  1. I agree Pete; a carbon bonnet I can accept, but wings are a no no for me. Would love the Brides though, reps do we think?
  2. .......shut up?? Are you pulling my leg Paddy?
  3. Yes I opted for the stainless steel, couldn't quite justify the total outlay for titanium. Hope I don't regret it. Should match Paddy's bolt kit anyhow. Thanks again Greg
  4. Did you buy washers too? Getting pricey
  5. Brilliant, thanks Greg ........oh I presume there isnt a different between JDM (which I have) and UK?
  6. Go on then put me down for the 350z DE Y-Pipe (370Ad's fault ). My OEM is shagged and it should tie up nicely with the Scorpion back box and Crapspeed silenced decats.....Hoping for 15% off....come guys great offer
  7. Hi, I want to replace the OEM strut brace bolts, the three that bolt down the feet and the single nut either side. I will probably go for Pro-Bolt. Does anybody know what thread/length I need etc? I have the H-Dev plenum spacer and rings fitted to lift the strut brace. Thanks I
  8. I replied to Premier Park and Gladstones doctoring a template from Pepipoo, an example on here and tailoring to suit my argument (the key facts). I didn't want to ignore potential solicitor letters so decided that a response was needed, even though the letter is riddled with errors. I identified that I wasn't in possession of the car (ie the driver) and in short told them that I would not be paying as it is unjust etc and for them to quash it or provide me with a code to challenge it. I am happy to go to court (which I don't think it will come to) as I believe I am completely innocent. If I am torn to shreds in court and do have to pay at least I know that I am in the wrong, gave it ago and wasn't bullied into paying. As I understand it as long as you pay the charge dictated by the courts then a CCJ will not happen. Do what you personally think is best as everybody has different opinions. That way at least you are happy with the way you acted. Btw I am still awaiting a response from them almost two weeks later and have a final draft to send back them. The buggers!!
  9. You could leave it as it currently looks sweet, although I think a polished plenum and carbon battery/fluid covers would enhance the aesthetics even further. The carbon would tie in with you engine cover and the polished plenum would predominantly reflect the colour scheme you have whilst providing added bling.... no brainer IMO. Polished tanks would continue the polished theme if you decide to roll with it...Weapon R dare I say it...
  10. So I am considering sending both the plenum and throttle body off to be polished, although I am slightly concerned regarding the TB. I have read that it can be very delicate and temperamental, especially the butterfly valve. I am confident that the person carrying out the work is more than capable; it’s just the part in transit and the initial removal and re- installation. I know that many of you have removed, cleaned, re-sprayed and even polished the TB. Did you have any issues? If so does the simple pedal dance and/or disconnection of the battery resolve any foreseeable issues? Thanks
  11. Another minor addition; When fitting I noticed that the plenum was caked in moisture? Pretty sure all the rubber seals are back in place. I did notice before removing parts that the plenum had water marks all over it? Any ideas? Thanks
  12. Watched it this morning, gave my old man the heads up as he is currently restoring a lotus twin cam Mk1. Great feature, well worth the watch and I can imagine that it is very nostalgic for many of us on here. Cheers Glrnet
  13. The dampers? Yes carbon ones would be nice. I was using the red one, but decided to opt for the additional one you provided as it was brand new and appeared to have a better design. ie a ram/funnel at the front if the cone that aligns with air feed?
  14. Cheers guys. Mark I am not sure how the bracing would work with the air filter housing and cover. I presume it would have to fit over the top, although it is all pretty cosy.
  15. The slam panel was part of a group buy set up by another forum member; Ironhide. It was great value for money with a huge variety of colour choice.
  16. Very tempting, may have to wait a few weeks. Let's see how long they are up for....
  17. Cheers Gixxeruk, slowly getting there. I still need to tackle the Akebono's when I get a chance. The weeks have flown by since your advice, preoccupied on the bay.
  18. So I managed to escape to the garage today, first drive in the zed for weeks, feels a lot longer as I have probably driven it twice in as many months. The poor girl is filthy, still covered in Saharan dust! Many of the sprayed parts are now on the car and I am happy with the progress/results; Does anybody fancy swapping a shiny blue air filter for a shiny red one With the carbon cover on (who would have thought a blue cone would be lurking beneath) I would have liked the gunmetal elements to be a bit darker, but it is an improvement nonetheless; Apologies for the quality of the phone pics, it does look better in the flesh (but it is no 'Mopedmarky') Next on the agenda (after a good wash) will be to tackle the throttle body and plenum. Polishing both has always been the intention, although a darker contrast between the cover and plenum may now suit.
  19. Great thread. I'm not sure but presume mine will need restoration considering some of the photos on here. Going to give this a go at the weekend, will also have a bash at the plastic cover/grill beneath that houses the wipers.
  20. I agree and am shocked at that price. Pretty much makes no sense to buy second hand (which I did)
