This is what can happen if you spend too much time hanging around this thread...

Don't worry about the wife, they made thousands of those, Zeds are relatively rare Good luck with your fixes. I've got a 2004 too, the undertray was hanging off when I bought it (Z Speed FTW) battery was a few months back, discs and pads were flagged at my service yesterday. Best to get them out the way early doors and ready for summer

As it has reached a balmy 12C (peak of Northern summer) I thought it was time to lose the Alpins and go back to MPSS. Should guarantee some snow this week and no sun until September For safety purposes I had to go and scrub the release agent off the tyres on some quiet back roads, which also afforded me the chance to test the new sound from the Cobra. Well pleased with the noise As for the rubber, it was nice to get back on to summers, they feel a bit more stealthy as you drive around. It's been a mild old winter so I haven't really had a chance to see what the Alpins can do. I know they displace a shed load of water in heavy rain but I'm a little bit sad I didn't see some white stuff so I could work on my Scandinavian flicks. Would I buy them again? Not unless I moved somewhere colder or more inland where the sea wouldn't protect you from the snow and ice. If, you're not a landlubber or are south of Sheffield, chuck some snow socks in the boot for a winter emergency and keep your MPSS on (also think about moving to the North ).

If it does, I'll beat you to it Not if we have to drive there. 'chargers are for drivers who need to catch up on the straights what they lost in the bends

Cheers Gareth. You need to get your HR bonnet first though, otherwise it won't look right The zunsport will be up for sale soon. Unless a HR bonnet comes up for sale at a very cheap price, pre-painted in primer, erhh I mean Gun Metal then I just can't see it happening. At least you should have no probs selling the Zunsport grille I'd imagine. GLWTS. If it does, I'll beat you to it

That lip looks the shizzle, nice choice

A word of advice; give up now or accept that it'll drive you ******* mental trying to keep it shiny. There's a protruding inch of tip on each side that I'll keep clean. The rest will be allowed to develop as nature intends.

Interesting. Mine failed in the same place, just as I was closing the boot a week or so after installation. It obviously fully extened, at a fair old rate just, as the lid closed. Luckily there's just a small mark left on the tail light plastics and not a load of paint missing. Sh1t myself at the time mind Before anyone asks, I didn't fit them, it was done right, by a pro! Though I did fit the replacements that SGS sent (albeit with one bit upside down at first ). Been fine since I switched them the right way round, touch wood. The customer service process was ok.

Suzanne the LS3 6.2 V8! Caution very long build thread....

This is heating up nicely, super excited! -
Thanks! Well pleased with it, and the new noise too. Might do a little vid tomorrow, after she's had a bath.

A shiny one. Hmmm. Didn't have to clean the last one, tips didn't stick out past the diffuser and it was already oxidised when I bought her. This one however, is bloody spotless!!!!

The exhaust heat shield is still there, and in remarkably good nick. That makes sense as there's a can lurking round there behind the bit it tied on to on the bottom of the bumper. Thanks Chaps.
-
Whilst my exhaust was going on today, this part was a little bit in the way and a big bit rotten to ****. It used to live in here, fixed three ways between the back of the rear wheel arch liner, the tray affixed to the bottom of the bumper and the underside of the car. Anyone know if it did anything beyond providing some bracing for the rear of the arch liner? All I know for certain is that I now have a slightly improved power to weight ratio

Trip to Grinspeed for service, thanks to Clark Motorsport and Cougar Store for the fluids... Never get comfortable seeing her in the sky ...and the Cobra. Replacing the scorpion back box as its developed an irritating new sound which I'm guessing was baffles. Well pleased, looks mint, not heard here yet as she's still on the ramp!!!

...and if you buy your stickers elsewhere, you're effectively promoting cancer

im not following? *I'm Seriously though, a professional website really shouldn't be making errors like that. Hoonigan don't, or if they do it's dressed up as a phrase on purpose (the awful 'Ain't care' springs to mind). This is bugging me now Where are you getting the original quote from and what website are you going on about? Relax, here you go: http://www.jimmyup.com/about-us

Who is this Jimm Yup guy anyway?

Have you tried the Nanolex Pre-Wash Concentrate from the waxybox branded box yet? I can't figure out what is from the description. The first half says, "high foaming alkaline pre-cleaner" which I think means a sort half way between snow foam and citrus pre-wash. Then it says later on that it is, "highly suitable for removal of wax, polish residue and silicones". Will it strip protection if used as a pre-wash, in a lance, like a snow foam? I don't want all-in-one-does-50-jobs-and-last-for-19-years-protection-including-nuclear-armageddon products. I just want ones that do one job really well!!!!! It's a sign o' t' times I tell thee.

There's a thread on cleaning the motors somewhere but this is also worth a look. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/72351-has-anyone-fitted-a-mishimoto-nissan-350z-aluminium-fan-shroud-kit/ Edit: here's some stuff http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69810-how-to-repairfix-your-cooling-fan-motors-youtube-vid/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88321-carried-out-a-rad-fan-motor-fix-today-small-how-too/

Longer introduction messages go down better

All mods improve fuel economy, safety and increase the car's value, up to 25% more when in discussions with other halves
-
Just be gentle to start with, you can always go harder (ooo err) or do a test spot if you're worried.

Any decent APC should shift it, a soft toothbrush might be a good thing to get in there (don't put it back next to your sink though ) If it's been neglected (which it sounds like it) I'd suggest that once you have cleaned, rinsed and dried it, try some gummi pfledge to look after it. http://www.micksgarage.com/proddetails.aspx?pid=1584628

No carpet in the garage? Is the carchem pre-wax cleanser a straight replacement for werkstat prime? Which appears to have disappeared (just after you got me hooked on it ). Does it muster any cut at all? http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/blog/2014/11/introducing-the-carlack-range/

NIR Polarised Lenses - FIT - they are on my Xmas list, good for 15 bhp too http://www.dillonoptics.com/shop/metal-frames/greasewood/silver-nir-lens/greasewood-ss-s.html This dillon optics seem to sponsor The Smoking Tyre, which probably explains where Larry got his and that they were probably free.
