  1. The traffic in Farnham was pretty bad yesterday, but a side effect meant such a slow drive by down in Wrecclesham from the Le Mans blue 370 that a smile, wave and a chance to admire what a gorgeous colour that is! Shortly after, in Dora's Green Lane I passed and got a wave from a fancy looking Nismo 370z At about half five that evening, a black 370 with a F* FLE plate caught up with me on the M4 after the Theale/Calcot junction. Big smile and wave from the blonde driver, which was nice! So, there you have it Zed drivers are a nice bunch. A friendly wave never happened when I had a Porsche, or an MX-5 for that matter!
  2. I went for the T3 because they were in stock at Horsham, and I'm impatient.
  3. Just serviced my car, and found the discs almost completely dead so today I have the Ferodo DS2500 pads and DBA T3 discs. Will report back on how they bed in.
  4. 😎 Badshot Lea sounds like something you'd hear in a tennis club! We should sort something out. All a bit busy at the moment but definitely soon.
  5. Marginally less boring update: MPSS tyres are mental! So much grip! I gave them a bit of a workout over the last few days and I have to say I'm impressed.
  6. Yes. They're definitely a good idea, but I've run out of enthusiasm for modifying my car further—too much faffing, so I'm driving it instead.
  7. Haha funny! No offence, but I'm friendly and usually wave Adam: "awks!" Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Boring status update: new MPSS tyres all round. A few hundred miles in and initial impressions are good. Slightly more comfort, definitely more dry grip, not had much wet weather yet. All of this is marginal. Standard sizes… there's enough rolling and unsprung mass already. They're definitely quieter than the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta that was there before.
  9. I think a Farnham meet is a good idea! Who else is local? I'm usually around Wrecclesham, the middle of town or Crondall, easy to spot 'cos you'll hear me before you see me! RAAAWRRRR!
  10. I've seen a Le Mans blue 370 around Farnham a few times too.
  11. First thing, I left work early and some school kids shouted "I love your car" in Newbury… ahh! Having not seen any other zeds out for a while I passed two on Hatch Lane, Old Basing yesterday: a Chilli Red convertible 350, blanked me. I thought "grumpy git" then a Ginger 350 came past moments later who's driver flashed and waved. This morning a friendly flash on School Hill, Wrecclesham (Farnham) from the driver of a Le Mans Blue 370. A pointless exercise, all in, but it is nice to see other zeds about.

    Ark Grip

    Awesomeness! Best sounding exhaust IMO
  13. Might have had a little session of "show me yours I'll show you mine". Supercharged Zeds are amazing!
  14. Quaife is perfect IMHO. Quiet, maintenance free and has made the car super controllable. I understand that a plated diff will be better for track use, but for everyday use, and even some track work you can't go wrong with the Quaife. Horsham Dev. knows how to fit them, having had a go on my car. No issues. More info on my car's blog, link in sig. Dominic.
  15. I'd go with a dark grey, to match the wheels. My (stock) bumper is painted to match the grey of the GT Edition / Rays wheels. Seems to be the same colour as Adam's car so may be a stock colour. Here's a dodgy mockup
  16. A couple of days and a few hundred miles later in our great British summer! Built Hamber on the left, Klasse on the right again.

Tyres - XL and non XL

I was wondering the exact same question. Seems not to be an issue.
  18. Awesome — £50 cheaper than Camskill, at £600 and a bit. Strangely I cannot find the non XL versions for the fronts but I don't think this really matters, adds a few quid. My car has the standard 19" wheels that came with the GT Edition, 245/40 R19 front and 275/35 R19 rear.
  19. Just a thought — the Racelogic TCM would make the car safer to let the Mrs. drive in the wet, right? How much is it? Need tyres first. Found some MPSS all round for £650-ish.
  20. Just found this thread. Looking like a great product Adrian. I've an idea for consideration — air guides for the brakes, like how Hiroshi Tamura did on his R32: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-japanesecars/nissans-mr-gt-r-ph-meets/29582
  21. Yesterday morning I decided to enjoy the weather and give my car a proper clean, first time in ages. Usually it gets a two-bucket wash with AG shampoo, a light dry off and a going over with AG Quick Wax. Quick but not brilliant. When I have time, I wash, rinse, check for tar etc and clay as necessary with Bilt Hamber Labs. Auto Clay. Cleanse using AG HD cleanser, Bilt-Hamber Finis Wax. Job done. Wheels with BH auto wheel (great product). My neighbour was singing the praises of Klasse products, and suggested I give them a try so being me: I've done the driver's side in my usual way, and the passenger side in Klasse products (all in one, then sealant glaze). I just took these photos of the roof on each side after a spot of rain this morning. L: Bilt Hamber. R: Klasse. I wonder how they'll hold up to the great British summer.

    burble

Nic he's got an auto - I understand it is harder to make them pop. Mine popped on the standard exhaust + decats, it's just better with the posh system. It didn't pop at all before the torque tables were fettled with.

    burble

Mine burbles at idle and pops on over-run (even on the auto). I have the Motordyne art pipes and Ark GRiP system. I was told that an auto will never pop on overrun, but the torque tables plus map which errs on the side of richness seems to sort that out. To make mine pop is simple: hot exhaust, hold the revs high (about 3.5k or so) and just lightly go on and off the throttle. Pops every time. I suspect this might have a lot to do with the stiffer shifting from the torque management tables update in UpRev for the supercharger however.
