  1. The creeper one is ZED shaped! They're both well priced too. Thanks
  2. I'm not going, but I just saw this on FB. Love the 360 camera view when they pass, but OMG the stone chips!!! Sorry if it's a pearoast.
  3. Anyone got one? As the years catch up and I get lazier, I'm getting bored of crouching when working on the lower parts of the car, particularly when holding the DA or cleaning the seats. Has anyone got/used/seen an adjustable stool, with the kind of wheels that will go over a roughish concrete back yard surface? Maybe even a little storage tray? Links would be good and naturally I'm expecting some photos of wheelchairs and products with Stannah emblazoned on them
  4. Haven't played GT6 in awhile now as I've got an awesome new game ~ Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition. Been waiting for the weekend just to play that as not really got time in the week. If I get bored of blowing peoples heads off I'll give GT6 another shot though. Nothing more entertaining than taking the talibans head off with a .50bmg lol Nah it's even better than that, ...set in North Africa during WW2 so it's old school weapons & good old fashion killing Ze Germans. I just hoe there's no sequences where you have escape in a vehicle quickly
  5. Ooooh I do like the red roof on that first one.
  6. Not sure I buy into that - unless the company was McClaren or Ferrari and you were an automotive engineer. If you are a middle of the road company and somebody doesnt come with a compelling story as to why they really would want to work for you and havent applied elsewhere it wont land. I was meaning more about the specifics of the role you're going for than the company. I'd much rather have someone who's keen on the job than keen on the company.
  7. I would say A but as per Commander's comment on B, add some LIGHT BS about this one being particularly interesting. Without, you know, sucking them off so to speak.
  8. This week I'm getting paid to drive the Zed to Newcastle and back, my choice of route
  9. Yeah, it fits both the cup holders I've tried and the base can be rotated to make it fatter to fit snugly (there is a minimum girth the cup holder must accommodate) so it's handy if you have one and switch cars or rent something abroad or whatever. If the cup holder is in a shaffle location it's no use at all Due to the premium plastics and weight of the holder plus device, it does squeak sometimes in the Zed.
  10. Yup http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=653250&pn=prod&brand=Nissan&model=350%20Z&year=2005 I use Brodit all the time for our customers. How does it attach to the back of your phone?
  11. I got this cup holder miunt so I don't have to have anything in the way up on the windscreen and more importantly, it doesn't leave any sucker marks on the glass! It's outrageously priced, but I do like it though. Fits my iPhone 6+ no problem nd even my Garmin sat nav. http://www.belkin.com/uk/p/P-F8J168/
  12. Please tell me there's a build thread somewhere for this demonicly horsepowered 350z !
  13. Funnily enough I had a similar experience with the same kit at the weekend, it took quite a bit of pressure and many passes to shift a few very light scratches. I'm starting to think this Nissan paint isn't as soft as I'd feared. I spend half the time terrified I'll cut through into the boot and the rest of my time scratching my head wondering why the defects won't go away I'm going microfibres pads and rubbing compound next time
  14. If he plugs it into iTunes and tries to sync, you may find you get a password prompt on screen. As he's not forgotten the passcode, if it is triggered it might be a way in. If sync doesn't work, hit the manual backup instead and see if that does it.
  15. As if that's a choice! You just don't see mint 240s just knocking about. I'd put the cover on the Porker for now
  16. Without getting into whether or not a day is a reasonable amount of time to make a decision like that, I wonder what it was that he was expecting from it, that it didn't deliver? It's not like the features are a secret and you get it home and find out you can't watch TV on it It is very much a 'terminal' for your phone, all the proper config is done on the phone app and once it's out of bluetooth range, 90% of what's smart about it disappears. Though in my world that means it still works by the printer and on the bog RickyZ From what Coldel's said you can see that it's not going to be something for everyone. I would suggest eyeing it in person but purchasing it online - you should get a "distance selling" 14 day cooling off period then, so you've got a reasonable amount of time to weigh up and you don't even need a reason to return it. No point in selling it 2nd hand if you can have all your money back with no quibbles.
  17. I was thinking about updating this thread the other day but real life crept in. It's my one month anniversary today and my thoughts are: • I love the look and feel of my Watch + Milanese Loop. A few people have commented positively on it (not just fanboys). • Notifications (texts, reminders, calendar, email) are very good for just keeping an eye on, particularly in meetings or if your phone is put away. • Directions are fantastic when on foot. Irritating when you're driving. • Many times I've not noticed my phone ringing (it's usually on silent) but my watch has tapped me on the wrist so I've not missed the call. • The health stuff is mildly interesting, I'm not a keen exerciser so I can't compare it to dedicated fitness stuff, but the nags every hour to get up and move around are an interesting idea. I can see how a person might get into trying to hit the 3 goals that it monitors for you each day. • Battery life is good compared to what I expected. I expected to charge it nightly, but it can just about manage 2 days (currently on 84% at 3:20pm). • It's mildly useful that you can control media playback on it (Apple TV and iTunes etc). On the flip side, it's a wedge of cash but I'd rather drop £600 on this than a "proper" watch which doesn't do anything except date/time/look pretty - this is obviously hugely subjective. Not quite figured out what the killer app will be, notifications are definitely my favourite thing. If you love gadgets and have the money, it's good fun and a taste of the future. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have the cash and are saving up for it to change your life.
  18. Like you I developed this well after my formative years, no idea why. I used the 'other' one to loratadine (forget the name) for ages, with no effect. Switched to loratadine and they worked effectively, so defo worth trying other chemicals. Failing that... There's a rumour SMD does a range of masks too, but I'm not sure how medicinal they are
  19. I picked up the same mitt from Halfords a few months ago, first used it yesterday/today. Based on the comments on this thread, instead of clay lube, I used it with a 20L bucket half filled and about 3x the normal amount of shampoo I would use for a full bucket. I also put a similar concentration of shampoo and water into a hand held pump spray so I could get liquid down with one hand and mitt with the other. I did manage to install some scratches with it, but apparently that was down to me being a tit and not breaking the thing in on the glass. The scratches were only on the first section I worked and with some effort were mostly removed with a DA this afternoon. The shampoo / water combo worked great as a lubricant and the mitt did a good job. I found it VERY unnerving to use at first, the noise on the first few passes was pant browning, but it soon disappeared and left a nicely clean surface. As you mention, one or two tar spots persisted. Versus clay, it's so much quicker to work with it's untrue. The mitt didn't exactly hold my hand very well, but I never dropped it. I'm more sold on the concept that I was yesterday, but I think I might splash out on another clay mitt/cloth and leave this one for relatives' cars
  20. Stutopia

    GT-Four

Great repait, looks flawless. Regarding the lip, as what GM says, it's such a fine example of an uncommon car, I'd be tempted to leave it as is.
  21. Perhaps just loosen the cap a lot? I did cap off and there was some mess to clean up in the bay afterwards!
  22. If the pump is being driven harder than usual, premature wear/failure might be a longer term issue. I switched in a shiny one and it made a nasty whine. I tried varying fluid levels, tried leaving the lid a few screws short of tight to let air move in and out. In the end I gave up and went back to stock with a lick of paint on it. Is it baffled? I can't remember if the OEM one has a bit in the bottom to stop it cavitating.
