  1. Still no pics? I'm afraid we might have to look into this and take action
  2. Thanks for the tip, not seen this before. This guy Tim makes Mike Brewer seem much less of a tit
  3. Aren't global MX5 sales enough to confirm that a sporty little number needs neither the tyres nor 300bhp to be an enjoyable driver's car? Even though it's cool to write the Toybarus off as underpowered. Not my words Carol, they're the words of Top Gear magazine!
  4. Sounds fit! Let's see these matts
  5. McCall was at Sheffield United, towards the end of his playing career, when I was living in Sheffield and a regular at the Lane. Even when he couldn't run around anymore his composure and passing were superb, he was a different gear at that level and brilliant to watch for anyone who enjoys football from a technical perspective.
  6. This is a little mod I've been meaning to sort for ages. A while back I put in a shiny PAS tank but all it did was make the pump whine and I could never get it just right. The grubby OEM one went back in and has been there ever since. Not to be defeated, I picked up an OEM tank off eBay and sent it off to Ricey to do his dipping and painting magic. I'm delighted to see it in, as it was the last little cosmetic job in my now complete engine bay and it fits in nicely with the rest of the scheme. I'm going to swap out the engine cover when the Zed eventually goes for something duller, this is one mod I will be keeping as a memento, one of my favourites. It always gets a comment when the bonnet is popped. Good to see the forum calendar still getting turned over at my tech's when I went in to investigate some rear end knocking (loose drop link). And in other news, sailed through the MOT
  7. Reasons for relative collapses in both country's teams asides. I was just a fresh face teenager in Euro '96, both the England and Scotland sides of that summer 20 years ago, would've trounced their current counterparts IMO. For me, the 90s was the era which had a great blend of football still having hard b*****ds (Pearce, Hendry) but they couldn't just kick lumps out of the technically gifted (Collins, Gascoigne), with a few players that did a bit of both (McCall, Ince).
  8. Is it just me or do other people find "Crofty" irritating as **** ? He's so cheesy, he talks exclusively in cliches and soundbytes, like a Sun sports headline writer. Boils my wee wee. /rant
  9. I've been looking for a garage for ages (ideally with a house attached!), just watched this the other day as part of my Larry mancrush regime.
  10. Someone's gonna lose to an awful team, not sure if it'll be England or Scotland though
  11. Obamacare gets my bet! http://www.politico.com/story/2016/11/mcconnell-obamacare-repeal-231133 What manner of people have a number one priority to remove healthcare from those who cannot afford it?
  12. I'm with you on the "someone else" theory. It's just a shame that the someone else is just the exact same someone, but literally just making stuff up
  13. I don't usually disagree with you Col but I think this idea of the "elite ruling class" being the issue is nuts, the last two general elections have seen the Tories in. They are the very definition of an elite ruling class. Farage is pure elite ruling class, but with a fag in his mouth and a pint in his hand (least convincing disguise ever ). Trump was born wealthy and is New York elite through and through. All of these elitsits have won their respective votes and appealed to the "working man".
  14. I think you've nailed it there Dan Over 45 white voter mobilisation by Trump (and Farage) is what fired him over the winning line, below this age, he lost heavily. Trump could say what he wanted about Hispanics and Muslims, without it making a jot of difference, even in strong Latino states like Florida. Some of this voter group he engaged are marginalised because over their lifespan it's changed from them being able to speak as they please, without fear of censure, to having to show respect (or at least restraint) to other groups of people. The knock on is it causes some people to wilfully confuse redressing a long standing imbalance, with being oppressed. The "PC Gone Mad" label is just a snappier title for "Bigots Can No Longer Say What They Want". You might hear people saying things like, "you can't sing ba ba black sheep any more" or "you get locked up for saying you're English these days" but everyone knows that these are just inventions, not real. What they're really saying is, "I can't call a Mexican a beaneater anymore" and they don't like it.
  15. If no one wants to be "treated like a fool", doesn't that cover making entirely false promises in order to win, then rescinding them the day after the result?
  16. I like the way you've cleverly made out it's us lot and you're above it, despite posting up, nicely done
  17. Is that not the same as saying, "you know all those things I promised and you liked about me and you voted for? Well, I'm not doing them"
  18. We've entered a new era, one where you can just make catchy promises up on the spot (say a ban on muslims or £350m a week extra for the NHS), with no hope of them ever becoming true, and people apparently just believe it.
  19. A short makes sense but I have absolutely no idea where to start looking!
  20. In nearly 4 years I've never pressed the headlamp washer jet manual squirty button before, but tonight I was investigating my diff in a wet car park, as I reached for the ESP I accidentally pushed it and the customary drenching of the entire front end was accompanied by an illuminated oil light. Is this normal?
  21. Good to see your taking this "do it twice" philosophy seriously
