    Mixing Tyres

+1 I wouldn't put wrong profile on the fronts for the sake of a week with the old ones on.
  3. I normally wait to put mods on The Shark before I post pics, but i was so excited about this lot that I just had to post 'em up box fresh. Big thanks to Ricey @ Revolve for doing the honours First up were some carbon dipped kick plates, fancied a change from my ally ones. Love the shiny carbony goodness But my favourite (and possibly controversial) piece is the engine cover in Skater Girl Well pleased with the work and no sign of a bill yet either, so even better
  4. Hand built in Britain versus Made In Japan, I'd keep the GTR just in case!
  5. I never get the comments "there are bad drivers too". Of course there are, we have threads about them all over the place too, no one puts in a bad driver thread, "don't forget there are bad airline pilots too". There's bad pedestrians, bad unicyclists, bad bikers, bad horse riders, bad passengers. In fact in almost every method of movement there are bad
  6. http://m.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/crime/danger-cyclist-guilty-of-hitting-girl-3-on-path-1-7387745 £839 in fines and costs Would the punishment be the same for driving on a pavement and doing the same?
  7. A cooling/slam panel? Not seen any stainless ones, there's plenty of carbon out there and ally, Steve @ Redline does one in ally. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73479-redline-styling-350z-cooling-plate-03-06-special-offer-15-off/ Fleabay maybe if you have your heart on stainless?
  8. They're way less abusive with a snapped broom handle jammed in the front spokes.
  9. Pictures are perfect, we love big pics
  10. Fantastic pics There's just something magical about Spitfire design I believe they did it to halt the rise of mindless right wing lunatics, hell bent on domination and oppression of other people, for no reason other than them being of a different country, race or religion. Well yes and thank god they did. But I'm sure the individual at the time fought for Britain and what it meant to be British. If they'd have known how it'd turn out 75 years down the line I doubt they'd have been as solid in their convictions. They were a bit a mongrel bunch themselves - Poles, Australians, South Africans, Kiwis, Canadians, Czechs, French, Belgian, Irish etc I don't think nationality plays a part, it was about doing what was right in the face of what was obviously so wrong.

  12. Reading on here, the throttle body clean on the DE is no big drama but the HR has the potential to make the ECU go bananas. MAF is delicate, copy what someone else on here has done before without breaking it . I'd personally disconnect the battery and pump the brakes a few times before touching any of it, but some people like to live more dangerously. There's a load of threads on this, copy this into google and fill your boots - site:350z-uk.com clean throttle body DISCLAIMER - you breaking anything is nothing to do with me, for info only here!
  13. Just been to Durham and back, 280 miles. 160m cross country A-roads and 120m legal motorway speeds - 28mpg according to the machine. More than enough, given the fun that was had on the A road sections. Worth 13 fewer MPG any day
  14. In theory you've got about a 1.2 seconds less 0-62 (5.9 on a DE v 7.1 in a scirocco - both alleged on autotrader). You've got an extra 76 bhp (assuming an 11 year old Zed hasn't lost any over the years, which it will) and you're also lugging circa 200kg more about. The mods won't count for anything unless it's been UpRev'd. On top of that he's got a modern auto, which probably shifts faster than a manual Zed (anyone?) and may even get off the line better (inertia?), unless you're dumping the clutch with the TCS off and keep wheel spin to a minimum. Sounds about right to me If you could find somewhere legal and safe, you might have more luck from 60-122, than 0-62.
  15. Tremenous amount of work your putting into this show
  16. TBF it's not my first time, I got started in 1994 with a Classic II
  17. Superior choice there Stu. The best thing about Cipher is that UpRev claim it uses Nissan proprietary protocols - meaning faster logging rates and higher res data over generic OBD gadgets. My guess is probably half the reason for it's high cost is royalties to Nissan for access to their protocols. That's cheap, you should see the bill for the MBP you just made me order I hope you're pleased with yourself Chris
  18. Don't about the roadster but in my coupe it's windscreen wash or window down, never both!
  19. Seen ones in Brazil and Colombia, not Japan. I just hope they have really thorough cleaning staff, unlike the peep shows in Amsterdam which I've been told smell awful. I understand some love hotels have a glass toilet door so the Mrs can watch you on the bog. Way to get her in the mood
  20. I did some quick maths, and that means you were 2000 miles away
  21. Looks good, I need something for my wrapped roof. Maybe one for my thread http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/100787-one-stop-guide-for-a-proper-wash/
  22. O darn, maybe I should think bigger Isn't there a v8 lying around somewhere?
