along. My first manly car was the Zed and it's very well behaved if your right foot behaves in the wet. Certainly nothing to worry about unless you do daft things. The lazy torque is the pleasure for 90% of my driving. The traction control will look after you unless you really take the mick. Go for a GT or possibly a fresh import (if you can find one) with all the GT goodies. The cruise control was new to me but it is perfect for the odd motorway cruise where you're just crunching miles and want to keep your speed down and MPG up. I notice all the links you've posted are gumtree, suggest casting the net a bit wider and perusing the Zeds For Sale section on here too. Drive a few if you can. GLWTS

Love the T2s on my Zed from CMS. They look the shizzle and they also stop well cold and hot (if you want that too )

As already said, save your legal bills, sell the car, buy a shed, find an online recipe for humble pie and find some good reasons why you shouldn't lose your licence. A 350GT as a peacemaker? Rear seats for baby, Zed for you. Also you have the luxury of a car designed to have rear seats, so not a huge PITA to get in and out of (not mention if the worse should happen #fire ). If it's more the fuel bills than the number of seats, a 350GT isn't going to help. May as well get a 335D coupe, map it to death and kill three birds with one stone (more seats, diesel, still goes fast). Just try not to look directly at it from the outside
