Totally agree, the potential risk is huge as more devices join the party, you don't have to be a big Mr Robot fan to realise there's opportunity for exploitation. For the time being I'm limiting my exposure to three LED bulbs and the risk of Chinese hacker invoked disco attack! But it won't be long before there's "my automated house was hacked by next door's teenager!" stories. It's a shame firewall rules are so tedious to implement. -

Yeah, the new techs always have irritatingly opposed and conflicting standards, which ironically hits early adopters hardest, even though they've helped push it on. I wonder if there's standardisation in the pipeline? -
bought some sonax ...wow completely different to simoniz ...if you do anymore than one panel at a time it dries like concrete found this out to my detriment and had to go over with the cheap stuff to get it off. It's grabby as ****. I tend to spritz it on the wet panel and then towel dry as normal to avoid this, you still get nice protection. When it runs out and if you have a pressure washer and want something dead simple to use, with good protection results, forget the QD and go for Gyeon Wet Coat. It works by magic. Edit: I also like EcoTouch Quick Wax - a total doddle to use. https://www.eco-touch.co.uk/collections/car-care-products/products/quick-wax

It's just the boudoir, I usually only go for white, yellow and red, the blue and purple isn't commonly used. -
It tickles me that the collective press spit the dummy when he was playing on snapchat, but then he spits the dummy in the press conference. His salary would be a fraction of what it is if the world's media didn't pay any attention to F1. He's easily the most interesting of them off the tarmac.

I recently picked up some "smart" bulbs and I quite like them. The novelty of being able to assign the three lamps all different colours and define "scenes" is kind of fun. There's the fairly useful timers to wake me up in the morning with a gentle, warm glow. Them switching themselves off automatically when I leave the house and back on when I come home - as a geek, I think it's really cool. I love the Siri integration too Has anyone else dabbled in the smart fad and got any internet of things things in the house? And, crucially, are they any good?

Banking with fingerprint login - good or bad thing ?
Stutopia replied to ATTAK Z's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Thanks, that tells a storey Yeah, one of increasingly unlikely complex processes! They may as well have added, "North Korea could come and clone you from some used bog roll, grow you in an accelerated growth chamber and use you to top up their electric meter from your Barclays account." Nothing is impenetrable, it's about managing your risk. If the effort it takes to do a hack is high and the potential reward to the crim is low, don't worry. You wouldn't refuse to drive your car because you might have a tyre go pop on the motorway. And that's a much more likely occurrence and potentially worse consequence -

So you're in Essex and have an orange car and a positive bank balance, their can't be more than 3 of you! Easy to find -
Banking with fingerprint login - good or bad thing ?
Stutopia replied to ATTAK Z's topic in Off Topic Discussion
If you look at the amount of hacking of private individuals which is done by technical exploits versus social engineering, I'd say (without the benefit of stats) an exploit of your fingerprint is less risky than a password. So I really wouldn't worry about someone exploiting a technical weak spot of fingerprint authentication on your device, so long as you haven't recently lost your finger and device, and you've not bought it second hand where someone potentially could have monkeyed with it. http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/social-engineering-leads-top-10-list-most-popular-hacking-methods-balabit-survey-results-2096149.htm -
I think you'll find with the Bose setup and an aftermarket HU you'll have bigger issues with it being too quiet. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107583-how-to-busters-rca-headunit-volume-fix-guide/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/84472-busters-mod-without-hacking-the-head-unit-harness/

Mine gave up on warm start, it was one of the camshaft position sensors. Replaced them both and it's been spot on since. Touch wood.

It's so manly. All thanks to Donald Trump and his bullying of Ford too. Apparently.

This might seem a bit earlier than usual but we want to start early and be inundated with submissions this year. Hopefully giving you time to get out and shoot some new shots, as well as go through yours from 2016 so far. For 2017 the Team has been decided to tweak the approach and try and get a seasonal Zed theme going, hopefully adding a bit of atmosphere and variety beyond the classic sunny day shots. Think spring lambs leaping across welsh roadside mountains, the autumnal shades of a B road blast, children throwing fireworks at the elderly in November or perhaps the snow in Aberdeen in mid-July. To give everyone the best shot at getting the seasonal Zed theme going and getting an image in one of the calendars, we will take submissions straight away and for the next couple of months. There's still time to plan and shoot your winning image, so get your cameras out We can't make this work without members photos, so please do submit your images as per the rules below: All pictures must be landscape. 6x4 is a helpful aspect ratio, if you prefer me not to crop on your behalf. Amateur pictures only, unless you are the professional photographer. No watermarks. We cannot stress the no watermarks rule strongly enough. High Resolution images only, this is imperative for quality reasons. A maximum of three 2016 photos submitted per member. If you've only got one or two, that's fine too. You may submit a fourth image - IF it is "archive" under the 10th Anniversary theme, please advise which is your anniversary shot. Entries MUST meet the rules or face rejection. Winning photos will be chosen by the Team, there is no forum vote, this keeps it a nice surprise when you get to open the envelope after the inevitable Christmas hangover. 10th Anniversary Special The Desktop Calendar proved popular in 2016, so we are hopeful we can do it again for 2017. This requires many more photos than the wall calendar, so please do get your entries in. As this year marks the a special anniversary, we will accept "archive" submissions for the Desktop Calendar. This is a chance to get out your images over the last 10 years - they must still meet the rules above. There is no need to register your interest for buying calendars just yet, we'll post that up once details emerge, this is just to start submissions nice and early and hopefully inspire you to get out and take some photos. Please PM me for my email address, so you can send me your Zed photos.

Nice! No matter how many laps I do on PlayStation, it looks so fearsome in real life, so little margin! Cool vid -

Should 1 side of the exhaust hang lower than the other?
Stutopia replied to Danznewty's topic in 350Z General
Christ you wouldn't want to catch that on anything when moving at speed! That's crazy low. -
Anyone else think this looks gorgeous???
Stutopia replied to The Bounty Bar Kid's topic in Other Cars
That mechanism must surely be heavy as? Maybe they'll pop some FI in to make up for it? Looks cool though -
