    It's not difficult it's just delicate, my tech used a quick blast of electrical contact cleaner.

    The MAF is delicate, be careful removing and installing and clean using the appropriate process. I'm sure there's a guide on here. FWIW I don't think it will solve the smell of I burnt fuel but it won't hurt, if done correctly.

    Part 2 of my series, Birmingham City Centre hotel tonight for work tomorrow. The car park is mid-renovation so mainly coned off, however this only helps with the reverb. No ears were damaged, apart from my own.

    I looked into this a little while ago, to get a vq in an mx5 you would need to make some extensive modifications to the height of the engine by either dry-sumping or re-designing the plenum. Seems high tech. What about sawing a big hole in the bonnet?
