  1. There's a clear and present danger I might end up with one for my Norway / Sweden Road Trip next month. In itself not such a bad thing, specially if you're being upgrade from a Hyundai i10, but I had originally pencilled in a Macan. Sadly that's gone boobs skyward
  2. Whatever you end up with (C4 Cactus maybe ) hope you get yours back in great shape and quick, cos she's a beauty. Good luck mate.

    That is very nice.
  4. Third time lucky! Should be fun to follow, get some footage from the shakedown
  5. WetCoat doing it's thing after 2 weeks and some light drizzle - not bad.
  6. The PA foam lance rules them all* http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pa-foam-lance-cat2.html *I may never have used any other foam lance.
  7. Isn't it about time we all got behind a new petition, the Clarkson one is like soooooooo last week. https://www.change.org/p/bbc-hire-alan-partridge-for-top-gear We, the undersigned, would like to see Jeremy Clarkson’s vacated role on the BBC’s flagship programme Top Gear taken up by Alan Partridge. Alan has a strong track record for broadcast presenting, from his relaxed professionalism with guests on BBC chat show ‘Knowing Me Knowing You’ to his effortless banter on his talk shows at Radio Norwich. He has good experience with motoring TV, after his brilliant work on ‘Crash! Bang! Wallop! (What a video)’. His work as sports presenter on news programme ‘The Day Today’ also shows off his ability to talk about and inform on a range of topics. We believe this diversity of experience and his noted passion for cars puts Alan in great stead to take over as chief presenter after Clarkson’s successful tenure. Mr Partridge is both capable of retaining what has made the show great over the years and adding a new and vital reenergised flavour to the show. #hirepartridge
  8. Audi S8 or, if you could handle a second slower to 60, an XKR - V8, supercharged, beautiful - what more could you ask for?
  9. I wasn't really interested guesses and I know how the search button works. Thanks for the unhelpul reply. I was going to post a link for you, but seeing as I haven't done it myself I'd only be guessing that it was accurate so I don't think I'll bother now if that's your attitude. My attitude is simply that just about the most unhelpful reply anyone can post is "use the search button". Anyone that can use an internet forum knows about search and I'm not asking a FAQ like "what's the difference between an 05 and 06. Most people, like myself, use the forum search, plus google and only then post a question if they've drawn a blank. What you'll also find is that when I do the job, I'll post up a description and some photos, something no-one else in the history of the 350Z appears to have done yet - at least according to my forum and google searches. Next time you don't know something, try the forum search and google and get nowhere, what will you do? That's right, you'll start a thread. Then ask yourself what you'll think if the very first reply tells you to use search. Anyway, if you want to get all upset on someone else's behalf, you crack on son. Your Google skills are weak! Indeed they are but that's just what I needed - thank you! That's from the workshop manual linked in post #3
  10. I just soiled myself, that blue is beautiful. Has no one mentioned Midnight Purple II yet?
  11. A variety of workshop manuals are here: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nissan-350z-factory-service-manuals.html If you find yours and look for the LT pdf, that should be lights, do a search for high mounted light and you should find a little bit of detail, there's not a great amount.
  12. There's a load of options in here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87272-roof-rack/ The sucker one looks cool.
  13. How come you only wash your wheels once a year? You do a decent job of keeping the bodywork looking passable (for a non-GM car) The grabbiness you describe for slick rims is not exactly tempting me to go looking for it online, having to battle the product doesn't sound like much fun. Also having 83 years of FK left in the pot might also be influencing me That's quite a routine you've got going there for the wheels Given the sheer amount of brake dust and other such filth (not to mention kerbing) is it worth claying them? I'll wash and wax the wheels whilst my tech is replacing the discs that have just landed, but it'll be a hand held foamer and microfibre towel process, nothing more. I loathe wheel waxing at the best of times.
  14. But that was on some internet thing for kids, youtube or other such flash in the pan website. This was on proper TV!!!
  15. Snap! The headlights had to be off a zed didn't they?
  16. Nice nuts. You know he's a secret Gyeon agent don't you? But seriously, the Bathe+ is a great shampoo.
  17. Thanks! The repair is great, the colour match and blending are superb. I can't fault any of the work done by St Anne's Bodywork Centre and the prices are spot on too. I wasn't able to eat the haribo immediately as I was about to pass out from lugging the discs. I now clearly understand why people want to reduce unsprung weight As for the samples. If you're doing a sealant test, I'd be intrigued to see how the Skin Defense and Hyrdate would do in one of your "science" based trials. I can't promise you much more than a few panels worth though, my AMEX is still reeling from the shipment The rest of the products aren't really test material, beings soaps and cleaners rather than proection.
  18. Been a good few days for The Shark, she's been spoilt rotten Regular readers may remember this unwanted mod from one of the unwashed masses who can't write notes. Which now looks like this below, so good in fact I couldn't even take a photo of the correct spot on the wing The repair is spot on and I am well pleased The bodyshop also think they can tee me up with a good PDR guy who can sort out some small door dings and maybe even one on the rear wheel arch. These arrived from Ewen @ Clark Motorsport yesterday. I am super excited to get the discs on and finally be rid of the corroded blight of the current discs, oh and be able to stop better etc etc. To top it off, this lot arrived too and should see me right for another year and there's even some new products to try. If only I knew someone who could test some samples... Last but not least, I upgraded the crappy envelope which has all my Zed related bills in it to a fabulous shiny folder, complete with cover lifted out of this year's calendar All in all a not inexpensive week, but well worth it.
  19. My Michelin Alpin PA4s have just come off, only done circa 2k miles
  20. I've been trawling all the rental sites, so far the most interesting cars (M5, RR Sport, M235, Jaaaag XK, Toyota GT86) are all limited miles. The best unlimited I've seen so far are 5 series, Jaaag XF, Audi A5, Volvo (when in Rome) which are all fine cars but don't really give me the fizz. Thanks KyleR - really looking forward to it now
