  1. It's all over, can't lose from that position :mindgames:
  2. Any chance of a bump on this? Could do with some more up-to-date info from our 70 brothers and sisters, or some "make sure you get this option" cooments
  3. SACD never really got big, but from what you're saying it makes a difference. Last time I dusted that off I'd mistakenly eaten some wild mushrooms and had a great time.
  4. Amazing, lucky lad. Some great snaps of the action too.
  5. This is true......... But getting the bits outta the perforations takes a lot more time, patience and LOADSA TOOTHPICKS! Then remember to dispose of your toothpicks hygienically and don't leave them next you the clean ones.
  6. Souldn't the sealant go down first to allow it bond with the paint surface? Then wax on top for gloss? I could be totally wrong so many products have different rules.
  7. There's a point at between 2.7k to 2.9k where if you sit in that rev range it definitely resonates a little, but I wouldn't call it drone. I tend to motorway cruise at about 73 (as per the optimistic digital speedo) so I avoid any legal aggro and the sound is fine. If I creep up a little over that, then it gets a little quieter. I don't do much motorway cruising and when I do, I tend to have the tunes on fairly pumping, so if you're worried you really need to get a ride in one with the setup you're planning.
  8. Just a short one, it was stone cold, so I didn't gun her too hard. I take another but she's sounding a bit sick at the minute. That's the sound from an iphone sat on the ground, in between the tail pipes. It's not hi-fi With regard to MOT, I've only been through one and she passed with flying colours, the HFCs has only been on the car for about 30 mins when it went through the test.

  10. I can't tell you one exhaust versus another in terms of gains, I'm sure if you flick through the dyno thread you can find some data. What I can say is I run a cosworth panel filter, plenum spacer, berks and a scorpion and not only do I like the sound (i.e. no drone, not too loud, but you know when you boot it) but I'm quite happy with my 292bhp and 264 torques after a remap. I know you don't want to hold back your power gains, but you have to hear the exhaust every second of every journey, so picking the noise you like outweighs 2-5 bhp difference in grunt IMHO. The improvement in driveability from the uprev should make you nice and happy, especially if you've got a noise you like, unless you're chasing numbers. Just sayin'
  11. In the spirit of sharing, most of my (slightly older) mates back in the day were massively into early 90s dance and it stuck with me ever since. I love the piano house tunes of the mid-90s and keep my hand in on electronic stuff, mainly breaks and deep drum n bass now. A mate of mine is a DJ and just started making his own tracks. One of his radio sets below, might not be for everyone, but fairly liquid funk.
  12. I'm liking Cow and Inter and Echo 109 - you should be driving a bloody Ferrari with that back catalogue I think I might love the Cow vocalist Maxine Cook. 33, so not far off. I think you put too much wait on the Phil Collins and not enough on The Prodigy They don't usually go in the same sentence. Perhaps I should have thrown in something a little bit later, like Pulp - probably my favourite band, Different Class just captures my youth completely. I didn't hate that at all. I didn't mention any hip-hop in my first list cos I tend to pick and choose tracks rather than full albums in that arena, I've got time for NWA and Jay Z and obviously Vanilla Ice... Variety is indeed the spice.
  13. informative as ever. Edit: I remember the hydrophobia test now
  14. Good shout on 6 music, a few people have pointed me there. Like those last two tunes Lexx
  15. Would look better if you could see the wheels Other than that, looks well.
  16. Just had a crack with some 50cal glass cleaner, liked it, total breeze to work with. Is there an ilogikal1 glass cleaner and rain repellent thread somewhere round here???
  17. I know it's not a wax but, whenever I see black cars on here with it on, Poorboys Black Hole Glaze always looks good, their products I've used are well priced and dead easy to work with too.
  18. Might be just because I'm getting old, or because most music actually stopped being a sound and started being "a look" somewhere around the late 2000s (I blame the whole T4 thing and the brains that brought us Nick Grimshaw). Anyway, reasons aside... I'm finding it hard to find new music. I like to think I span the genres, taking in anything from The Stones, High Contrast, The Boss, Beastie Boys, Neneh Cherry, Radiohead, Prodigy, Pink Floyd, Dizzee Rascal, Urban Cookie Collective, - I've even listened to Phil Collins non-ironically. The last album I bought was Air - Moon Safari (which I missed in the 90s). The last "new" albums that I actually liked were Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See, and The Vaccines -Come Of Age. So I'm hoping to kick this thread off and get some recommendations, not just for me, but a mutually beneficial thing. With youtube and spotify, no one needs to spend any money to check out new sounds, just need some new ideas. All contributions welcome, I won't flame you if your favourite band is Haim. I just don't want to turn into someone who just listens to the same music over and over - I want to find the new sound
  19. The mid-2007 seems to be the earliest model supported, so if you have that one, it should run. Sorry I can't tell you if it will run at a sensible speed though. http://osxdaily.com/2013/06/11/os-x-mavericks-system-requirements/ Some opinions here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1658643
  20. If anyone is using Mail on OSX and has noticed the minor irritation (usually when someone replies to one of your emails) that your original sent mail font in the email chain has actually changed to Times New Roman, try installing this: http://universalmailer.github.io/UniversalMailer/ It's a little add on for Mail which "fixes" the issue. My mail displays in my chosen font, size and style in the compose window (HP Simplified size 12pt for me), but Mail actually sends it out as Times New Roman (the worst font after comic sans). Once it's insalled, when you send mail it persists the font you selected to compose the mail. The bonus being the recipient won't think you've sent it from 1995 or that you are over 70 years old You can also force it to make attachments not "in line". So when you drop an image into an email, it is attached properly and not disaplyed massive in the middle of the email body!
  21. I'm pretty sure it's policy for Nessie to deployed into maritime combat, should the lunatics win the vote
