  1. If someone was giving away new cars under £50k I'd be at the Ford Dealer with a boner for a Mustang. If someone was giving away £50k in hard cash I'd be sniffing round a used Porsche in California, use the change for a 3 month road trip, sell it and come back here and buy a Nismo 370z. Having a chance for a RHD, genuine V8, NA, muscle car in the UK might be something that doesn't happen EVER again. We'll all be listening to the sound of boosted 3 cylinders at the Traffic Light GP before long...
  2. Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm certain he'd be proud of such a stunningly modified Zed, not to mention proud of you for putting it together
  3. If this douche is comparing your Zed to a GT2, be happy. That's quite a compliment
  4. Overweight, underpowered and cheap interior are some justifiable Zed jibes; but I wouldn't have thought the handling was. That's not to say there aren't plenty of better handling cars but for a sporty GT there's plenty to love in an OEM 350z. If it's good enough for Sir Tiff... From 3:00 if you don't want to watch the whole thing!
  5. Got mine from Steve @ Redline http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/58395-genuine-nissan-350z-coupe-cargo-nets-in-stock/
  6. If you're worried mate, get along to a meet and you'll be able to get a run out in a fellow members Zed and someone can have a listen at yours.
  7. Just did the 24 minutes of Le Mans in the Nissan DeltaWing and enjoyed it so much Idecided to take it out for a spin on The Ring 6:21:91 is the fastest on a 3-lap run (there's defo 10 more second out there) So the challenge would be Nordschleife in a DeltaWing + any setup at all; FI, suspension, downforce, racing soft rubber, TCS, ABS, DP, DVDA, you name it Might want to soften up suspension and watch the rear wheels on the kerbs
  8. Ban this filth, ruddy boy racers, they're all the same these Petrolheads, I blame immigration, it wasn't like this when I were a lad, what they need is national service, bring back corporal punishment etc etc All it needs is a little enforcement of current limits. There's miles of UK roads that can be enjoyed within the national speed limit.
  9. I never really thought about wheel weight until the chap at the refurb place spent few minutes telling me how light the Rays are compared to many of the other wheels he'd refurbished. Though in fairness, he sees a lot of footballer's motors so they're probably all 21s off Range Rovers
  10. That's a nice chunk extra, and all the way up.
  11. Shortly after that, there was a similar post where someone had shed the same piece whilst in motion.
  12. Perhaps the title might be of more use than the number of pages in future browsing?
  13. This came off mine when the cobra went on. It was about to fall off anyway! Been off for a good few months now.
  14. Great gift, don't get too used to that lush interior though!
  15. For a non-biased test though, you'd have to not know if the aero was attached or not on each run.
  16. I've been using Garmin too, but my unit's old now so wouldn't recommend it against new kit. What I would say though is I know my next one will need to have a capacitive touchscreen, I'm over the old resistive ones. Also I'd want enough storage to have both UK & Europe and US stored and not have to faff about changing over memory cards for trips away.
  17. How's this epic build been going on all this time and I've totally missed it? Awesome work, subscribed!
  18. "Contains spoilers" gag
  19. I think the magnet fear is something some of us older members might be carrying forward from the past, particularly anyone who stuck one to an old CRT TV or cassette/floppy disk as a youth. Modern flash storage isn't anywhere near as susceptible to "normal" strength magnets like the ones which are strong enough to hold a phone but allow it to be detached with ease. Obviously there's magnets in speakers in your phone or TV straight from the factory and many "official" covers for your phone or tablet that lock it in place or lock the screen when you close it, are magnet based. Disclaimer: if you magnetise your device into a brick, it's not my fault. They're magical and can't be trusted.
