  1. That's very different to my usage then lol... Sickeningly so... How can there be such a discrepancy between two of the same car?
  2. Okay, so thats' not a million miles off what I'm doing... helpful response, thanks Bradders.
  3. I do that as well........
  4. Hahahahaha.... That comment is made funnier because I had a slight chuckle about you seeing this thread while I was writing it...
  5. I should add, I don't drive particularly slowly... But I also religiously let the car warm up before I set off, for at least 6-10 minutes. (I'm late for work sometimes because I'm adamant about it lol.)
  6. Can I grab a few examples of how much oil the general Zed public tend to go through? I seem to have gone through quite a lot of oil over the past couple of years. Seems to need a medium sized top-up every 3-4 months or so, despite servicing once a year? I don't do more than 8,000 miles a year. It just seems a little extreme? I could be completely wrong though lol. I have checked and I don't appear to have any oil leaks that I can see, even at the back of the rocker covers, there's nothing! Any examples of general oil usage would be much appreciated Thanks! Ben

    New vanquish

Going on to show I don't just brag about knowing a Iot about Jags, I'm now going for the Astons too... InternaI headIight condensation is a horrific probIem with EVERY Aston I've seen/driven. They might be handmade, but unfortunateIy they're veeeery BADIy made. They are stiII one of the sexiest cars ever, but they're absoIute dog sh!t to drive. I drove one of the new Vanquish from SaIisbury to Chichester, and couIdn't wait to get out!!!! If you want to drive a decent Aston, you have 2 options: DBS Coupe ManuaI [never drive Sportshift 1/2] V12 Vantage S [been VERY sideways on a number of occasions in one of these]
  8. I've got a standard 54 pIate's air box? May be of no use, but worth a shot :/ IoI
  9. Saw this heading towards town from Stockbridge roundabout earlier... Lowered with Black wheels, looked nice Anyone on here?
  10. This is a very touchy subject with me, as I spent a lot of money to go University, even if it was loaned by the government. It is a particularly difficult decision, university, as you're quite right, it has become a knee-jerk reaction to go to University. In fact the large majority of young people tend to apply on the basis that they're going to have 'the time of their lives.' In truth, unless your chosen school is in the elite, university has become a complete farce. It is taught by lecturers who are seemingly on a huge power trip, and very often do not have the qualifications to teach at a middle-school, and therefore go to act as a 'lecturer' at a university. During my three years of university, I would say I learned very little indeed, and spent a large sum of money for what essentially was a piece of paper. University is hugely political, and the only thing it really taught me is that if you want to achieve anything in life, you have to spend a lot of time sucking up to people above you... something I am almost incapable of doing, I might add. I am currently in employment within a large privately owned company, and the degree is not being used at all. In fact, if you really want to know some statistics, 2 people out of 45 (across 4 sectors of Journalism) in my year at Uni have gone on to a role within Journalism. The rest are in utterly different careers. However, there is a slight contradiction arising in my life, which may make me very happy with the fact that I got a degree, as I've been put forward for a move into a high position with a dept. at Jaguar UK. Something that has never happened in this company before, but it turns out that they would not have considered me if it wasn't for my degree - so I simply cannot feel completely dissatisfied with my choice of 3 years and a lot of money spent. That's my random opinion anyway. What I've just written may make no sense at all, its' quite early and I'm a bit fuzzy from lack of coffee at this point in the morning. P.S. I also met my wife at uni - thus proving it to be a terrible idea...
  11. This is awesome bud. Very nice Iook overaII!!
  12. Very likely that I'll be going, considering it's a 10 minute journey for me. But just trying to get it off work currently. Will keep you posted. Sunday Service is always good fun Might even take something from work
  13. The R-Sport has the same suspension as a standard SE. As Dave says, adaptive dynamics is the key if you want to push it
  14. I went up to Gaydon the other day to have a look at the 3.0 S... It is a PROPERLY good looking car to be honest, still not 100% sure on the rear, but the rest of it kind of compensates for the rear. Also, the technology is staggering.. you can preheat your cabin from your phone, and even lock the car from anywhere in the world!? Not sure how that's going to be that useful, but even still - pretty cool!
  15. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=31204 Nearly... Hahaha, now now smarty pants, I said it would be on the V6s at first from what I've heard recently, they're running a test mule V8 at the moment at the high emissions circuit at Gaydon..
  16. I got so excited that this might be me lol. How sad. It's not though
  17. Interesting..... I'm about to get more heavily into it to be honest, do a few days at Lydden perhaps. Need to fork out for some decent coilovers after Xmas. As well as some camber arms. Did you not need to change the front camber arms with the coilovers on it? I heard a while you go that you did HAVE to, but upon inspection it didn't seem necessary??
  18. What's your current setup then Matt? Ie suspension/drivetrain etc... Have you gone balls out and got new arms, more angle etc?
  19. Christ, it's not even very expensive!!
  20. Debating whether I'd paint the front-facing side of it body coloured and put a big sticker on the black part...
  21. on a different note Matt, I love your rear spoiler
  22. It's genuinely one of my favourite circuits. I can't even explain why I like it so much... just beautiful corners, lots of tricky off-camber jobbies (Clay through to Druids)... Couldn't recommend it more. Lovely setting too
