+1 for BCN - never been to Rome but hit Barca for the last 3 years for NYE. Head to the Moritz brewery (http://moritz.com/en) for some lunch and a drink (check out the menu including a chicken with a can of beer stuffed up its @ss), then treat her to a stadium tour of the Nou Camp - most romantic thing I can think of...

Very nice glossy looking paint you've got there Can't do mine it's parked up at work this weekend as I've got a 320D for transporting 2 work colleagues who refuse to get in boot of the Zed, despite me assuring them you can comfortably fit two golf bags in there . I miss our weekly mitt time... Perhaps some woollies mate? http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/wheel-woolies-wheel-brush-kit/prod_1037.html -
That sucks, sorry mate. Shame as it's a classic motor.

Feels like normal Zed noise, mine did it before the clutch was replaced and still did it after. Get a vid up.

So, having read that, I think we all need to know; why hasn't the scooby had a run out in 5 years?

What's the point of charging, but having all that excess plate plinth and rear wiper weight on there? Get it stripped down because racecar I originally bought a square plate for the front, but it wouldn't fit in the grille recess and the plate people wouldn't do me a smaller oblong plate for legal reasons, so it's not entirely down to you two naggin'

In line water filters - any good or is it just a case of getting the big tank things? Compressed air for the irritating bits - badges, wing mirrors, lug nuts - is it just a case of buying a small cheap compressor, I guess huge pressure is neither necessary nor desirable for detailing? Ta

FFS - small front plate ordered just now - thanks you two

I'm never wrong. I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong. It does make the bumper look a lot cleaner, but I still think plates look slightly out of place down on the grille personally. It doesn't look terrible by any means, it just doesn't quite look... perfect I suppose. Might look better if you trim down the 6 feet of white space at either end of the plate. Just as well you discovered WetCoat recently then just keep White Diamond/Black Hole stockpiled to make up for that new wash technique. Vis-a-vis the WetCoat it arrived today from Ultimate Finish, but with no spray head?????? Does it usually come with one? I'm guessing it should as it's a spray on product. GRRRRRRRR. PS - I take your point on acres of white on the number plate

Have I read that correctly? I can take under the limit for each one of those for breakfast, then wash it down with a single Wild Turkey and still be legal to drive yeah? Just say no kids, like Zammo. -

Thanks mate. Incorrect about the plate, but other than that you're right Shiny is down to harsh car park strip lighting and the excellent AMMO Skin Defense (and the new one bucket, sponge wash process ) which is now sadly empty

Welcome along! I can't believe I've never seen such a nice red roadster round here before.

It's been mainly maintenance of late but I managed to squeeze in a cheeky mod or two in the latest round of upkeep. The bumper was suffering from the usual stone chips and coming off worst in the battle versus speed bumps at work, so it was time for a freshen up. Whilst she was in, I got thinking why not drop the plate onto the grille and deal with the holes from behind the plinth A little before and after action. It has't moved far in yardage but I much prefer it down there, cleans the front end up nicely. No idea why I didn't get it shifted ages ago when the lip went on I had a small scratch on the offside spat properly resprayed after the less than fantastic job I did after the back lost a fight with a gate post. No picture, but there's nothing to see, so perfect really! Then for a mod that I have had my eye on almost since I first bought the Zed, but never fancied splashing the cash on until a GB from Tarmac - thanks his I couldn't decide for ages whether to go gloss black or body colour, but finally made my mind up and had these Stillen louvres fitted and painted. I know they're not for everyone, but I absolutely love them For me, with the glossy back roof and the glossy black wing mirrors, I think they work really well as a glossy black trio I'm definitely done with exterior mods now, so that is a partial Zeditis cure. Except maybe wheels, one day... PS - when I got to the bodyshop, it was being washed with one bucket and a sp... I can't even say it. Please don't tell ilogikal1...

I hope it's off site and secured in a fire proof, flood proof location?

Extremely poor man management, how does he think your motivation levels will respond to being held back in this way? It's short sighted and counter productive. I'd be speaking to the new manager and making your feelings clear. Perhaps suggesting you would help in the recruitment process for any successor, as well as a facilitating a decent length handover period? Good luck bud.

Yay, all arrived. High point of the freezing winter months. Thanks to all those who made it happen

Wifi repeaters are cheap as chips, but it can be a PITA in some buildings placing them somewhere that has a strong connection to the existing Internet router AND also creates a useful wifi cloud that penetrates into the areas where you want to boost signal - especially if you have old, thick walls or are going up a few floors. What I did was take an old sky router, lay one cat5 cable to the weak wifi area from the main router then use the old sky router to make a wifi cloud in the poor signal area. All it cost was a length of cat5 and a long drill bit. Set the wifi name and password to the same as the main router and your devices should happily automatically flip between the two clouds as you move around the homestead.

Hopefully karma will do its magic and they'll wake up impotent, or get crabs, or thier teeth will fall out, or suffer a blunt instrument trauma when the next person turns out to be more mental than they are.

Were you expecting any corrective action from a wax? Also what backing plate do you use?

The DJ microsuede linked are 40x40cm so a proper size for doing things like decent expanses of glass and not full of grease after 2 minutes, like I find with the tiny glasses case type versions. I keep one in the arm rest with some glass cleaner, so I can do my dash, stereo, mirrors whilst sat in traffic If you've got time to lean, you've got time to clean.
