  1. Lovely Zed, that bonnet bulge has really caught the light and looks mean!! I really need to get one for my car, the prefacelift looks so dated IMO. GLWS, nice bit of kit
  2. I am also a member of 28 Days later, haven't used it much, but must begin now leisure time permits. Studied my Part One degree in Portsmouth, loved the city, I presume the tunnels of Portsdown link with Fort Nelson? Some lovely vaulted routes and tunnels there.
  3. Nice link, potential inspiration http://myscienceacademy.org/2013/04/14/the-33-most-beautiful-abandoned-places-in-the-world/
  4. I have a set of the red GT50's from 'Nuts for wheels', no complaints so far.

    Boot Strip

Decent progress today, carefully removed the carpet, artificial floor, all tools and began with the tar gunk remover. It was all pretty therapeutic, well at least until I reached the tar sound deadening on the arches . This stuff is a nightmare!! I think I will try a quick freeze spray in an attempt to clean up this area, extremely awkward. Apparently it has similar qualities to dry ice. I had a quick go at polishing whilst waiting for the tar gunk remover to soak in. Decided to practice on the tow hook in order to establish which tools I can use for the plenum. Five minutes with this beast and the result was this!! Before After Just need to source the correct pads and I could be on to a winner

    Boot Strip

Hi Guys, I have began stripping the boot area and exposing bare metal etc. This sealant that Nissan appear to apply with their feet, I presume it is sealing the marriage of panels? Looks awful and would like to tidy it up (along with the mess the sound-deadening materials has left behind) but am concerned about its function and how to approach it. A suitable link is provided below illustrating what I am referring to. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/48146-stripped-the-rear-boot-area-out-pics/page__st__20 Also, does anybody have an image of their 'stripped' boot, as I am trying to establish a suitable point of where I can introduce the interior again.....ie what plastic trims to retain etc as I do not want to gut the whole car. Thank you.
  8. One for all you 370 owners.... Serious presence!!
  9. Knew it was coming, wincing through each corner and still wasn't prepared for that!!
  10. Have just spotted this one myself, gingerly driving along London Road West, Batheaston. Lovely looking machine, initially thought it was yours Dave....maybe a new one to the area.
  11. Anybody win it on here?? Chucked in a bid with 10 seconds remaining which wasn't enough and just missed out (by what must have been hundredths of a second) with an increased bid....bloody eBay auctions
  12. That isn't too bad Thanks dude, much appreciated.

    Epic

I usually realise/notice that a figure is going to read but then forget on the day
  14. Hi guys, some of you must have experience with posting a plenum? Any estimations or recollections on postage costs? Thanks
  15. Q. "does the Merc have enough fuel to get to a petrol station or would i need to bring a can" A. "there are a few fumes of diesel left in it but bring a can in case" Q. "Does the car still have its towing eye attachment, or has it been worn out with use?" - Just spat my tea mug of tea everywhere! Brilliant!
  16. Would love to see some examples of your airbrushing
  17. Surprised I have only just seen this, best part of a year old!
  18. I run that tyre size, stretched slightly, and have the hub/PCD adapter you specify, albeit with what I believe to be a 25mm spacer included (seller listed it as a 29mm spacer ). Arches are also rolled to accommodate a pretty low stance. I would try and run a larger tyre on the rear, as mentioned above.
  19. This is terrible news Wasso, it must be so upsetting and frustrating....so much time and care is put into our cars, especially yours! Your 'devil' response as you put it is totally understandable and I believe many of us would have acted in the same manner, I know I certainly would have. Half of me is thankful that you didn't manage to pull him from the car, provoked you clearly would have unleashed a lot of pain and could be facing charges yourself, but the other half wishes you did. This pr**k needs to face the consequences. You will get it sorted and she will come back looking lovely, I just hope the circumstances suit you. Good luck.
