  1. I think that red is sensational.
  2. I like your "w brace" where did you pick that up?
  3. Any reason they wouldn't cover you Dan? It's not like you 17 and only ever driven a golf cart, I thought they'd just rinse you of some cash
  4. If I'm unclear on legal proceedings I watch Super Troopers and Police Academy 1. For complex matters, Tango & Cash.
  5. If you're not getting much luck on the forum search, you can focus the might of every single google server and their search beam directly on to the forum by prefixing your google search with "site:350z-uk.com" e.g. enter into google search box site:350z-uk.com key fob mod I find this delivers more relevant search results.
  6. That orange is quite superb.
  7. The scorpion which was one my Zed when I bought it didn't melt the bumper. I've now got a CF diffuser on there too, which sits even closer to the tips (without touching) but hasn't caused any melting. Are your tips actually touching the bumper?
  8. I occasionally find myself perusing wheels, but quickly get bored as I have zero comprehension as to what will fit and keep the Zed as close to OEM set up (aggro free) as possible. This guide is really helpful, thanks To take me one step further (and see if I actually do understand) could someone check my maths and deductions below make sense please? If the 350z Rays Wheels (5 stud, with a PCD of 114.3) and tyres are the following: Front - Size: 18 x 8.0 - Offset: + 30 mm - Tyre: 225/45/18 Rear - Size: 18 x 8.5 - Offset: + 33 mm - Tyre: 245/45/18 A broadly agreeable "Good Looking" spacer combo for the RAYS is: Front 20mm - Rear 25mm So by my fag packet maths, the aftermarket 18" wheel and tyre combo which MOST CLOSELY matches OEM spec, but fills the arches nicely works out at: Front - Size: 18 x 8.0 - Offset: + 10 mm - Tyre: 225/45/18 Rear - Size: 18 x 8.5 - Offset: + 8 mm - Tyre: 245/45/18 Which makes the after market 19" wheel and tyre combo which MOST CLOSELY matches OEM spec, but fills the arches nicely: Front - Size: 19 x 8.0 - Offset: + 10 mm - Tyre: 225/40/19 Rear - Size: 19 x 8.5 - Offset: + 8 mm - Tyre: 245/40/19 Yeah? Or am I confused and not factored in where the brembos fit or the arches or some other school boy error? Thanks.
  9. I know it's a well trodden path but I was so pleased with this I had to post some pics Gloss black roof and one step below limo rear windows tint. Should hopefully stop bird @*!# eating the lacquer and hide the slight colour mismatch of my roof Sadly I don't really have anywhere handy where I can get a decent shot from above
  10. Midnight Purple or Aston Cobalt
  11. Nice work, you've really got off to great start on this
  12. Good to know, I went CTEK MXS 5T in the end. I'll save solar for when I move to California
  13. EcoTouch are starting to make their mark on my goto list...
  14. Cheers Jumping, been looking at mixed reviews of solar OBD2 connected trickle chargers, not entirely convinced. I'll just whip it out instead.
  15. Will do, ta. Next time I'll put a bit more time into prepping them too. There was a really runny tyre shine in a waxybox a few boxes ago, forgot which one it was sadly as although it went everywhere when I was applying it, the shine stayed for ages. Edit: Think it was Eco Touch tyre shine.
  16. If it wasn't for a house purchase I'd be all over this, it's a hair's breadth away from being a fabulous, unique Jag. Hope you find a good home for her.
  17. It still beads, but there's no glossy look. Used it on MPSS. Prep was minimal, I got the tyres wet and gave 'em a rub. That said, I don't normally prep my tyres before applying anything to them.
  18. Cheers G. That battery (which I think might have been the original from 2004) has been consigned to the [insert legal disposal method] and I've got a new shiny one. I'm just wanting to keep her brimmed whilst I'm away, it was PITA last time, so I was hoping a little trickle top up might be perfect. I've found a couple that charge through the OBD2 port, which sounds scary, but is also quite an elegant solution to keeping it low key and relatively out of sight.
  19. I got a plate to hide the age, searched for the cheapest one I could find. My initials are SAS so they were all super steep so I just settled for a V6 prefix and went from there. I think it does a great job of taking years off her, I've had a couple of people assume it's 20-30k of car and nearly new (they've not seen the interior scractches mind ) I'll probably leave it on when I sell it (unless the next one is a 10 year old V6 too...
  20. Gonna revive this rather than start a new one for just a quick question. Last time I went on holiday, I came back to a flat battery after a week. I'm away soon for 3 weeks, so want to take precautions. Most people seem to rate the CTEK stuff, so that should be an easy first option, but has anyone got a solar conditioner? The problem is, the car is not parked in the sort of place where I'd like to leave it plugged into the mains. So I'm thinking, solar charger in the boot will be out of sight and also able to be connected up permanently whilst I'm away. The other option is to whip the battery out and just have it plugged in in the garage. Is there anything to fear about her sitting there without a battery for 3 weeks, other than losing my carefully tuned settings on the head unit? Ta.
