Royal Star Indian at the top purely because they do a Tika masalla like the old days. Its red and not orange which is how i like it.
Over £20 on a takeaway and you get a cheap bottle of wine thrown in.
The insurance company's don't like you insuring a vehicle and not using it as you get no claims bonus without actually doing anything risky.
I`m not saying you cant just that they don`t like it.
You can buy the cheapest car to insure and just keep it in the garage to keep your no claims alive whilst you have a company car but they dont like it as its sort of makes a mockery of their stats.
In other words you could insure a log book if you hold the vin tags but if you tell them that your doing that they wont like it.
You can understand the fear factor from the insurance companies when cars are modded as they will be in the position of having to replace these parts if your vehicle is damaged and that could be cost prohibitive.
A few company`s have probably caught a cold. (Imagine adding alloys to a policy and when they are nicked the insurance company finding out its 3K to replace them) and it would be interesting to know how much uplift there has been on all our policy`s to cover these costs.
Probably would have the same impact as all the whiplash claims and added to cars being written of as a cheaper option to repair.
I appreciate the modded cars and some do look good but when the 350 is 30 years old everyone will want a standard one.
A good rule of thumb is the right hand lane is only used if you are going past 12 o clock on the roundabout. e.g turning right.
Left hand lane for going left or straight on.
If the lanes are marked on the road to say different then i would think you will need photo`s of them to help your case.
Good luck
Had a property since i was 19. (31 years ago)
So yes i have made a few bob along the way on the property ladder after moving a few times
But
Getting divorced knocks a big hole in your plans as you have to either sell up and split the profit or buy her out. Basically you start all over again. This happens more than you think it will.
You can also meet someone else who may come with a few quid from her own situation.
Still done ok and due to move soon from greater london to the south west so will be mortgage free.
Point is all good plans can come unstuck due to divorce etc but can still end up back on track. Just remember.
You have one life and its to be enjoyed.
Dont forget to live
Its always hard when you start off and the rise in prices can boost your ability to move up the ladder if your in a part of the country where houses go up a lot such as greater london.
I know property doesn`t rise as fast as this everywhere else.
I started here and then went to dorset for a few years and then came back (which was hard) and am now looking at going south west again.
One thing for certain is the prices always go up in the end.
Life is a challenge and all that is thrown at us can affect us in different ways.
Its a difficult time but you are not alone and support is all around just reach out as you have done and it will be there.
Not sure what you do but have you considered joining forces with your dad and starting something up together. As one door closes another opens and it could be an option.
I know its hard but try not to waste energy on why you are being made redundant as there`s not much you can do about it and it will tear you up. Its the job that`s redundant not the person and its best to just think of it that way.
Many thoughts will go through your head and discussion on here is a good way to get opinions from others that will help clear the way.
Think of this as a chance to re-evaluate what you want and seize the moment.
