  1. Good to here of a decent dealer....most (including Audi / BMW) are sh*t. Only one I had anytime for was Lexus......until I found they had sold me a bummer (a 2 year old car with no service history from new.....and therefore no engine warranty from Lexus :scare: ) I will certainly consider Infiniti for next service....although wont take the wife. Think she might like the G37!!!
  2. IMO GTRs always look a little smaller than they are....probably due to spoke design, but also enhanced by wheel colour. If you've got the cash - go for 19s. 20s on some wheels look silly on Zs, but think the GTR wheel is one you can get away with.
  3. were are you based...narrow down some of the above for you? Plenty people has sets laying around, but easier (cheaper) to source a set thats local to you.
  4. Might be worthwhile in fairness, people ALWAYS get track wheels nicked. If they are in some dogey colour and easily identifiable you're less likely to lose yours. Wheels getting stolen? Haven't heard of this..... Fairly frequently theres threads popping up on various forums on it, if you're out on track and a set of wheels are left unattended they are easy pickings. You see quite a few people with bike locks connecting them all to make them more secure now. Yep, esp if they are fitted with some sticky track tyres.....
  5. I like that a lot, where's that from? Have to agree....I like that.

  7. Have a go on a superduke....you'll either love it or hate it, no inbetween. Like a big toy compared to most bikes I have ridden. Doesn't feel that fast but handles amazingly. A few mods (to sort fueling), and its a perfect town bike. Your TL1000 will be faster outright (a great engine)....but throw in a few corners!!! Ive sorted the handling by replacing the rear rotory damper with a '08 R1 shock. The front has been spruced up with gsxr 750 forks with new radial calipers too handles brilliantly and stops like a bastid. I had it mapped the other day as I was worried the fueling wasnt right after Id fitted the full akra system and done some airbox mods. It only made 123bhp so thats nothing compared to todays bikes. It annoys me though that I cant flick it up onto the back wheel just off the throttle so Ill be putting a larger sprocket on the back when its time for a chain change Wheelies off the throttle??? You want a mildly tuned 2005 ZX10R.....totally mental, makes you chuckle a bit.
  8. Im 6.4....and the wife used to take the ****...stating I looked like a meerkat on the Superduke. So sold it and bought a R1. So much for slowing down!!! Her fault. Although to be fair, the R1 does suit the bigger rider better. Had a sit on the new Tuono....its even smaller than the Superduke.
  9. Have a set of standard 18s rubbed down ready for primer. If your not in a hurry, can paint them any colour you like!! Probably a wasted expense though if they are only from track use.

  11. someone like to go fast..... lol 10r, Superduke, RS4, Evo...... Just toys really.... Car list for last few years...a couple of scoobies, R33GTR (450hp), S4(v8), Golf GTI (270hp), RS4 (standard), ISF (V8 standard), Evo8 (400hp) and now a (slowish) 350z. Cant decide whether I like cars or bikes better..LOL.
  12. FZR400RR and Fireblade 954 in common with you.
  13. A few pics ...if photobucket works!!!!
  14. I hear you about the weather.....think I got 4 days last year where it didn't rain. And even them, ground temp was around zero!!!
  15. Riding for nearly 20 years. Here goes. Kawa KMX200 (with 125 stickers....I was young, didnt think plod would notice) FZR400RR EXUP....stunning little thing. ZX6R...first version. ZX6R....liked it so much I bought another. Laverda 650 Sport .....thought it was a good idea at the time. ZX6R (back to sanity) 916....launched into the gravel at Knockhill. Fireblade...954 version which was the best. ZX10R ....Mental version, which was just scarry. KTM Superduke ......to try and slow things down....right!!! R1.....and back to a ltr sport and a couple of crossers over the years for mud. Wish I had still kept them all. Not really a bad one out of the lot.
  16. If you can source a set with right ET, then they will sit out far enough...no need for spaces. And if cash isn't an issue...this would be your best bet. Just goggle 350z BBS alloys .
  17. FWIW...had same thoughts. Buy 19s in my price bracket but need spacers to clear brembos. OR settle on 18s , correct fitment, no spacers, but no hassles. Chose the second option. Have had too many problems previously with tyres touching, needing spacers, etc , etc. BUT Its up to you.
  18. If your only using at weekends shouldn't be that bad. I had a R33GTR many moons ago....and was no different to run wise than the previous Subaru. However as the new GTR is a different beast......my concern would be if something went wrong. Aren't gearboxes around the 18K mark?
  19. Was any other cars done?? If not then seems quite specific....not a simple "scratch" as we go past thing. Someone you know? or holds a grudge? You'd prob better getting it done yourself rather than insurance - esp if you can get it cheap. The insurance will just try and wangle on getting out of painting this bit and that.... Good luck, on both paint and finding the little f**ker who did it.
  20. Come on Martin...the suspense is killing us??
  21. You do realize that everyone will now be checking your profile......
  22. The XK is a tight squeeze in the back....I looked. Roughly the same as a 911, possibly a bit wider. 2+2 ? A 3 or 6 BMW. A bit boring but good cars. Or the oddball - a Monaro VXR. I considered all the above....then said to hell with the kids...and bought a 350z. And for what its worth, I think the Skyline (2+2) looks better than a 350z...more modern. With a nice set of 19s, they look good.
  23. Not sure about Z?? In a Scoobie I had yonks ago, most aftermarket downpipes (to delete cat) had a lamda connection. When deleted I just filled the hole in pipe with an old spark plug.
  24. I think (but could be wrong) that sensor after cat is only there to indicate a cat fault. It measures the flow and thus if too low/high...senses that something is up with cat. Obviously with removing cats and fitting decats / hfc.....this flow is altered, and leaving sensor in same position will throw up a fault. By moving sensor away from flow, this helps. On bikes, same applies, but instead of moving sensor out of flow, a simple plug in "sensor bridge" can be fitted. Surprised no one has done it yet for the 350z. Would plug into existing harness...and tell ECU everything is ok. Then again....someone with more knowledge than me will be along soon to tell me I'm taking crap.
  25. That's some tyre stretch you've got going on there. And is that a Stillen bonnet?
