  1. I'm only after blue or black

The body kits do nothing for me I'm afraid I'm looking for one stock but wouldn't mind exhaust

Main problem is I want to part x my car

  2. Hi Guys

Just under a year ago I almost bought a zed off a member as the mrs started training it to work so we no longer had to care about mpg in one of the cars. Well since then we have both changed jobs and now its me with the 2 mile commute :)

I am thinking of going making an offer on this GT4 at the weekend

Its up for sale both private and with a dealer but I need a part x so would be using the dealer

Would just like your opinions on it really it looks straight to me, any questions worth me asking the seller in advance? any previous owners on here or anyone know the car? etc

If you go to the dealers website there is around 18 pics on there.

From what I can gather down sides are

*only 5 service stamps even though it should have 7, not overly worried about this considering the low mileage

*doesnt appear to have had a P3 ever so next service will need to be one

*3 owners so I would be the 4th

    Does the exhaust look stock?

    Fair price?

    Many thanks

  3. Cheers for the replies

I'm aware tax is defined by the cut of date what I am really getting it is are there any early 2006 cars which would have the revup engine but be in the lower bracket, or did they all get registered after march?

The reason the mileage will be so low is this will be our second car and its only real purpose (bar being my pride and joy) is to run the mrs to the station and back the one day a week I dont drop her off on my way past, and I dont think she will take to the push iron suggestion :)

I have thought about driving it to work on those days and let her take the other as having it sitting in a train station car park all day doesnt sit well with me either but I have a 60 mile commute. I will probably just do this in the summer months.

  4. Hi

I will soon be in the market for a zed (once I have sold my fn2) and so have been keeping an eye on autotrader, pistonheads, classifieds on here and ebay to get an idea of prices.

Ideally I want a black, blue or bronze gt 2005 or earlier, dont mind buying private and was hoping to get one for around 6k. I dont mind the mileage being a little high (80k) as it will only be used for 4 miles a week and then whenever I fancy a blast.

Do you think I will get one for this price? Seen them go for as little as 5k and as much as 9.5k for very similar cars.

I have seen this black gt4 on ebay

and its pretty much my ideal car, favourite colour, the more powerful engine but with lower tax and that little bit rarer so it might hold its value. However one of the main things that makes this a special edition is the wheels which have gone and also the price seems astronomical to me what do you people think of it?

    Some other questions I have

    * Is the gt4 the only way to get the revup engine without the higher tax?

    * Should the service history run p1, p2, p3, p1, p2 etc as a lot seem to be all p1 with the occasional p3

    * How can I best tell if the clutch is slipping on a test drive?

    * How do tall people find the zed? I'm 6'4 and didnt even fit in an s2000, boxster but the nissan seemed ok

Hopefully you lot wont mind me posting cars for your approval over the next couple of months till I find 'the one'

    Cheers

    Craig
