I agree Bounty, unfortunatly my son does not know a disc from a pad and they could tell him anything and he would'nt not know if it were true. Its very possible he needs a set of front pads only, and as its coming out of The Bank of Dad...!!

Kwik Fit, will tell you you need new pads all round whether you do or not and then they will tell you you need a new set of shiny discs to go with your new pads, he only a student running his car on a Student Loan. All he may need is a front set of pads.

My mate had his for a week and it got nicked found in Romania.

Hang in there, I felt the same, I was driving from London to Norfolk to view one at 10.30am on a Sat morning having made an appointment with the bloke to see it...he called me when about 20 miles from him and told me he had just sold it... I felt like carrying on and decking him..!!. Looked a few more, and then came along "Miss Marmite" from Builber 49 on here, car was the right price looked good, had been looked after, and was 45 mins from me, so I bought it, there is one out there with your name on it..be patient.

What a shame that happened to you black Zed, could you not buy it back off the insurance company and repair it, Ok it would be classified as a Cat D or C but you then could mod it as you wished and be quids in. You may not get as much for it when you sell it. Like your new Zed, not see another one running on gas.

You bought an 07, UK GT,without any manual ?, If you bought this from a Dealer get him to supply a full pack including an owners manual. Dont know what your adjusting but its not the service intervals...they are set by either the time like once a year or the miles you do, I do a P1 service on mine every 4,000 miles, Change Oil, filter, and check everything else and replace things like brake pads, etc if they need doing...check the Forum for Service Intervals and P1, P2 & P3 servicing. The problem is DICKY that INDY88 cannot even afford to put a new clutch plate so he wants to replace it with a second hand one..Whats your advice on that..??. In an ideal world "which we dont live in" YES you would change both ?? :cold:
