  1. That's a Boxster S. Same colour scheme as Reggie, coincidentally. I've dropped mine off at a bodyshop for repairs to the fascia.
  2. Hahaha. To be fair it is a crop from a photo of the sky and trees, plus it hides just how dirty the car was at the time!
  3. Damned sexy silhouette. The 'z is a great looking car.
  4. Hey mate! Saw you in the traffic on two occasions that week - meant to post and ask as I thought I recognised your plate. Will keep my eyes peeled! Bit tied up with moving house things and more so haven't been very active on here. Most days I come back from Newbury via the M4, A33 unless the traffic is screwed in which case I go south then up the M3.
  5. The confusion comes from the fact that there's three Quaife diffs for the 350z, to replace those on 6MT Open; 6MT VLSD; 5AT Open. There was no 5MT VLSD model. Now the incompatibility comes from the different sized ring gear and the offset required for the half shafts - we 370z 7AT owners require this 'missing' option, and the best option is to go with the 5AT open model and change/mod your half shafts. The model numbers and diagrams are on my write up. Hope this helps. I think shafts are not required if you have a manual transmission.
  6. I believe for the auto its a better fit than cutting the stock ones down , dunno for the manual If by better fit you mean "doesn't just fall out because it's not retained" then yes, you need the part. That's what happened when the cutting option was tried.
  7. Yes, you need a set of Nissan part number: 38220-AR010 (for non LSD) one for each side, plus some bolts as the 350 is bolt + nuts and the 370 is threaded holes.
  8. These are my old ones, one of which was cut it down:
  9. Sorry - I'll clarify that: it was not possible to cut the shafts down from my car. It may be possible with others. However it was not expensive to buy new ones that fit perfectly.
  10. It was not possible to cut the shafts down to length, as some have suggested. There are some retaining clip rings that just don't engage when this is done (ask me how I know... In other news I have some lovely half-shaft door stops!) Not everything is required in the fitting kit that I purchased. I think they used only the seals. I still have the pinion carrier bearings.
  11. If you've got the VLSD and Auto, this is the one combo that you can't just fit without additional work and parts. Jez at Horsham Dev sorted mine out. Needed new half shafts from a 350z non VLSD. Details here http://370zgt.tumblr.com/post/117029240691/new-half-shafts-for-the-quaife-diff-the-vlsd-on
  12. Here you go Nic: 2x K&N RU-1460 air filters. Mine more dirty on one side than the other but could use a clean. And the worlds fastest coffee grinder just levelled up with a new sticker I found in the box! That's a modified (of course) Mazzer Super Jolly grinder. I converted it to single dose, and gave it a service. Damned good machine.
  13. I'll take a pic of them later. They were caked in mud! I guess too much of this weather hasn't helped…
  14. Boring update time: 50,500 miles and half of that with the supercharger: 25k miles and 18 months in, all going well. I visited Horsham Developments today for an oil change (6l of 5w-40), fixed the knocking noisy droplink that had become loose, new Ferodo DS2500 pads for the rear, replaced both K&N air filter cones with new. I'll clean the old K&N's and alternate them yearly. Spotted a pimped blue 370z supercharged on bags and with lots of stretch in the shop, and Jez' TT build is looking good!
  15. Hi, You'll likely have seen from my build thread that this is an excellent cooler, but which I couldn't use with my supercharged setup (and self-imposed constraint of keeping the stock fascia and crash bar in place). I bought it from Adam (370ad) 9 months ago as new. It was fitted to my car by Horsham Developments 17/04/2015 on and driven for a couple of thousand miles before I realised that it would have to come off to fix the heat issues with my supercharger. A superb cooler, get a nice bargain. Includes what you see. Rad, lines, sandwich plate with the standard temp thermostat (93 degrees or so). Details here http://m.mishimoto.co.uk/09-nissan-370z-08-infiniti-g37-oil-cooler-kit.html £180 delivered, £160 collected from Farnham, GU9 (or RG14, Newbury).
  16. Did you ever see Colin Furze's biscuit engineering video? The nutter turned down his biscuits on a lathe so they fit in his mug for a dunk —
  17. This is nothing, I only share the less weird ideas I have. It's nuts up there in my head.
  18. I reckon a machine polisher and some fine grit paper will give a smooth result here!
  19. I saw a black 370z parked up on a driveway near the William Cobbet / The Lamb.
  20. I have a whole stash of random Nissan parts. One day I'll get around to selling them! The result with this method is an improvement!
  21. Too tight to buy a turntable to help with icing your Christmas cake? No problem! Go to the garage and find your spare Genuine Nissan BRG PINION GEAR 38120-EC000. Non slip mat and a drinks tray: job done! In other news: royal icing is a massive faff to apply.
  22. Lovely car! Though I must say I'm struggling with this concept of "goes away for winter?" Stick some winters on it and keep on rolling!
