  1. By the way Merrow Tyre and Alignment on Dogflud Way are very good for wheels and tyres. I use them for both cars.
  2. Nice! Are you local to Farnham then? I live there.
  3. Thank you all for the helpful replies - so good to be part of an enthusiastic community! My car knowledge is mostly theory so I'm in at the deep end with a heavily modified car. All very appreciated. Happy new year!
  4. Ok so the simplest thing and the car is working again. Foot on brake, other foot on gas, press the starter button and RRRRAAAAWMNNMMburbleburbleburble! It sounded a bit flooded. Anyway, next time I'll give it some gas for my next attempt if it is hiccuping. I've to take the car up to Simon Norris soon to look at some of the small fuelling issues I've reported (light load pinking when hot), and this cold weather thing. Phew!
  5. Wow! Thank you - I've screen grab that.
  6. That's good, as I'm a terrible dancer. All legs and arms everywhere.
  7. Battery is original. Car made in mid 2012, just up to 38k miles.
  8. The ECU failed (stopped sending a spark to one cyl) after the tuning work and was repaired, Si Norris handled it all for me: It was sent away for repair and once back in, he adjusted the tune a little and it has been fabulous until today. Just a couple of hiccups on cold days.
  9. OBD code reader shows no faults. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge. On pre-ignition the battery meter shows 11.9v
  10. Thanks chaps. You can hear the fuel pump as it's fairly noisy compared to stock. I'll have a go at converting the vid to YouTube. Let's try the jump start bit first. Bah! Things I can do without... :-/
  11. Some details I last drove it on the 24th, until when it was fine. It sat over Christmas until the 30th. The battery was a little low so I started it and drove about for about fifteen minutes. I've driven it for a few short journeys yesterday. It has had a hiccup starting in the cold before but never not started, this is the first time it's failed to start. Thanks in advance.
  12. Here is the video - https://www.dropbox.com/s/c0tqyd3nep5el59/Video%2031-12-2014%2011%2051%2012.mov?dl=0
  13. Hello people, My 370 isn't starting after four attempts and a cold night. It's been sat for a while but I've given it a couple of drives about to get the battery going, was fine last night. Take a look/listen to the video, I would be very grateful for any suggestions. It now smells of fuel :-/
  14. Hey, welcome! Yeah just let me know. I'm not back at Newbury until 5th Jan now. Norris has an impressive setup. The engine dyno is cool but the 4WD rolling road is even better - last time I visited he was testing the noisiest Evo I have ever been near. The ground was shaking! Nice guy. The GT edition is a good balance of looks and flashy.
  15. Supercharge! Best bang for the buck I've ever spent Welcome!
  16. Ah yes: that would do it! Reggie is quite quick. That was 4th gear with some tyre slippage. In 3rd it is unbelievable, but the roads were too wet! Heheh!
  17. I agree. We do sometimes get a bit lost in the moment but for the most part I've only seen other drivers being considerate. Part of what makes owning a 'Z is the generally nice reaction from other road users. When I had a Cayman S, I was shocked at how rude and aggressive other drivers were towards me, but I didn't drive the thing any differently to the RX-8 I had before it.
  18. I'm booked till mid Feb. Work is utterly crazy, plus our wedding at the end of Jan. Never done a 'meet' before. Once went to a big VXR thing at the BTCC with a mate in that world, wasn't that interested at the time. Now I have a car that's not standard, and a bit of a passion I'm my interested to see what others have done. Share the knowledge and all that. Plus: loud, fast cars FTW!
  19. A little bit lovely in black! It's not entirely off topic. I have this crazy idea about painting my 'z in a flat mid-tone like Nardo Grey (an Audi colour) or a mid flat blue with dark grey accents, subtle... Not shouty.
  20. Winter. White. Bah!!! Auto Wheel from Bilt Hamber makes for blood red wheels. By the time I'd finished cleaning Reggie it was too dark to tell if I'd finished cleaning...
