I came out of a 400bhp evo 8 into the zed. Outright performance is fantastic, I had mine timed to 60mph in 3.9sec and 1/4 mile in 12.4. Top speed an indicated 170+ Not alot else can get close for the money but be prepared for serious running costs. The engines are pretty much bullet proof on the 8 and 9 @400bhp but the car in general does require alot of tlc. The AYC takes some getting used to. Not to expensive to get good power out of. A second car is advisable. I'll be back in one at some point but will have a second car this time Different drive to the zed but you can be alot more aggressive with it.

I think the bottom one looks awful. I've seen one on an evo 8 and it looked even worse IMO. lose or change the outside edges and it would look 100% better

No way...just bought the car...Money very tight at the moment,that's why... park it up until you have more money for the right parts then. Scrimping on things like brakes puts yours and other peoples lives in danger. Not worth the risk

If you can't afford a pair of brake discs, my advice would be to sell the car and buy something more affordable.

Seems very expensive to me. Sorry I know that's not what you want to hear. I used to have a bit to do with cat d's and c's but its just not worth it any more, the resale value has hit rock bottom. The cat d status negates the good mileage imo. I would definitely get the mot sorted as no one will buy it without.

I had them in my evo, good bit of kit and do the job well.

Some people don't know who to ring, and there are a few decent insurers that aren't plastered everywhere (Keith Michaels,a plan etc).so for the insurance nieve surely a list of insurers to try would be better. I'm sure when people post, they are looking for recommendations in general, and isn't that what these communities are all about?

It was that pic that i based my opinion on. It's the corners, they just look too big, over exaggerated. Reminds me of the Max Power brigade from 12+ years ago IMO if the corners were slightly less prominent it would be right. Maybe i could modify one?
