  1. Yeah, did two weeks in California and Nevada same car, same crew. We don't all have handbags to take with us Dan
  2. Snap! I'm in Florida for a road trip for three weeks in September too. Reserved exact model via the Hertz Adrenaline Collection (but reservation made months ago), got a convertible Camaro which JUST takes three men and luggage (if you don't mind a bag on one of the back seats while the top is down). I don't need an ITDP but I got one anyway, a friend of mine got pulled in Nevada for misdemeanour speeding and Highway Patrol were happy with UK licence only, but as I said, I got one anyway. Most looking forward to driving the Oversea Highway, the 'glades and also a trip around the pan handle to New Orleans. Gonna watch the Miami Dolphins (well mainly their cheerleaders ) too. Have fun, keep an eye out for us in the Camaro. Don't forget your ESTA too Edit- just found this R – USA (Florida) compulsory IDP – 1 January 2013 A law was introduced in Florida, USA, on 1 January 2013 requiring all persons who hold a licence issued outside of the US to carry an International Driving Permit along with their national driving licence. The Governor of Florida repealed this law on 2 April 2013, however, car hire companies and insurance companies can impose their own terms and conditions so you should check with your intended hire/insurance company prior to travel or obtain an IDP as a precautionary measure.

Some ideas in this similar themed topic here bud http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/89453-tell-me-what-double-din-to-buy-please/
  4. It was up in the air last week, flexis are fine. I'm convinced it's between the seats and the engine. Alternatively could it be the DMF on its last legs?
  5. I've got a rattle which appears about 1300 rpm and either stops or is drowned out by the exhaust at higher revs. It diminishes when she warms up but doesn't go, clutch position makes no difference. It's not cats or cat heat shields or back of the cats, definitely forward of the seats. It's a high pitched metallic rattle? I had a look in the bay, but couldn't see anything obvious. Any ideas? Thanks.
  6. You'll never know until you get stuck in. Give it a rub for an hour and see where you are.
  7. You might also consider adding http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessories/wire-wool/prod_377.html to your armoury.
  8. The only downside is it takes a fair chunk of elbow grease and burns through microfibres (which will only be fit for the bin after!).
  9. Congratz to Jr., I wish I'd passed first time Let her have that silver one, the azure is too nice Skillz
  10. I've got a Pioneer AVH-X2500BT, works with steering controls with the right adapter, bluetooth, works with my reverse cam, plays DVDs full of MP3s as well as movies (not sure this is that useful TBH ). Things I wish I'd considered when I bought it are: The touchscreen is a little laggy, compared to say an modern smartphone, not sure how it compares to other brans of HU Integrated sat nav - I'd prefer not to have an extra device in there Digital radio (wish I'd got this) Front facing USB port - wish I'd got one so I could do firmware updates and use USB stick without ripping the console out. The second and third of the above can be worked around with an adapter for a smartphone and an unlimited data deal. There's loads to choose from, so do a bit of reading as well as what comes up on here. Good luck mate.
  11. I only ever do the tips but when I do use the Britemax Metal Twins. Not sure what your exhaust is made of, so you might want to check that before splashing any cash http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=152466 http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/shop/britemax-metal-twins-metal-cleaner-polish-and-sealant.html
  12. Thanks for the input fellas, the more I read the more I like about them. My checklist so far: FSH, including the inbetween oil changes not round wheels sticking gear selector cracked exhasut manifold leaking rear shocks headgasket
  13. That's good to hear, they're like rocking horse **** to find for sale with FSH!
  14. That's insane GM, great find. It was actually the four seater I was thinking of, but I love that vid
  15. Anyone driven one of these? They look pokey (0-60 under 7 seconds), reasonably economical if not thrashed and relatively practical; weighing less than a wet microfibre towel, I'd expect them to be fun in the bends too. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201406295396710/sort/atcustom/make/smart/keywords/brabus/postcode/fy14qs/radius/1500/advert-type/Classified/model/forfour/usedcars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/page/1/quicksearch/true?logcode=p
  16. along bud, if anyone on here can get it, I'd wager it's worth trying to
  17. I love the way it gets under his skin so quickly! The initial moans about visibility, shifts and interior scratches just suddenly don't count
  18. I use these on my electrical goodies to keep them debris free. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Office-Depot-HFC-Free-Duster/dp/B00KRE9ZDM/ref=sr_1_4?s=officeproduct&ie=UTF8&qid=1408228674&sr=1-4 You should turn it off first and NOT shake the can, otherwise you get liquid with your air.
  19. Give them a call Will, they're usually pretty helpful. PICNIC
  20. Or different grease possibly? http://www.amazon.co.uk/GREASE-cartridge-bearings-resist-marine/dp/B00JVVJ9KQ Still lubed up and click free since October.
  21. Only just seen this thread, love these proper builds I could only dream of. Subscribed! It's a beautiful motor to start with, so can't wait to see the progress.
