I remember fitting just bulbs to my RX300 and it had HID for dipped and normal bulbs for main beam and all i did was change the bulb on the main beam to HID bulbs. My son has just changed the bulbs in his Golf Mk4 to HID bulbs...im now confused..!!!
  2. Yes' I know, I hate phone holders on the window, Look like a mini cab driver. Dodgy Rev that's why I fitted hands free..! Could I suppose put a cup in the cup holder and put it in that. :)
  3. Hi Fellow Z'r. I have just paired up my Bluetooth in my Z with my iPhone 4. Just a quick question, I have tried putting my iPhone in the ashtray as I dont smoke, but it gets in the way of gear changing. Any suggestions where to put it that is accessable and not in the way. Thanks. :)
  4. Hi John. Thats good news, wasnt sure if there was another one local as I hadnt seen one, do you know the one I bought, it was owned by Builder49, he called it Marmite...black with gold wheels. Lets keep in touch and have a meet up when the snow clears, only 20 mins from you, or 10 in a Z..!! Cheers. Will.
  5. I just checked the MOT history on mine and it also failed once....! Wont believe why....Mechanic could not open the passenger door so put it down as a faliure...all he had to do was PESS unlock twice on the remote..!!!
  6. sorry just seen its the 11th, should be back by then.
  7. Any idea of the date in May as I may be in Tokyo if its early May, otherwise add Whackywill to the list.
  8. You should change them as a pair. not very safe to just change one..or to just change one brake disk..
  9. You need to fit a Radio Frequency Expander between the radio and the aerial to get all UK stations on a JDM Import, not a big job, expanders are available on eBay or Maplins. Jap Sat Nav or TV will NEVER work in the UK .

Can I not just swop the High Beam bulbs for HID's ?
  11. I'm doing the insurance "thing" at the moment. Sky are only £20 dearer than Admiral but Admiral will also give me a second driver whick Sky wont. So the missus gets free insurance on it...not that she will ever drive it. Quin Direct were only about £10 more than Admiral. Cheapest by £15 over all were Quote me happy...will never use them again, they are a nightmare if you want to change anything on your police as they are only an on line Company owned by Aviva and and Aviva dont want to know. Tip is put on your policy an older driver as the second driver mum dad etc and yourself as main driver this will bring it down. Prestige Insurance are on something....three times the price of everybody else and "wait for it" £3,000 excess...are they sure...!!! Well good luck with your hunt.
  12. If you duy them for the right price you can keep it for a year or two and you wont looose much providing you keep it serviced and looking good, but you will have so much fun you wont want to part with it..stick out for a 350Z GT Uk supplied.
  13. Welcome, The Fairlady will be a JDM (Imported from Japan.) JDM is Jap Domestic Market. The 350Z GT should be a UK supplied car. Hold out for a UK spec car preferably a GT, there is nothing wrong with a JDM Import just tend to be a bit cheaper and less spec.
  14. Welcome AZCRY...Who is your insurance with ?. :welcome:
  15. A Spurs fan watching the Tweenies, Dave...I'm worried ..!!!
  16. Great thanks, as my wheels are the same colour as the calipers and are likely to get curbed at some point.
  17. For £5k you will find a better spec car...I just missed a 2004 UK GT car with 65.000 miles and histrory in blue for £5k so they are out there, just be patient and keep looking and one will pop up. I ended up with a 2006 UK GT.
