  1. +1 Well, perhaps I should say that the yellow ones will fetch a larger premium. Pete Where did they shave 75kg off from?
  2. I know what you mean G and it is not that bad in the big scheme, but I can't walk past the offside now without eyes locking in on it, shedding a tear, and ignoring all the beautiful rest of it. Also I find that once you start "living with" this and that, it's a slippery slope. My Clio went to the great scrapyard in the sky - all because the sun roof stopped working. No really. I lived with that sunroof for months, then the interior door handle snapped off - I lived with that, the gear knob rubber came off - I lived with that, then the passenger door got a screwdriver hole from a break in (they didn't even steal my CDs!!!) - I lived with that, then I smashed a steel wheel on a kerb - I lived with that, then the next thing you know the gearbox is broken and it's only worth £50 to a scrappy, dead at 11 yrs old Still if you buy French, these things will happen
  3. If you happen to need to get rid of a set of these in a few weeks time, I've always fancied painting mine
  4. Won't the one wing in MP2 look a bit odd though? Glad it's not too expensive for you, still sucks that you're having to fork out at all though. Going MP2 one panel at a time!
  5. This loooks exciting, any teaser shots? (f the calipers not you and Doogy taped up)
  6. Do it. Do it now! On a slightly more serious note (do it!) that'll definitely need paint then, I'm afraid. You might as well try it yourself first - you've got nothing to lose at this point. And then do the Midnight Purple 2 thing anyway. £150, booked in for three weeks time. Don't need to do the bonnet and other wing
  7. Thank you! I picked it up off a fellow member, but ultimately I think it came from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-BOOT-SPOILER-/131428492465?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e99bfa4b1 Just need a good bodyshop to make it fit well.
  8. Thanks mate, very nice of you to say so. Chips away are my plan B.
  9. Not only does it catch a nail, the panel is actually deformed inward slightly and it very nearly accumaltes standing water!!! I'll clean it and bang some touch up in simply to keep the elements at bay, but I fear this has wing re-spray written all over it. That means doing the bonnet and other wing too, if I'm doing the bonnet I may as well get a bulge bonnet fitted. Then you've done a grand getting it put right. Alternatively, I could get that Midnight Purple 2 full respray I've always wanted. All of a sudden, £75 quid to chips away starts to seem like a good idea! Gonna drop into my bodyshop guy this afternoon and see if he has any ideas.
  10. So, you put the lime (citrus) in the cocounut and mix 'em all up? At the risk of being taken to school, perhaps it might make BSD less grabby if you were to try with a different MF weight or pile? Rather than mixing it with other goodies? With regard to the previous LSP I used (post #282), it was probably BSD applied as a drying aid.
  11. If you do, see if it stops for seemingly no reason after a couple of hours. Mine has done this twice now, with memory card space left and battery left. Just stopped
  12. Don't be too hard on BJ. I'm going to go with a stronger ratio next time and see where that takes me. I think at this price it would still consititute good value at 5:1 instead of 10:1. Also, due to working the last three weekends, that wheel grime and bird lime might have been there a while putting down roots...
