  1. If you just want to wash it, I'd suggest buying the following basics below - the links are just examples of decent stuff I found in 2 minutes, not "must haves". You will get 20 suggestions for each one of these items if you ask, as it is a very personal thing. 2x decent sized buckets (one for your soapy water and one for rinsing your mitt) like these or bigger http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-clear-wash-bucket-cat3.html 1x wash mitt http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-smoothie-cat3.html A decent dedicated car shampoo http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/car-wash-shampoos/meguiars-gold-class-shampoo/prod_109.html A decent, soft drying towel http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-luxury-drying-towel-cat5.html If you're going mad, also get some wheel woollies for getting in the wheels http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-luxury-spoke-back-woolie-cat4.html Also a third bucket and use it for the wheels only and perhaps even a dedicated wheel cleaner. Get that lot and you're well on your way to clean paint and doing minimal damage during your wash. If you've not got a pressure washer, suggest a sensible starting process might be: Rinse the car off with a hose, shifting any loose dirt Chuck the wash mitt in one bucket and fill with soapy water Fill the other bucket with just water Wash one panel at a time with the soapy mitt Rinse the mitt in your rinse bucket after each panel Soak the mitt in the soapy water bucket Repeat this cycle until every panel and the glass is done - rinsing the mitt after each section. Do, start at the top of the car and work down. Do, rinse the whole car with an open ended hose when you're done washing. Do, dry with your drying towel - not the sunshine Do, the whole thing out of direct sunlight if you can. This avoids it drying too quickly and leaving water spots. If you must do it in the sun, keep rinsing the car as you go round and keep it wet. If you let water and or soap suds dry on the paint, you're just making your own life harder! Your basic wash is now done, but if you go for the wheel woollies, do the wheels first or last, but seperate to your paint. NEVER mix anything that goes on your wheels with anything that goes on your paint, hence the separate wheel bucket and woollies above. NEVER put your paint washmitt in the wheel bucket or on your wheels, the dirt on wheels is metallic and will scratch your paint for fun. Enjoy
  2. There's some favourites in here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/100787-one-stop-guide-for-a-proper-wash/ The Megs stuff is good and the 3 step system is dead easy to get straight into. Detailing sub-forum here too - http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/23-car-detailing/
  3. Colour is stunning and the car's not too shabby either. Congrats
  4. I know what you mean about mixing up your viewing and reading by including foreign sources, and I totally agree, but Russia Today is directly Russian government funded propaganda. They don't even bother to pretend it's not just the media wing of the Kremlin
  5. I'd buy into that argument if I believed savings will go on the NHS (amongst other things) rather than a cut in corporation tax. Also, politicians in Brussels are elected. That's just a flat out lie.
  6. Even if you were to change, wouldn't you go straight into a 3 month probationary period anyway? We weren't keen on them when I was in secured lending. Sit tight and wait for the right job. Good luck.
  7. Tell that to my wife. I've tried, but she makes me wear a ball gag. I'm here all week.
  8. I thought that at first, but then I clocked it twice and thought I'd missed something

Those cockpits do look nice places to be. Shame BMW can't liven up the headunits, they always look so basic. Can't see where your scissors go though?
  10. Fair enough, I'm with you on 30 yr secrecy BS. Totally stinks.
  11. Nice! Looks like the paint's been well looked after.
  12. This is a genuine question. Do you think a UK - US trade deal negotiated by the Tories, known for their love of privatisation and deregulation of markets, would genuinely secure a more favourable deal for the UK, as an individual nation, than as part of the EU block?
  13. Thanks mate, that bit of detail there is useful. I'll drop you a PM. Service history, HPI and MOT checks all look good on one my mate is pretty close to pulling the trigger on up in Aberdeen. He'll be pleased to hear yours was solid. A lot of car he's getting for £5k, it's only done 60k miles and the only obvious problem seems to be kerbed alloys.
  14. Similar topic asking same question - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/99519-camshaft-banks-which-is-which/
  15. More or less the same thing happened to me but it was a warm start fail, rather than coasting, then it took ages to fire up on subsequent starts. I got Nissan sensors from Clark Motorsport and replaced both, not had the issue since. I only did both as it was going in for work anyway and wanted to be proactive on bank 2. In terms of you're question about cleaning it. The failed one looked identical to the replacement when it came out. Nothing to clean off it.
  16. It's been confirmed now as the sound of Nigel Pearson slamming his fists on his desk at the end of Spurs v Chelsea.
  17. Although Rich's topic is a it more specific to a few models, worth a look over there too - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/108025-dash-cam-decisions/
  18. Hi-res is good but it must have a high bit rate as well, as high res, if you want a detailed moving images. Roadhawk out of that lot for me. Big res (but personally I'd go 1080 at 60 over 1296 at 30) and crucially, resolution is supported by a high bit rate (up to 20 Mbps) and it'll take a 512Gb memory card. So you get decent images and a hefty buffer for recording. In the event of the worst, you'd have plenty of footage and ages to get the card out before it loops back round, all in excellent quality. As for the rear, just buy 2!
