  1. The trees are huge and dwarf the architecture, you can spot them from the other side of Bath! Although they are impressive which is expected being the best part of 200 years old. Historically John Wood didn't envisage them, his vision was a structure based on the colosseum that had very little in the way of nature, in fact he only wanted us to view a natural sky. The landscaping specified was urban and functional; a central reservoir that served the houses and provided them with water. I believe this was hidden under paving. Although decades later the residents decided to fence off a public area generating a central garden that acted as a buffer absorbing noise and dust generated by horse and cart. Now we have five huge trees that some argue should be felled due to honesty, structural issues, the functioning of drainage and visual obstruction. I can see both sides of the argument, but one day I have a feeling they will be pulled down. .....sorry slightly off topic and despite what many of you are thinking....I do not drive the red Tour busses around Bath
  2. She's done 125,000 miles, I do a fair amount of mileage and she doesn't complain. Garaging in town is pricey. I pass your beast on a regular occurance and can't really recall it ever looking tired. I certainly wouldnt have guessed that she has 125,000 on the clock. She looks sweet, I think it is the only red one I have seen in the flesh and you certainly don't come across many with colour coded Brembos, a set of Rotas and Nismo wing. Maybe it just needed a wash? +1 on garaging in Bath! So bloody expensive and like gold dust! Mine is located two miles from where I live and it has taken me an age to even find one that close
  3. Yes I currently have a replica OMP that I am getting shot of and will end up buying a legit OMP as pictured above if I cannot find something else. Don't get me wrong I love them, the issue being how common they are. Generally if you ask somebody to name a deep dish they will mention OMP. Fancied a change, but similar design hence the Nardi Deep Corn.
  4. ..and now you've ruined it for us.
  5. Yes GM I know a quite a few that have owned the Jet and loved it. It's a nice looking steering wheel but I can't imagine it in the cockpit after running a deep dish, it looks so flat lol! I have been tempted by the Nardi Deep Corn although it seems like a design that would feature within a classic/classy car....something traditional. The Personal Neo Grinta is rather nice, although again would take some getting used to aesthetically. Cheers Desey I will have a look into polyurethane
  6. So the Corvette has a Vauxhall engine?
  7. WOW!! Love the wheels too!
  8. Nice!! I often consider the centre consol from beneath the gearstick back and behind the seats....although it sounds expensive. Good work
  9. Oh no this is terrible news, thoughts are with you Matt. Stay strong buddy
  10. Cheers Alex, will give them a go was slightly wary regarding an address but assumed they were legit.
  11. Hi, Does anybody have any experience with Amber Performance? Recommended by Samco for their hose kit. Thanks
  12. +1 put these on my zed and they were pants! Poor fit and creaked from the outset. Wouldn't recommend them at all
  13. Hi Guys, I am after a new aftermarket steering wheel. I currently run a Suede deep dish OMP rep will seems strong and suitable although I would like the real thing. The one complaint that I do have with suede is that it ends up filthy and requires a wash every so often. However I do like the look and feel despite its durability. Has anybody changed from suede to leather if so what are their thoughts and are there any other suggestions as to what wheel to go for? £150 budget. Thanks
  14. +1 I gave it ago on PS and it looked pants, Its pretty tough trying to change from black to silver without spending quite a bit of time on it as you need to add materials rather than colour.
  15. Mrs Buster got pulled in my zed last year and received a £100 fine for a 3/4 plate on the front.....your better off not running with one.....at least you can thank the plod and say i ll get it sort, must of fallen off lol Bold Buster I've been driving with no front plate for couple months now. No stops yet +1 Took mine off May 2013 and have been ok so far. Although I rarely drive the thing. It will cost me £100 one day, but I can't bring myself to ruin my smooth and spotless bumper.
  16. Ah yes Chris yours is the beast I was thinking of. Great work. Blows my little tasks out of the water....proper project
  17. Go for it Chris, it's great fun and pretty rewarding. Am I right in thinking in thinking your zed is charged? 14N I think I will go for grey conduit but need to establish what dims I require and what's covering what as fiddling with electronics can cause all sorts of issues!!
  18. Ready for atleast another week of hibernation after an enjoyable 50 mile blast; One of the daily drivers awaiting my return....the PUKe mobile (oh joy!)
  19. Thanks GM, I can't believe how addictive it is! I'm not looking forward to the conduit stage!!
  20. Decided to carry out a little more to the bay this weekend which included the addition of colour coded nuts/washers for the engine cover courtesy of Pro-Bolt, braided hose-sleeves with anodised finishers, hose clamps and carbon bonnet lifters thanks to 14N. Minor additions that help to reinforce the colour scheme. I started by measuring the circumference all of desired hoses and then calculating the diameters of each based on those figures. Each braided sleeve came in 1m lengths which enabled me to cover a few OEM hoses. Pretty simple really; measure them up, cut through using a junior hacksaw and tidied up afterwards using insulation tape and hose finishers. I knew these would come in handy one day; bought from Almeida a while back. Cocked up refitting this one. It was left off the car for a while as I didnt have a large enough finishers, after receiving the correct jubilee clip I decided to fit it around the wrong way! This became apparent after trying to press the brake pedal . Quick phone call to the old man and I discovered that it has a one way valve . I also noticed that the engine cover was warping and after close inspection I decided that something was stuck beneath it. Turned out to be the new bolt kit siting proud, therefore I removed the four that were concealed by the engine cover and re-installed the Horsham bolts as they sat lower allowing me to relocate the extra four around the engine bay. Win win. Hose clips fitted to regiment its position, bonnet stay removed as it is now surplus to requirements and fixing covered using a left over bolt and washer; Managed to fit the bonnet lifters with ease thanks to CS2000's fool proof write up and 14N's tips. It was a bit of a squeeze refitting the red battery/brake fluid surrounds, but managed it. Nice addition, found myself repeatedly opening and closing the bonnet and watching it slowly lift......witchcraft Next on the list; Grey Samco Hose Kit Weapon R Coolant reservoir Catch Can?? I am also going to try and twist my old man's arm into helping me fit the Akebono's that have been sat gathering dust for the last six months or so.
  21. Love the Midnight Purple R33 GTR......maybe one day.
