Any reason? Prefer the higher insurance premium for subsequent years or is it that points are cool?

For a few seconds there I thought you meant the glove box . Its a Stanley Fatmax mobile workstation. If you want to see one in all its glory I'd suggest looking at this thread... http://www.detailing...ad.php?t=207474 I've got a spare door pull for sale if you want to try a few things out and not mess with your own one. There's a glove box? That thread you linked to is awesome, love the workstation and the bespoke bottles!!!! This forum continues to find new and innovative ways to drain my bank account

MPSS. Did a quick google after Alex's post. Helpfully the internet has posts on their sidewall being both soft and stiff! -
Two Weird Zed Questions: a strange noise and a strange feeling
Stutopia replied to Stutopia's topic in 350Z Technical
Tyre walls makes sense, cheers Alex, not thunk of that. Spiggot bush. Is this one of those jobs you do when the clutch is replaced as a "while it's all out, may as well"? -
Nice work so far. I like the black metal bit on passenger door, might have to copy this. What's that cool thing you store all your detailing goodies in? I want one!

Two Weird Zed Questions: a strange noise and a strange feeling
Stutopia replied to Stutopia's topic in 350Z Technical
On both? Interesting. -
Got a couple of (vague but nagging) Zed questions that have been perplexing me over the last month or so: 1) The noise: at the top of each gear there's a strange sort of noise, just as I shift up and only when I'm 'making progress'. The clutch doesn't slip when the next gear is engaged, or on a hill or otherwise. Don't know if this helps but when it appeared the other day, I got asked, "Do you have a dump valve?". 2) The feeling: sometimes when I make a sharpish turn in or mid roundabout, it feels like the car just slides across an inch underneath me. This isn't the tyres struggling on the road, there's no squeal and I'm not pushing on. It just feels like the whole beast shuffles over an inch to the outside, this is mainly felt via my butt. Any ideas? Sorry my questions aren't specific, but they definitely really happen!

Sweet footage. I can feel my wallet bricking it when I ask this, but what camera did you shoot that with? Hi mate, this was filming on a Sony nex 7 with a vintage canon 70-200fd manual lens. First time shooting with this so not great with pulling focus yet. Can't be easy at that range with the subject shifting so quickly! -
Liked! But now I feel a bit wrong

Ye me lol now they budget tyres were gunna screw me over lol , came straight of the track and straight out the exit lol .... Then straight to the body shop lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Unlucky mate, I had a "moment" on the 4th corner of my first track day in the soaking wet, but the electronics saved me from certain doom. If it makes you feel better I was running MPSS at the time, simply too heavy right foot... -
Very nice. One thing I've noticed and I notice it on mine too is that black lip that runs beneath the bumper. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? What is it? Part of the undertray? It's been a while but isn't it just a bolted on bit of plastic? To protect the bumper. I'm sure mine came straight off when my lip was fitted.

At the risk of being serious... On the general subject, I think there's an enormous difference between what language people use amongst themselves (rapping along to tunes or amongst friends who know your behaviour as well as your use of language) and what is used via a medium which touches millions of people, the majority of which don't know their true attitudes, like TV, movies, twitter et al. Having said that I think this specific issue came to light in totally the wrong way, and I think that has an impact on his level of public crucifixion. If, at work, you have a problem with something someone says then: + You take it up with management. + If you think it's been brushed under the carpet then you have a right to go over their head and seek out senior management. + If that is brushed under the carpet, you have a duty to go to official bodies or to the media and leak information. This is the spirit of the public information disclosure act. It's a last resort to right a wrong and not a tool to grind an axe against someone WITHOUT making any attempt at all to use the proper channels first. No one has mentioned the complainant has tried to report this correctly in any way before leaking to the press. This is flat out wrong IMHO. Also when you're making a TV show or Film there are many takes, not all of these are a good idea or will see the light of day. To give an example, if an actor like Will Ferrell did a dozen takes of a scene an some of these were hugely inappropriate to include in the final film, for reasons of race/orientation/gender inequality, no one would hold it against him for pushing the limits of taste and decency, and he wouldn't face this kind of scrutiny. Equally, although Clarkson isn't an actor, he very definitely has a Top Gear character which he uses and I personally think that doing a take which is not appropriate for broadcast is part of him doing the "Clarkson" and there's a reason productions are edited before distribution. If anyone who worked on set who witnessed that had an issue, they have every right to raise it, just via the correct channels first, then to the meida as a last resort - not as the first point of contact. If Clarkson had refused to do other takes and insisted this go out to the world, it'd be a different story.

I presume that you know that the smoke is generated by the introduction of diesel into the jet exhaust Absolutely no idea Sorry if I came over as a bit of a teacher ... please allow me to rephrase "well in fact it is burning oil and they all are - diesel oil iirc" ... no worries, every day is a school day! If you're not learning new things, you're going backwards

Well deserved prize mate. Reckon you could polish a Zed? You know, all over? -
I wasn't looking to spend go pro money and it had to be small, on top of that it had decent reviews, and I'm considering putting one in front and back so wanted to see if they're any good at this money, also it ticked all my boxes TBH: 1080p Discreet Parking mode Supposed to have slightly better night performance than the möbius and looks a bit nicer than it too IMHO Sensibly priced There's so many budget options and it's the only one I've used, so I can't honestly say if it's the best at this price point, but I'm pleased with it and looking forward to using it on my road trip. Checkout dashcamtalk if you want to read reviews of ones you're looking at, there's good content on there.
