  2. @mister boarder from 1981 - not yet, Reggie's in on Tuesday after Easter Monday... Err, the 7th! I'm tempted to get this frozen boost cooler myself, as I have shared in the past that once the engine is warm it pings very lightly at light load (disappears under throttle). More cooling is good imho.
  3. Thanks Mark. Stone cold tonight, but noticed the head damage before I tried.
  4. this is a 3/16" Allen head. I'm told that a 5mm is only 0.24mm larger so could tap that in with a small hammer to see if it grips.
  5. I have the Vortech V-3 supercharger, and I was just reminded to check the lubricant (it's to be checked every 2,500 miles) and found the hex head stripped on the dipstick! It is brass, a soft metal. I can only assume that it happened at the last service when Nissan changed the supercharger fluid, though I can't prove that I guess I'll order a new supercharger dipstick from Vortech but FFS!!! Any ideas how I might remove this? Glue on a spare Allen key and hope for the best? Is there an engineering solution that I could use? Perhaps machine out a larger size hex key in what remains?
  6. Whohoo Nic!! I'm getting Adrian's gearbox on good Friday and the exhaust, cats, sway bars and diff go in at H-Dev on the Tuesday afterwards!
  7. Thanks! I'll have a read up on the forum rules on listing stuff and go ahead from there. No idea on pricing. Maybe 'sensible offers'. Yeah pricing up fairly can be a bit awkward sometimes especially with having to consider postage costs for larger items like the engine covers/air box. Collect+ and MyHermes are your friends! You can get some fairly big stuff sent about for good rates this way. Found them when I was clearing out my house.
  8. Oh cool - does he have a particular interest in breaker parts?
  9. When are you getting yours done? BTW I read in the manual that you shouldn't start the car when the engine block is less than 25F (bloody Americans, they mean -4 C) as the supercharger may seize. See 'important cold weather information'. Hmmmmmm. We've not had a winter that cold here but wowzers. Would need a warm garage or a block heater!

  11. Ps. What to do with all this nonsense? I am never selling the car. Is there a value for OEM air boxes, cats, even injectors and engine covers?
  12. I must admit that I have only just decided to look in my massive mystery box of bits that Norris shipped to me after the Stillen installation. It's been hiding in my garage for a year! Wonder no more: I took some photos of the leftovers — scroll down to the end of my 370z gallery to see them. https://flickr.com/photos/64432813@N00/sets/72157650646579739 I'll update this post with embeds later.
  13. Looks pretty. Tempted myself but I must say, I've had no issues with any of the standard bits that come with the Stillen kit.
  14. Yes. I paid £220 plus fuel, and a bit of tyre wear — this is what my tyres looked like a few months later. Next up: drift lessons
  15. http://www.carlimits.com/script/viewEvents.php?type=airfieldtraining I did it in high summer, it was 34 degrees or so and my tyres took a punishing!
  16. I can recommend the car limits driver training day. I went as a foursome (ooer) and learned so much about how to correct this. Steering technique that lets you find the centre line easily, plus sight lines on cornering, and a bunch of stuff about balance and grip. In terms of money spent vs reward it's the best bang for the buck I've had so far - mostly because I've avoided exactly that in the ice over winter by catching and controlling the slides
  17. Welcome! I'll keep an eye out for you when I visit my folks up in Pickering
  18. I had a major hassle getting a "like for like" car. The 370 is in the same 'category' as a BMW 320d or some such guff, so I politely ranted at the hire company till they agreed to give me a Porsche, they let me down so we switched to another hire company and eventually got the Boxster 2.7 PDK. A diesel taxi as like for like?! So: if they offer you something rubbish, ask them about the way they group the cars because they don't have one of every car in the fleet, and explain that you were promised a like for like meaning you understand you'll be getting a two seat, RWD sports car not a taxi
  19. May I add my recommendation for Adrian too - excellent service! My patient and understanding wife now has this new piece of interior decor until it is fitted to the car: (That's in addition to the other car bits "decorating" the house)
  20. Oh! Cool ask Jez to reply to my email heheh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Sweet looking black 350z, lowered, smoked light cluster, hearty exhaust and a driver with a big hairstyle (I'm almost bald so I'm only jealous).