  13. Think it's every 10 years you need to update your photo on the photocard licence.
  14. Been looking for a test for the GoPro time lapse - snowfoam's ultra slow movement is perfect!
  15. First play with the WetCoat today. I'm usually sceptical of magical products but as you rated this and know your way around a £1 spray head, I flipped out e-wallet. Not really sure what stage in my routine this would normally replace, so I just added a new step pre-towel off and then didn't QD afterwards. Using "science" I sprayed two of the three sections of the bonnet with WetCoat and left one alone ( I separated it into thirds using the natural vertical lines and carefulish aiming). Can you tell which third difn't get a WetCoat before this shot was taken? My suspicions continued that this was too magical (and ilogikal1 is secretly a Gyeon robot) as I did the rest of the car without seeing too much excitement. In fairness, with the products I have on there I get a bead straight after a two bucket wash anyway, so I may be doing WetCoat a minor disservice. One day I might clay half a panel and see what really is what. I took the unusual step of doing some fake beading shots after the towel dry and was genuinely impressed by the results I may never quick detail again... (once the gallons of various QDs I have are used up)
  16. Let up e know how you get on with it. Is it call bubbly jubbley?? Lol Working from home today so cracked out the pressure washer It is indeed called Bubbly Jubbly and was £19 for 5 litres, which I think is decent value. I followed the instructions (not in a proper ilogikal1 "use a 10ml syringe" way) and measured the advised qualities with my eyeball Here she is about 1 minute after I finished foaming. Not full on shaving foam thickness but thicker than Avalanche's paltry efforts. Around the 7 minute mark. Around 10 minutes. I find that anything that clings to my paint that long without drying out, is doing well, unless she's particularly heavily soiled in traffic film. On a warmer day I would've started to pressure wash it off before 10 minutes. I was totally happy with it up to this point, smelled nice easy to work with. It's slightly runnier than I expected from a snowfoam, which meant it was a bit quicker getting it in the lance/ I don't expect snowfoam to eliminate dirt (it's not a touchless wash after all), but I do expect it to soften said filth up. The foam I rinsed off the side steps was discoloured with road grime (obvisouly this is good) and left them in good order (the foam you can see underneath is run off from the rear of the car, not the darker stuff I rinsed off the skirts). Some bird gifts remained, albeit reduced. I could have shifted more off the wheels by getting the pressure washer in tighter but I don't like to get too close with it. You can see where I have used my finger to test rub some of the muck away. I should say I did't have any proper wheel cleaner applied before this point and it's been many months since they were sealed. I was going to get the woolies on them anyway so again, this is purely softening work. By the time I was done with the foam stage I was pleased with the Envy offering. Sadly I forgot to take a photo pre-three-bucket-wash, but if I was really pushed for time it would have been plenty clean enough for me to just open hose the car all over and leave it there. It wouldn't have been clean enough for me to be happy towel drying it at that stage. Only a first use of this so I'll dabble with ratios the next few times and maybe try to thicken it up a little. My first impression is that I like this product enough for it to become my go to. Snowfoaming is more a luxury then a necessity so I don;t want to spend loads on foam. I'm yet to try the citrus based pre-wash cleansers, as I enjoy foaming everything with 30 feet of the house, so they could well offer better cleaning, however I always TBM after a foam so it makes little difference so long as the dirt is reduced and softened by the snowfoam I'm happy. It also does't live forever on your drive if that is a concern, plenty do I'd urge you to give it a try, they do a 1 litre bottle so even if you don;t like it, you won't be stuck with it forever like I am with half a gallon of Megs hyper wash!
  17. Found this today I don't know how it got there but it's either something high reversing into me at work, or someone hitting her with something hard. I thought shopping trolley to start with, but I always park miles away from the norms. Any ideas on putting it right? It's deep enough that it can't simply be left alone. Absolutely fuming.
  18. Once you get the analogue g-force meters in you'll be done.
  19. They look sweet Thought you were going for orange
  20. back. I didn't know you could remove that, I thought it was paint, good to know.
  21. I save that for special occasions when I want a deep, deep, deep clean.
  22. OI! Leave 50cal alone, I have a garage full of the stuff They have just dropped their prices by about 30%, though and yes, they are nicely packaged and customers do pay a premium for it, but, damn do their products smell amazing I'm not against 50cal!!! None of their products I've bought have been less than good, they just know how to charge. 30% off might tempt me back on a few (but not the snow foam!).
  23. I got mine working after some effort but I found it's seriously underwhelming. Try the "AppRadio Live" app if you want to have a play, the execution is a bit better though entirely US centric the last time I plugged it in. Using the basic bluetooth takes less effort and engages automatically.
  24. I must say the Envy products I've used so far (shampoo, APC, wheel cleaner) are properly brilliant. They may not have the sexiest boutique packaging of some manufacturers (or the price tags that go hand in hand with that ) but they shift muck for fun. You could put it in a flasher bottle with a hipster name, charge double (I'm looking at you 50cal) and people would jizz off over them galore. Funnily enough I've recently taken shipment of a gallon of Envy snow foam and am genuinely excited about giving it a whirl, possibly tomorrow
  25. How filthy was your air filter that came out? Also was it a different brand that went in? Might make a bit more noise no?
