ANOTHER GP IN A COUNTRY WHO HAVEN'T A CLUE ABOUT THE SPORT..!! Bernie Ecclestone says that Azerbaijan could be on the race calendar as early as next year. The sport’s chief executive is holding negotiations over a street circuit race in the capital Baku and thinks it’s possible for 2015. He’s also said that there will be no Indian Grand Prix until at least 2016 as wrangling over tax issues continues

Thanks clockwise, yes I know. Picasa is more user friendly than Photobucket, there must be a way to post from it to the "little green box." Surely the pictures have a URL like so:http://i158.photobuc...zps9c14954c.jpg which would be this vvv - excuse for a pic Nice pic Colin. Yes the Picasa pics have a url which I have copied and pasted to the "little green box", but it tells me "you don't have permission to use that url on the forum" even though its one of my photos from Picasa and not one I downloaded from a web site... Must be an answer somewhere out there ..!!

Dry conditions traction off use 4000 RPM, feed the clutch don't just dump it, keep the revs up.

If I had a burning smell, I would take the fire extinguisher with me and drive slowly to see Ross at Japex, Maybe its just me but last time I had a burning smell the burning smell turned into flames and that was the end of my 911...

An Aussie truckie walks into an outback cafe with a full-grown emu behind him. The waitress asks them for their orders. The truckie says, 'A hamburger, chips and a coke,' and turns to the emu, 'What's yours?' 'Sounds great, I'll have the same,' says the emu. A short time later the waitress returns with the order 'That will be $9.40 please,' and he reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change and pays. The next day, the man and the emu come again and he says, 'A hamburger, chips and a coke.' The emu says, ' Sounds great, I'll have the same.' Again the truckie reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change. This becomes routine until the two enter again. 'The usual?' asks the waitress. 'No, it's Friday night, so I'll have a steak, baked potato and a salad,' says the man.. ' Same for me,' says the emu. Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, 'That will be $32.62.' Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table. The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. 'Excuse me mate, how do you manage to always pull the exact change from your pocket every time?' 'Well, love' says the truckie, 'a few years ago, I was cleaning out the back shed, and found an old lamp. When I cleaned it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there.' 'That's brilliant!' says the waitress. 'Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want, for as long as you live!' 'That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there.' says the man. Still curious the waitress asks, 'What's with the emu?' The truckie pauses, sighs, and answers, 'My second wish was for a tall bird with a big a55 and long legs, who agrees with everything I say...!!

The 2014 BTCC Chat Thread. (British Touring Cars)
WhackyWill replied to WhackyWill's topic in Motorsport & Track Days
Anybody on here going to Donnington on the 18th March. ? In two weeks time, Donington Park will provide the setting to officially kick off the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Held on Tuesday 18th March, fans will be able to gain free admission to the Derbyshire-based circuit from 12:30pm ahead of a full afternoon of testing. The morning of Media Day will be for those press shots of the grid as well as all drivers conducting interviews with the motorsport press. An official grid will be published too, with 31 cars expected to be confirmed – therefore leaving series director Alan Gow one remaining TOCA BTCC Licence to distribute as and when it is needed. With 28 drivers confirmed, there are just three seats on the 2014 grid left with two at Airwaves Racing and one at Exocet Racing up for grabs. One aspect that always causes excitement on launch day is the brand new liveries that will be unveiled for the new season and 2014 is no different. Once the gates are open, there will be an opportunity for fans to wander the pit lane and look at the 2014 NGTC machines up close. It will also provide a chance to see all seven champions together for the first time this season. It is expected that at 13:00 testing will begin for four continuous hours around the National configuration of Donington with both compounds of tyres available to use by all drivers. In the last two years of pre-season testing at Media Day, the driver who topped the timing sheets has then gone onto secure pole position for round one at Brands Hatch – those drivers being Dave Newsham for Team ES Racing in 2012 and Andrew Jordan for Pirtek Racing in 2013. The opening weekend of the 2014 season takes place on the 29/30 March around the Indy configuration of the Kent track. -
Top 20 Most Dangerous Vehicles Hoping to stay safe on the road? You might want to avoid certain cars. For example, the Nissan 350Z has a death rate that’s about double that of the average sports car. But it’s not for the reasons you might think. In this case, says Russ Rader, communications director for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an organization that represents the interests of the insurance industry, the 350Z is part of a group of vehicles that tends to be driven by younger, less experienced or riskier drivers, and stands out for having high death rates, through no particular fault of the car.
