  2. Does anybody have a decent build thread on detailing the engine bay? .....I imagine 'How to Smurfadise a Zed' would be a good start.

  4. I'd be interested in having a browse....do you have a link BBK?
  5. Nice! I love the 370 engine bay and standard brace, really comes alive with the red. Makes the 350z bay look lame!

    370z Akebono

Hi, I sprayed them with hammerite smooth spray, very light thin coats to build the colour, allow each coat to dry and don't rush, I've used this on my last 3 cars, the last was a 911 I had for 4yrs and they still looked as good 3yrs after I sprayed them It doesn't crack or fade I can give you a contact for the akebono decals if you are using them, I was torn between black or white decals Hth Paul You make it sound so simple Paul, they look great, I think I will give it a go. Akebono decals would be super.....oooo black

Looking good Gixxeruk. I have invested in some, Lee has been very helpful. Did you powdercoat/spray yours? I am tempted to do the same, do you know what extra cost I should factor in?
  8. It was actually lower than this when I bought it...crazy to think that I didnt even consider the potential damage to the underside with the previous owner smoking around in it
  9. I used to have mine super low with stretched low profiles, looked sweet but the car wasn't a joy to drive at all. Managed to turn heads for the wrong reasons a few times too (plastic bottles stuck beneath the car whilst driving). Couldn't clear anything!
  10. Nice looking Zed there Joe. Not sure about the Ford hoody

    Smoothed spats

I have been considering the rear of the car for a while now, as the standard bumper rakes too high for my liking and it could do with a respray. I am a sucker for smooth rounded lines which is why I prefer the standard bumpers to most aftermarket products. My only concern with smoothing the spats is its durability and potential 'ghost lines' where the original join is. For example some de-badged cars have a haze around where the badge used to be when viewed from certain angles. I think I'd try it with the other style of spat which is slightly subtler and would flow nicer.
  12. I think I'd go for a classic, something iconic with a great racing pedigree.....The 250 GTO You did mention that 'money was no object'
  13. Gunmetal (or similar) 370z 2010 spotted at the bottom of Bathwick Hill at 9am this morning. It nearly became a cropper due to an incompetent driver! Nice horn
  14. Good for you though Jake, had my eyes on the wheel alone (as you know)
  15. Reminds me of my childhood, constantly requesting for my old man to "drive fast and overtake" - I used to love it. I am sure the chap was driving well within his capabilities.
  16. Bright orange Z33 spotted heading into Bath on the A36 this lunchtime - beautiful colour in the sun Also a 54 plate gunmetal outside of the Pultney Arms
  17. Haha funny read! I must admit that I too thought that Arran resembled his avatar.
