  4. Family car needed then go for an R32 mate
  5. I know its a pain but its time to regroup and wait until you have someone to help you. Judging by what your saying its going to have to come out again. New spigot bearing as a minimum and also have a look at the flywheel and get it fitted correctly. If you see witness marks where metal has rubbed against metal then take some pictures and put them up on here so we can see what the damage is. It would be better to make sure that what you are putting back in is ok as you dont want to be doing it a third time. Its all do-able mate just an inconvieince as you need to wait until your mates are free but take heart its gonna be great when you`ve got it done. It might just cost a couple of quid more on some bits. Hang in there bud
  6. The noises are probably the solid flywheel if thats what you went for. Is the tick over being affected by some sensor cable you left off/pulled off or is there a vacumn hose off or something like that. Once you`ve rested take a step back and just look over everything carefully and check it all looks right. Did the box go back in easily ? In other words did it all line up with the spigot bearing in the flywheel and slip up easily to the back of the engine or did you pull it up by doing up the bolts ? Few things to check and think about. Worse case senario you can take it back out again as you will be surprised how quick it will be second time around as you now know what needs to be taken off. Good luck, dont lose heart. You`ve got this far and every day is a school day mate. Your`ll get there in the end
  7. Put it this way mate....It wont cost you as much as yer woman but will provide you with lots of fun
  8. Here yer go Since their adoption by most manufacturers, primarily for their diesel models, a dual-mass flywheel (DMF) differs from the more conventional ‘solid’ type, by having a flexible damper built within it. Intended to absorb stresses from the engine and transmission, they can fail prematurely, causing a metallic ‘clanking’ sound and/or vibration to be felt at certain engine speeds. It is recommended by many technicians that dual mass flywheels are replaced at every clutch change. Still, excessive clutch slip can put undue stress on the dual-mass flywheel and reduce its operating life. Basically its the springs inside it that wear.
  9. Once all those sleepless nights, constant feeding and nappy changing kicks in along with the love for your child you wont worry about times around the ring.

  11. Its all about overall condition so worth whatever you are prepared to pay. Might be a porker and good quality but they can rot as well. If its been looked after it will be sweeeeeet
  12. Worked on them and driven them back in the day and always luved em. Got to be a manual though. They are a classic now so take that into account.
  13. Used to have a vfr myself and what a great bike once you`ve increased the rear sprocket by two teeth. As long as you keep them above 4k revs they are nice and smooth. Riding a Kwak z1000sx now as i missed that warp factor 9 Mr zulu that a kwak gives.
  14. wheres all the people on here who only get 18 to the gallon and claim anymore than that and your not driving it properly.... they must have a few points between em
