  1. This popped up on my faceballz. Looks proppa sick
  2. Oooooh, always fancied one but too scared of the engine bills...
  3. In for the build, this should be ace!
  4. Close. I rang the concierge and asked for an extra pillow I only moved it enough for the photo and to put a tiny pin hole in each of the nodders
  5. Working away for a few days, just checked in to the hotel in Durham, checked out the mini bar. Have mini bars change a lot in the last few years? Vodka ✔️ Whisky ✔️ Gin ✔️ Mixers ✔️ Nuts ✔️ Sex lube??? Err. ✔️ Ever found anything unexpected in a hotel room? PS - can anyone recommend a budget escort service round here
  6. If I knew how to use spanners I might be the same, but I can do way less damage with a lambswool mitt
  7. How dare you! Everyone knows silver is simply a vegetarian GM
  8. Well, clearly I couldn't agree with me more In the spirit of sharing a few of my favourite goodies:
  9. +1 for podcasts, Football Weekly (for footy fans) Smoking Tire for gearheads (it's in yankee) AMMO NYC (for detailing). I also carry two tubs of octane booster in case of going off the reservation.
  10. FTFY. If they need a fridge or a dog eating, they'll maybe give Samsung a call.
  11. Glad they sorted out that giant aerial at the same time Looks stunning mate, beautiful Z.
  12. If I was a betting man, I'd guess they'll be teaming up with someone else who already makes cars and then bolting stuff on for autonomy. Merits of EVs aside (I think there's a thread somewhere on it ) these things are the future and apple makes a fortune marking up on quality hardware as it is, so it's a natural progression for an outfit with more cash reserves than, well, anyone!
  13. In addition to the sensible stuff already, when you do look underneath, may as well check the aftermarket exhaust clears the big W brace. Mine was touching it for a little while and made a racket at lower revs.
  14. I put Michelin Alpin PA4s (I think there's a PA5 on the way?) on last winter, they were very capable throughout, but I didn't get a chance for the ultimate test of snow, just cold and a fair bit of heavy rain on a eur jaunt. TBH I wouldn't go to the trouble of refitting them this winter (unless it gets bleak) as the MPSS feel winter capable to me (I'm not trying to start a winter rubber debate) and I do carry emergency snow socks and drive a lot less heavy footed in the cold but if I do by some wheels and keep the Rays, I'd do the swap.
  15. Area under the line, low down, looks like a great improvement.
  16. I can't wait to see the build thread as it will be exciting new territory but I do think if the brain overuled the heart, Octet's on the money, use it to get a '70 and they've done the NA build for you (with a decent R&D budget too!) and they chuck in a better interior for free!
  17. Shame it was BMW and not one of those Beetles he likes.

    Help

Pretty sure your thinking of the other one which is a solid metal bloc thats suspended from two brackets that wobbles etc. Located by the spare wheel. The one in the photo above seems to be just a boot counter weight. Mine has been removed resulting in a lighter boot to open etc. I thought the wobbly one was for roadsters and the boot one for coupes. My coupe doesn't have a wobbler. I could easily be mistaken though.
  19. I've used them but like yourself and GM I found it was better to seek out the bulb you want than rely on the plate checker.
  20. You're on fire on this thread mate, keep 'em coming. End of subject.

    Help

Up until recently I thought it was just a weight, but I'm sure I read a post on a corresponding roadster part where Zmanalex dug out some info on how it dampens vibrations. I whipped mine out to try and deal with crap boot pop and insufficiently stiff boot struts.
  22. I was a drive thru car wash user until I got the Zed a couple of years ago and started to learn about washing with care. I have learnt tons from watching lots of short vids, but I think this pulls all the basics into one place and minimises the need for reading lots of guides/threads on day 1. Regular readers will know I'm a fan of AMMO vids/products, I know detailing provokes lots of different opinions on different techniques and different products, but I honestly think most people would agree that if you can follow the simple steps outlined in this video and experiment with any half decent products, you'll be able to keep your paint spot on with minimal fuss. It's kind of long, but it only needs one watch really to absorb the messages. I wish this was made when I started to learn, as it basically is the regular wash I've gotten into a routine of doing. This is a wash only vid, it's not correction or anything advanced, personally, I think it's worth a sticky in the detailing forum (do you?) as it's something that pops up semi-regularly. If people could please post up a couple of their favouritst, 5 star products and the jobs they use them for, it could be a heck of a resource.
  23. I've been quite impressed by the data logging on Dash Command and being able to export to CSV
