of options out there and the best thing is, no one totally agrees on any products Polished bliss is a great shop and also has loads of good content too - https://www.polishedbliss.co.uk - it's not just restating what the manufacturer says, it has their take on application as well. I would suggest to dive in with a few things, you'll end up buying waaaaaay more than you need and then either stick with something you like, or move on when the bottle is empty. If you're tempted to keep trying new products each time, take it from me, when you find a good one, make a note or save a bookmark so you don't forget what it was! There's also some decent content on this very forum, pinned in the Detailing section, if you've not seen it already. Last but not least, before he says it https://gyeonquartz.com knock out some great products and there is good instructional content on the site too.
  20. Have you tried putting a coating on to make them easier to clean in future? Never through to do it until now.
