To be fair, as the Romanian economy climbs....more and more nicked cars are getting shipped there. This isn't IMO, its true.I work with Romanians....and its very easy and cheap to get knocked off cars. At least we drive on the right side....which does stop most things heading that way. Germany has it worse. Seems this is the best place for our Eastern cousins to "borrow" cars from. OP - unless the guy has photos, cant see him proving it. Esp with no damage to your car. Up our way (north of border), the big problems is uninsured overseas cars. They come across for work and drag there old bangers with them (normally passats for some reason!!!). Leave them on the foreign plates....and dont insure them. They have a collision - your insurance takes a hit. I reckon the local plod is all to aware of situation, but the paperwork involved is not worth the hassle of pulling them over. My sister had a collision with a Polish turd (sorry to all the nice Polish out there), but this guy was a turd of the highest order. Looked like he had forsaken food for steriods. Anyway, didn't want police involved, wanted to pay for damage himself, in cash, in a dark carpark!!!! My daft brother in law agreed. He did get his money, but when I explained that he was just fueling the situation, his answer was at least he got the money. You cant win.

Unfortunately dealers have families as well, and are not slippery, belly sliding, scum suckers that we think....they need to make some cash out of deals. Plus they have expenses - warranties, insurance, premises etc etc.

Unfortunately a few things that might put some off. 1. Its an import - some will argue that this is not the case....but it is, for most of the buying public. 2. Its yellow - which narrows your market.....I actually like it but not sure could live with it. 3. Its an auto - again some will argue, but they tend to be worth less. On the positive, the wheel and minor mods will help it too sell, as will the general condition (from pics)....and so will the colour IF the right buyer is out there. Price....6K?? possibly a bit more. Trade....dont ask? but as mentioned, roughly 2/3 of the private price although depends what you trade it in against. I'm Nissan will give you 8k against a brand new GTR at full retail. If you were offered 7K you should have taken it. GLWTS - it looks a nice clean car.

I wouldn't bother unless you can stretch your budget a bit for a R33GTR. Once you buy a lower model and tune it right, the difference in cash would probably see you close to a GTR version, which sit that much better on the road and look right. Don't go by pics - check versions next to each other and you'll see how much better the GTR looks. I had one and it was a great car. Easily to live with for a 450hp car....although mind with tuning that on the GTR everything in the engine is twice!!. Two intakes, two turbos, to dump valves etc....mine cost me close to 4K to get to 450hp, which aint bad really. The R33 is big old bus that in GTR form really is very nice to drive. Not super fast standard but very planted, even in the wet. They are all getting on in life...and the do feel dated inside. Surprisingly cheap to run. Mine made contact with a kerb (diesel on road) and was written off for minor damage - wheels are 450 each, headlight was another 500, plus a couple of tyres. Find a good one and you want go wrong. Would still have mine if the kerb didn't win. And dont let anyone say different...midnight purple is the best colour. Unfortunately like hens teeth to get a nice one.

It's funny, I never used to either and then I thought about how many saxo owners etc paint their callipers red and stick brembo decals on their cars and decided that they were staying the original colour for authenticity Sh*t....got me thinking now

Im opposite mate.....hate the standard gold colour on the calipers....so like the red better . Considering it myself, either painting red or silver with black decals.

To be fair, 3 months wait was a bit much for most. Also the GB seemed to most to work it a bit more than expected.

Thanks Pete, but I think I'm right in saying the 370's run 355x32mm as standard? Not 100% sure though Nissan quotes two discs size for 370z (standard 12.6 and optional 14). Maybe same as 350z....some markets had the upgraded brakes at standard. 355mm is massive discs for a relatively small car. Smudge. Assume would need bigger wheels than standard to clear these?

I thought the big brembo kit was 6 pots? These look like standard 4 pots (same as Evos, scobbies etc). My RS4 had brembos - and the standard brembo bells aren't like these. Are the bells actual brembo? Also the limits on 32mm brembos is 31mm.

VXR is T/C ...makes more of a difference than on a N/A car.
