Quick idiot question, the Zed is my first torquey RWD car so I've been on a learning curve coming from small engined FF and left the aids well alone. If I'm driving in a spirited fashion and the light isn't flashing, is the power going down in exactly the same way with or without the button depressed, up until the point it actually kicks in to stop me doing something beyond my ability?

In the interests of clarity, I have never fitted this in the Zed. This is a geneirc part which will require some modding of your handbrake to make it happen - like any other handbrake handle addition to the zed's fairly nasty handbrake. My late 2011 came with a spindle for the boot drive, so it was great mod getting an SSD in to replace it, worth 50bhp at least But if you've already got one, happy days.

No idea mate. A friend came round and said that it was the cause of the issue, or rather the fan that supports it. It just clicks and chirps all the time, its pretty annoying. Sounds like a squeaky fan CONSTANTLY. Whilst they've got it open, why not pop in an SSD? My authorised apple repair fellow installed a 500GB solid state drive on mine and she rips along nicely, plus you can pop the old drive in a caddy for backup.

"Le Tour" effect has gone mental up here. Spent the weekend in North Yorkshire for a wedding, couldn't move for cyclists. I'm a fan to be fair, so I don't mind sharing the road with anyone daft enough to go out there in micro thin lycra for protection and a polystyrene hat, but they were riding 3 and 4 abreast? Really? On back roads not wide enough for two cars all it takes is someone coming the other way on a bend with a high wall or hedgerow - boom, its all over. Even the most basic fans of cycling should know they should be riding in a line into the wind, then taking turns at the front

Generally speaking quick detailer is just a spray layer of protection and can also be used for dust removal. I don't use it for a waterless wash, as I don't like the idea of that. I use it for the whole car after a quick wash, instead of the times when I do a proper wash and a wax. Some quick detailers are more focused on being cleansers but what I was saying above is; I you have some and want to top up protection, use it AFTER you're cleaned up the gift and the paint is clear, as it will leave a layer of protection on the cleaned area in case you were a bit aggressive in the clean up and lifted any wax. It's not necessary to have a quick detailer, but they are handy. You can spend loads or a little. I'm currently trying eco touch quick wax, but there's loads to try and you don't have to blow the budget either

Easiest way is a warm (not hot) damp microfibre towel sat on offending gift for a few minutes to soften, it should then wipe up easily enough. Any kind of "wax safe" all purpose cleaner if it's a really stubborn one, but still do the warm cloth first to soften. Obviously do your best not to spread it around If you ware worried you can always mist some quick detailer over the area to make sure there's some protection left, and buff with a fresh cloth. Anything is better than leaving it there, a little spray bottle with a 50/50 mix of water and all purpose cleaner in the boot is always super useful. Remember to wash your hands

Irrational fear for me. Don't like the idea something inside you can't see, might be cracked/bent and waiting to break/explode into flames on some bend 5k down the road. I know this could be the case on any car, it's irrational. Agreed a keying is obviously not a big deal to fix, but even if you did every panel on a 30k car, surely that wouldn't be a CAT D ?

Probably miles for me, before CAT D. But I guess it depends on how well you know the seller and the damage and the people who put it back together - could be a bargain if it's been done by someone you trust and a garage you rate.

Or look like real humans? Think about who could replace humans and provide an almost convincing version of a human... 100 years ago, no one had a phone. 30 years ago your phone had a big plastic dial on the front and was cabled to the wall. Today, your phone is a mobile connection to a fantastic, interconnected network of devices all over the world, which plays games, downloads movies, checks you bank balance, orders pizza, it can even understand commands from your voice and the magic glass interprets multi finger gestures... Think about who could make those changes so fast... Today, some diesel cars don't sound like tractors, go fast and some you can't even tell they are diesel when you're in the cabin. Who could make this fantastical dream possible???? ALIENS!!!!! They took the plane, then beamed it back last week after giving everyone probes. They are inside Cameron, operating his face by wire, they invented the smartphone, they made diesels not rubbish, and CONCLUSIVELY they even invented a substance so fantastic that it makes KFC edible.
